Chapter 10

She was always wanting newer and better stuff and if she didn't get it she would throw tantrums here and there until finally it was all the time none stop. I can't even remember why I proposed to her in the first place. Me needing to be here for the reading was actually a good thing. How is that max cassidy asked/ It made me start thinking with my head. Honestly i don't even really want my ring back from her because that one doesn't mean anything to me like the one that is back at my office in my lock box.

Cassidy seemed a little shocked because she thought he would have given her his grandmother's ring but he didn't. I thought you would have given her your grandmother's ring but you didn't. Why if you don't mind me asking. That ring has a special meaning to me and simone wouldn't have appreciated it the way you did plus it was your ring. Like I said before, she was a high maintenance woman who had to have the best of everything. What about you Cassidy/ How has life treated you these last four years/ Let's see after i called off our engagement i went to dad and we exchanged a few choice words and i left.

I then stayed with aunt Sylvia and started volunteering at the hospital. I dated three maybe four guys but before it got too serious I found out they were only with me because of who my father was. They thought by dating me that maybe dad would back ideas they had and give them a good reference but when they would find out that dad and me were not talking they would change from prince charming to a mean toad. The last guy I dated scared me the most. Max noticed that when Cassidy said that that she had a big shiver escape her whole body. What is it about this guy the most that scares you cassidy/ His name is Nick and we broke up three weeks ago.

Somehow he found out that dad was sick and in the hospital and that I was there. He would call the house, call my cell phone and he even rang the hospital. I never took his calls but he would always leave nasty messages on my cell phone and home phone. What did those messages say cassidy/ They started out with him wondering how i was doing and if i needed anything but the more i ignored his calls the worse the messages got. One call really scared me!

Cassidy do you still have the messages on your phone/ I sure do let me go get my cell phone. As cassidy left the room max started to boil! How dare some guy call and stalk cassidy. Cassidy entered the room and pressed play on her phone.

Cassidy baby I know you were there I can see you through the window so now answer your phone. You lied to me you little witch I know you were visiting and talking to your dad. Know if you don't answer my call I am going to come after you and instead of your aunt bearing one she will be putting two family members into the ground. There is no place for you to hide and no one can help you. You're not going to answer my calls and you better watch your back because I will get you maybe not now but sooner or later I will find you.
