Chapter 14: Servants

Lu Li could sense the nurse's fusion with the Shadow Mask deepening. With time, she would become a part of the mask, turning into a minion like the Shadow Assassin and Claw Ghost. Currently, she was in a semi-fused state. Despite being a devout follower of Lu Li, she hadn't fully integrated with the mask.

"My servant, answer me. Are there any other ways to enter the hospital?" Lu Li's voice echoed in the nurse's mind.

The nurse blushed deeply, her legs giving way as she collapsed onto the toilet seat, responding with utmost reverence, "Oh... Great Master... There is an employee entrance on the side... I can... take you there..."

"Are you alright? Your voice sounds strange," Lu Li asked, sensing that her physical condition was better than ever.

"It's nothing, Master. I'm just overwhelmed by your charm... Just hearing your voice excites me..." The nurse's response made Lu Li pause. She had seemed normal on the ambulance, but now she exhibited a sudden obsession. However, seeing her fusion with the mask deepen, Lu Li decided to overlook it, as long as it didn't interfere.

"Also, Master, please note... most parts of the hospital have strict surveillance. If someone sneaks in, the security team will be alerted... Oh... I can't take it anymore..." The nurse's words were intermittent, interspersed with heavy breathing. "I will wait for you at the west entrance. I have a way to get you in..."

"Alright, make sure not to delay," Lu Li felt the nurse might be unreliable.

"No problem, Master's command is above all, even my body's reactions... Oh... It's happening again!"

Ignoring the commotion at the hospital's main entrance, Lu Li arrived at the west entrance. The nurse was already there, her face flushed as she looked at Lu Li. Her legs were visibly trembling, but she managed to hold herself together.

"Thanks, Ah Sheng. I'll thank you properly next time!" The nurse said to the surveillance camera, then hurriedly helped Lu Li into the employee entrance. "The security guard here knows me. I told him to look the other way. Otherwise, a team of guards would have rushed out. They wouldn't be a problem for you, Master, but it would have been a disturbance."

"Alright, explain the difference between the specialist and general doctors." Lu Li was uninterested in her other comments. He could feel himself nearing death and wanted to get straight to the point.

"The main difference is in the treatment ability. With your current injuries, only a specialist can fully heal you. A general doctor can only partially treat you, leaving significant aftereffects."

"The hospital only issues ten specialist tickets and two hundred general tickets daily. Currently, three specialist and five general tickets remain. A specialist ticket requires a hefty queue fee, but with the business card, you can get one directly."

"And the treatment fee?" Lu Li asked, producing the business card given by the red-faced man. The card depicted a mask with a serious, authoritative expression, accompanied by the text: Specialist Healer: Hu Luan Lai, with eighteen years of experience and a divine power mask.

"Specialist fees are always high. I can offer all my savings to help. Also, there's been some strange occurrences in the hospital lately. The administration has announced that anyone who resolves these issues will receive a free specialist treatment."

"That's the reception desk ahead. Here are all my savings. I need to get back to work, or it might cause trouble for you." The nurse handed Lu Li a card before leaving reluctantly.

As the nurse left, she felt her legs weaken and her body react in various ways, murmuring to herself, "I was in Master's presence... It was wonderful... I can't stay here... I might cause trouble for Master."

Lu Li watched her leave with satisfaction, sensing her transformation and determination to complete his orders despite her body's reactions.

Reaching the reception desk, Lu Li used the business card to obtain a specialist ticket for Hu Luan Lai, triggering a notification that the first stage of the mission was complete. The second stage would be revealed once all tickets were taken. Lu Li took the elevator to find Hu Luan Lai, intending to get treated first.

Meanwhile, a group of maskless Shadow Assassins watched the truck from a distance. Following Lu Li's instructions, they discreetly followed the hat-wearing driver, avoiding city surveillance cameras.

Soon, the Shadow Assassins disposed of the driver's body in the truck, reporting the situation to Lu Li before dissipating into black smoke.

At the hospital entrance, a masked Shadow Assassin, dressed normally, blended into the crowd. While gathering information and observing the approaching people, the Shadow Assassin's attention was drawn to a hurried figure. The man's actions were urgent, but his front mask displayed a gentle smile, and his back mask wore a similar expression, unchanged.

Holding three shadow darts, the Shadow Assassin waited until the man got closer, noticing bloodstains on the back mask. Confirming his suspicion that the man was a player, the Shadow Assassin prepared to act.

"Wait, don't attack yet!" Lu Li's voice echoed in the Shadow Assassin's mind. The darts vanished, and the Shadow Assassin kept a watchful eye on the man, awaiting further instructions. "If he chooses to get a VIP card, proceed. If he goes for the main entrance, assist him."

"As you command, my Master!" The Shadow Assassin responded.
