The Cold Doctor and Me
In industries where competition was fierce, Mia was a successful businesswoman working in finance, but then when the recent pandemic hit, she was forced to quit her job and go into lockdown with no job for six months.
She then decided to do a health administration course during lockdown where she landed her new job as a medical secretary, working for one of the most prestigious health clinics in the entire City. She felt grateful to be working for one of the most well-known clinics in the industry and the doctors were famous for their treatment methods, almost every secretary who worked for them only worked for a short amount of time, that’s how strict and demanding they were of their assistants.
Thirty-year-old Mia Bradford had a lot of working experience under her belt, but never in her life had she worked with anyone as difficult as Dr. Nate Blake, the cold doctor as everyone known him by. He never got along with everyone, but he did his job well and he had a reputation of being the best doctor there is.
Everyone one else was easy to get along with, just except this man. He was the most demanding out of all the doctors at the clinic and no secretary would last long.
The whole company knew he was difficult to get along with and being a typical 29-year-old bachelor, he was tall, fair, and handsome with the most beautiful emerald blue eyes anyone had seen. He was a thing of beauty and most of his clientele were all female, of which everyone could see why.
Mia could never understand why he’d give her the cold shoulder, “I don’t need your help, don’t send me too many emails because its annoying while I am treating patients, only message me if it is urgent!” he told her coldly on many occasions.
“What is wrong with this guy?!” she thought to herself frustratingly.
