Chapter 3: New Heroes

Green Hansen has unfortunately passed away!

"Can we make peace if I hand over Green Hansen's body to Doflamingo?" Duke pondered. "I don't want to fight Doflamingo unless we have stronger allies than Dover."

Duke glanced at the decaying mass on the wall, thinking, "Why not try cutting it down?" Although it's 1517, the Summit War is still three years away!

Doflamingo is formidable even without his awakened Ito Ito no Mi Fruit; he likely has A+ combat prowess. If his fruit is awakened, he could rival the emperor's deputies. Graves, still at level one, can't match up.

In the end, Duke didn't send Green Hansen's rotten body to Dover. After all, the deceased are crucial, and it's hard to remove it from the wall. Just giving the body without treasure as compensation isn't a peaceful gesture; it's provocation. Sending the body and a substantial amount of treasure as compensation would be fairer.

But giving away all that money? Duke would rather face Doflamingo again! What's the point of challenging Brother Ming?

Duke thought about the vast treasure in Green Hansen's secret room, staying composed.

Feeling moved, Duke looked around the now-empty secret room and decided to pause the lottery. Instead, he cleaned his hands thoroughly and lit three sticks of incense for Mr. Green Hansen, hoping for a wave of good fortune.

Only then did he press the lottery button. "Give me an S-level lottery," he requested confidently. "Bring forth the Star Casting Dragon King!"

In the pirate world, an Admiral with S-level combat power could easily defeat ten A-level elite Vice Admirals!

"Haha, Galen?" Duke chuckled. "Greene Hansen's ghost must have been lucky to get such a sacrifice!"

Duke felt elated seeing Galen, with his S-level potential. Achieving full potential would grant Galen Admiral-level combat prowess. However, Duke acknowledged that real life isn't like a game where heroes are balanced; some are naturally stronger.

"System, hold off on extracting Galen," Duke instructed. "Let's try again while our luck holds!"

Before the sacrifice's luck faded, Duke pressed the lottery button once more. "Give me an A-level lottery!"

The A-level lottery, costing 100 million Berry's, guaranteed at least a B-level prize, with a chance for S-level rewards.

Duke couldn't contain his smile when he saw the prize.

"Two draws, two heroes!" Duke cheered. "Let's try another B-level lottery?"

After spending 10 million Berry's, Duke obtained the B-level prize, Red Crystal, which slightly boosted physical fitness when equipped. Dissatisfied, he tried again and got the Doran Shield, which also provided a slight boost to physical fitness and recovery speed.

Disappointed with the low-level prizes, Duke decided to stop the lottery, left with only fifteen million wealth points.

Reflecting on the experience, Duke resolved not to gamble unless he had at least 100 million Berry's.

Equipping the Doran Shield and Red Crystal, Duke felt a slight increase in strength. He then summoned Galen and Gangplank.

"I'll fight for you," Galen pledged, kneeling with his sword.

"And I'll give you the whole ocean," Gangplank vowed, bent in respect.
