 Dearest Diary,

I've been aware of their plan for quite a while, but I'm still in shock; Why would my parents just send me off to nursery school all of a sudden? It's Christmas eve for Smokey's sake! Don't they want the only one of their kids still around to celebrate with them?

In fact, even if they end up changing their minds, I doubt things would be so jolly after all, especially with all the wars going on. God this world is so utterly depressing...
