"So, you want to learn Rasengan, huh?" Konohamaru asked the twin boys in front of him, his surprise was slight before it dimmed but not entirely gone. 'It's to be expected from big bro Naruto's sons.' He nodded sagely with his eyes closed.
The two twelve-year-old prodigies nodded their heads enthusiastically, their eyes twinkling with excitement, he could see the twinkle in them as if they held stars within their gaze.
"Let's head to the training grounds," he said, and both Nagato and Boruto followed him as he began to walk.
"You know, Rasengan is an A-rank jutsu, so don't be sad if you don't succeed on your first attempt. They say the Fourth Hokage took around three years to create this jutsu," he explained to them as they reached the training grounds. He had also purchased some balloons on the way to the training grounds.
They nodded, Boruto was amazed while Nagato was not so surprised, he knew this information already, he had watched the whole naruto show already in his previous life.
Raising his hand to the level of his stomach, chakra began swirling around his palm. In a few seconds, a beautiful yet dangerous Rasengan was formed.
Nagato was surprised to see that it was green. He had thought that all people had blue-colored chakra, but it seems he was solely mistaken.
"I created this Rasengan by rotating a high concentration of chakra in my palm," he explained. After a few seconds, he threw the Rasengan into the air, where it exploded.
"I call this the Exploding Rasengan; I came up with this variation myself. Though your father has many Rasengan variations." They nodded and attempted to create a Rasengan but couldn't.
A small wisp of light purple chakra began swirling around Nagato's palm before vanishing as if it had never been there, this surprised Konohamaru.
'Surely, they are prodigies. I couldn't even do this the first time I tried,' he thought about the hard work he had to put in and felt slightly jealous before shaking it off. 'I should be happy for big bro Naruto to have such smart kids.'
"Isn't there an easier way to do this?" Boruto asked. He couldn't replicate what his brother did, and he was growing impatient.
"Boruto, there is no easy way for anything," his brother reprimanded him. Konohamaru watched them, and he could clearly see the difference between them: one was impatient, and the other was the exact opposite. However, both were extremely talented. He sighed before handing them the balloons he held in his hands.
"You have to spread chakra like the water inside the balloon but not outside the balloon, evenly in a spiral form" Konohamaru explained to them as he took one of the water balloons inside his ninja bag and added chakra to it, making it explode.
"Now then, I've got a mission to complete, so I will leave you here. If you are truly determined to learn the Rasengan, continue training hard, as it needs immense chakra control," he said with a serious expression before disappearing from the training grounds, leaving the two brothers to their attempt to master the Rasengan.

It was night when the brothers reached home, trying to create Rasengan and utterly failing a lot of times, they didn't notice the sky turning red and then dark.
They even tried it with shadow clones, but it yielded no results at all. Occasionally, a small Rasengan would appear before becoming unstable and ultimately exploding.
Their clothes were torn in several places, and they had small burn marks on their bodies, which would heal in a day anyway, thanks to the Uzumaki genes.
Slowly opening the front door and closing it, ensuring that no one would see them, they gave each other a thumbs up, believing their plan was a success.
Only to freeze as they turned around and saw their mom, who had activated her Byakugan, in full 'mom' mode, staring at them like a judge awaiting their plea.
"Both of you, where have you been all day?" Her voice was chilling, icy cold. Now they understood where Himawari gets her 'demon' mode from.
Putting on a tough facade, Nagato walked forward like a businessman. "Sorry, Mom, Sarada wanted help with her training, and we were assisting her," his businessman smile ever-present before it faltered when he noticed a tuft of pink hair in their living room. 'Shit!'
Looking at her now sweating sons, she sighed before she spoke, "Go freshen up and come eat dinner," and walked away, with a slight smile on her face.
Earlier, she had called Ino and asked if she could locate her sons for her. She was worried when they didn't come home even though it was already sunset. Ino had told her they were at the training ground.
Nodding hastily, they both ran to their respective rooms, passing by a slightly smiling Sakura and Sarada, who had a sly smirk on her face in the living room. The two boys wryly smiled at them as they went to have their baths.
After the bath, Nagato was the first one to come downstairs and enter the living room. Sarada was on the couch, watching Kagemasa, while Hinata was in the kitchen preparing dinner, with Sakura keeping her company.
Scooting to the other side as Nagato sat on the couch with her, she gave him a stink eye with mock anger on her face. "Do you always use my name as an excuse?"
"Nope, this was the first time. I was practicing Rasengan, you see. It's Dad's jutsu, so I thought, why not learn it as well? Sorry I used your name like that."
"I can forgive you, but only if you turn the lie into truth," she said with a small blush dusting her cheeks as she looked the other way.
Seeing where she was hinting at, he nodded with a smile as he got in her face and said, "You need my help for training, right? No problem!" He exclaimed.
This made her panic at the blunt statement. She didn't like asking for help, but even if it was from her best friend, she still felt a little embarrassed.
"Too close," she said, pushing his face away with her hand, and then she once again looked at the TV.
"Whatever," he said as he also began to watch the TV. "Tomorrow, at 9 pm, at the training ground, let's train together. Oh, Boruto will be there too."
She didn't let her annoyance show on her face once she heard they wouldn't be truly alone at all.
But she was quite annoyed, not because Boruto was coming with them, but because she couldn't be truly alone with Nagato.
She was certain she didn't have any romantic feelings towards him. 'But why?' she found herself asking once again.
