Prologue

"You, you are dying"

"You are dying"

"You are dying"

Voice from the specialist continued to echo in my ear as we were navigating our way back to house.

Opposite to the way we were heading was a path, leading to a massive structure with the designated word on top of it, spelled, H, O, S, P, I, T, A, L.

We just got off from Hospital.

Looking at the road we were traveling, it was pretty bleak as only two lumps of metal were placed on the ground, where the supposed concrete used to be. The metal worked fantastically as it drags our exotic car off the ground, hovering it in the air.

I looked more to my amused, shifting my gaze to Mam and Dad who were wearing heroic armors that just used to exist in fantasy novels. Both of them were high-ranked explorers, working in Association, a dream workplace for everyone.

They, later on, dropped me at our house, leaving afterwords of comforts and reassurance. I was dying so it's normal that they'd do that. Though they wanted to comfort me further, their positions didn't allow them. They still have a dungeon to explore so they left miserably.

'Cough, cough', my illness struck me again. Illness that emerged concurrently with dungeons. 'Shit' that shortened my life, it's incurable.

Doctor said I'd die in a year. So I turned hopeless, helpless, until -

'Ding'

One day I received an email from Dad...

"I found a cure!"

Those words shone the light of hope for me. So in thrive to gain life, I ventured into dungeon where the so-called cure was at.

Assembling and seeking help from friends, I found it feasible, or so what I thought. Never I knew that monsters weren't the only danger lurking in this perilous world, humans too.

In the end, I realize...

I---- I was being naive all along.
