Chapter 9: Police?

After checking the walker Knox and Morgan went back to the van and get the guns and put silencers in them.

Knox opens the map and checks out the surroundings.

Ever since Knox got the system he did many experiments when he was free and from what he gathered the map is somehow connected to the storage space.

The map can see through how big the storage space is.

For example, right now his storage space is 2.5 acres and he can see through that.

In addition, he also found out that his storage space is unique.

By unique he initially thought that it was only 2.5 acres but it doesn't end there his space consists of 2.5 acres in each direction, which means he has 2.5 acres in front, back, above, and below as well as on both sides.

By adding all sides he can focus on one direction and add all 6 sides and can see far equaling 15 acres.

But mostly he kept his map in the default mode of 2.5 on all sides for safety purposes.

He mostly checks it every 20 minutes to see if someone is following him or if any survivors or walker is near him.

After getting the guns he opens the map to see if anyone is near.

Because they park just outside the Municipal Market the map can cover all 2.5 acres on each side and it covers all of the markets but it seems that only 2 green dots inside which Knox knows can only be Jenny And Duane.

Why was he sure? It's because when he recruited Morgan and his family their dots turned green but when Knox was confused he notice that there was a dim blue dot not far from the market.

Knox was confused its the only time he sees a dim dot but for now, go back inside the market so Morgan can be at ease.

Since the dot seems to not be moving he will check it after getting inside.

After Knox and Morgan sneak on the ladder going in the roof which was the only door that was not blocked by him he opened it with the key and went inside.

"Well it is locked so they should be alright but stay vigilant," Knox said to Morgan.

First, he and Morgan go to the room where Morgan's family is staying and when Morgan sees his family safe he told them to stay put.

After making sure that every room is clear Knox told Morgan to clear the back door so he can put the van next to the door when they leave the city today.

Knox went outside to get the van and also check the map if the dim blue dot was still there, sure enough, it didn't move at all but this time there are at least 15 red dots next to it.

Knox quickly put the van next to the back door and told Morgan to stay so he can check the surroundings.

On the way, Knox kills some walkers and saw some dead ones some of them are bashed and some of them have bullet holes.

After passing those he saw a store with 15 walkers outside scratching the door and growling at it.

But when they saw Knox they went to him and one by one he killed them with his katana.

Although Knox brought a gun with him and has many bullets he will not use it unless it was needed.

After cleaning his katana with the cloth he has in storage space he put it back on its cover and put the cloth back in the storage.

He got his pistol in hand just to be sure the situation is unknown and it was the first time he sees a dim dot so it doesn't hurt to be cautious although he is certain that he won't die by a bullet unless it instantly kills him he can recover.

Not only did he study his map but also did some research on his body is not bullet resistant yet but he heals faster 10x faster than normal people.

Usually, for a gunshot wound, the skin would start repairing in 10 days, and if it is Knox it will start repairing from the first day.

After making sure that no walkers are lurking near and the dim dot hasn't moved Knox made his way to the door guns up and finger on the trigger.

Since he knows the person's location Knox aims in its direction and but the door is blocked by something so Knox knocked on the door.

(THE DIM DOTS POV)

On the other side of the door...

A figure holding a bat and pointing it at the door while shaking, when she got inside this store she was just staying for a bit but she fell asleep due to the fever she got after being scratched by those things.

Ever since being scratched by those things she started having a fever.

And it has gotten worst by the hour so she risked it and went out to find medicine but unfortunately, she started getting headaches due to the fever and was forced to stay in this shop full of glasses and unknowingly fall asleep.

She has been here for quite a while and when she woke up she heard scratching by the door luckily she barricaded it before she fell asleep.

The sounds on the door seem to stop and all of a sudden for a minute it was quiet but this only makes her more uneasy now she is in weak condition and only has a bat and an empty gun.

After a few more seconds she heard a knock follow by a man's voice.

"Hey I know you are in there the walkers have been cleaned so you're safe to go out!"

After hearing this she didn't feel safe at all she has seen many things these past 52 days ever since all these things happened people start to show who they are.

Having been on the front line being a police officer she has seen people commit violence even before the outbreak happened.

She got up and clocked the gun back to seem like it has bullets in it.

Removed the blockade and opened the door.

Holding a gun she point it forward with a tight grip the door was slowly opened and she saw a man seems to be the same age as her.

A man standing at 6 foot 3 with a well-kept body with black hair wearing a hooded-leather jacket and a jean with black boots on.

The two looked at each other and both of them examine each other from top to bottom.

(END OF HER POV)

After Knox waited for a moment the door was opened it was dim but he saw a figure it seems to be a woman and she was holding a gun.

When the door was fully opened and the figure was fully exposed Knox saw a beautiful woman in a police uniform the same age as him.

Pity the woman has a scratch on her face but in Knox's view, it seems to add to the woman's beauty. (IMAGE IN MAIN COMMENTS)

Both were holding a gun to each other and seeing that neither of them wants to lower their weapons Knox spoke.

"Talk?"

Just one word straight to the point seeing that the woman is the police and not backing down he is willing to talk.

Although the woman seems to be in a weak state her eyes are cold and ready to shoot if he makes a move, but Knox is certain that he can still take the woman down but it's unnecessary if both parties can talk it out.

The policewoman was hesitant but seeing that the other party is willing to talk and now she is in a weak state she agreed.

Both parties lowered their guns at the same time and went back inside the shop.

PS: Seeing that no one suggested a name the last chapter I decided that I would introduce a OC I was originally planning to pick one of the names of suggested character and pick one to show early in the plot but hey comments are dry af alas OC it is.

Anyways the image of the OC is in the main comment this is the only chapter for now unless I get write another one later.
