Avelon

Swinging her legs over the ledge Nalini looks over the huge Valley. The leaves on each of the trees rippled with all the colors of the rainbow while the river down below shimmered as if there were diamonds in the water. Everything was in full bloom. At the center of it all was a small tree, dark and dying, it offered an ever present reminder that everything here is temporary.

A whisper came from the deepest part of her soul, pleading for the safety of this realm. A whisper meant for the wind. A plea meant to go unanswered.

"What would you offer us in exchange? We are unable to make something from nothing" a voice whispered back

She spoke back not using her lungs but her heart "I will give you everything I am for a chance to change what is to come. Will you promise me that?"

"And so it will be done. You have this chance to say goodbye to your companions"

"Nali, what are you doing up there," A voice echoed throughout the valley "We have to leave now, it wont be safe here for much longer"

"All of you have done so much for me. I am glad to have met each of you" she said back to the voice

She twisted around as she spoke only to see three faces fill with panic as shadows pushed her off the ledge of the cliff. She looked down to see the ground coming up quickly.

Nalini, a girl with beautiful brown hair and sparkling silver eyes, disappeared before she could even hit the ground.
