Loyalty

"What do you think that he wants from me?" asked Hunter as for once in a long time, he looked nervous and concerned as he paced back and forth.

"I don't know, you just have to go and find out for yourself" said Bruce as he shrugged off Hunter's behaviour.

"Come on, don't be a scaredy cat Hunter" said Willis as he laughed, he loved seeing Hunter so nervous, because to tell the truth, that brat needed to be shaken up a little, because his behaviour lately has been intolerable.

"Yes Hunter, don't be one, listen to Willis, I mean after all, you have been very, very serious and calm, so this sudden call for you should not be alarming" said Luk as he laughed.

It was hilarious to him and the rest of the rogues, the way Hunter switched from his bad mood, to a worried one was as funny as a turtle falling on it's shell and not being able to turn back over again.

"Yes Luk is right, maybe he just wants to commend you on your behaviour so far" said Willis as he laughed.

"Oh yes, maybe he even wants to give you a present" said Luk

"Enough guys, that is enough teasing" said Bruce as he stopped them from saying any more.

"You are lucky Hunter, if not that Bruce is here to save you, we would have continued on some more" said Willis, as he had been looking for a way to get back at Hunter for his bad attitude towards everyone.

"That is enough Willis" said Bruce.

"Anyway Hunter, you cannot keep him waiting, he called for you especially" said Bruce as he turned to look at Hunter.

"The question I have is why?" asked Hunter as he was trying to assess all possibilities.

"I have no idea, he said nothing to me" said Bruce.

"And why are you so worried anyway?" asked Bruce

"You should be fine… that is unless you did something wrong, or tried to do something wrong that made him summon you?" asked Bruce as he raised an eyebrow, Hunter's reaction was suspicious, why was he so worried about going to meet Azazel?

"I did nothing of that sort" said Hunter as he quickly became defensive.

"That is good to know, so there should be no problem with you going to meet him" said Bruce., he wanted to see if Hunter had something to hide, because if he did not heed to his warning about leaving that witch girl alone, he would be in serious trouble.

"I will see you later" said Hunter as he did not say anything and he just started walking.

"You think he did something wrong?" asked Willis.

"You can never be sure with Hunter" replied Bruce as he sighed.

"Hey is it only me, but I hear rain" said Luk as the rogues were outside the camp.

"I also hear it" said Willis

"Hmm strange, there is no rain here at all, it is as dry as a desert" said Bruce

"Then that means that it's raining on the other side of the plains, because I can clearly hear it" said Luk

"Whatever is going on, it's not our problem, all we need to do is be ready, because things are slowly coming to an end" said Bruce as Willis and Bruce nodded.

Meanwhile in Azazel's Office.

"You called for me?" asked Hunter as he stepped into Azazel's Office.

"Yes Hunter, take a seat" said Azazel as he gestured that Hunter sit down.

"Thank you, but I would prefer to stand" said Hunter as he was not here to stay for long, he just wanted to hear what Azazel wanted to tell him, and after that he would go his way.

"Suite yourself" said Azazel as he looked as cold as ever.

Hunter was suspicious and a bit bothered on why Azazel called him here, on a usual day Azazel never called for him, and with him suddenly doing so it was very concerning.

Hunter was worried that maybe Nia had something to do with it, maybe she betrayed him again, and told Azazel his plan, if she did that he would never forgive her, and he would forever regret meeting her in the first place.

Hunter was sure that this could go two ways, the one being that Azazel knew about his plan to get rid of Selene, and he was going to punish him severely for trying to get rid of his greatest ally, and the second being, he was worried for nothing and what Azazel wanted to say was in no way related to Selene at all.

"Hunter I have a very important question for you" said Azazel as he looked at Hunter very intently.

"Ask away Boss" said Hunter as he decided that the best thing for him to do right now was to act as calm as possible, because if he did not, he could raise Azazel's suspicions if he was not sure of whatever anyone told him.

"Hmm you seem enthusiastic" said Azazel as he was suspicious of Hunter's attitude.

"Why would I not be boss??" asked Hunter.

"Hmm" said Azazel

"Would you die for me?" asked Azazel as he asked the question abruptly.

Hunter went quiet, what sort of question was that??? He had clearly heard that Azazel asked if he would die for him, and to tell the truth as he thought of it right now, he would not die for him, he was not his brother in arms, he was not a rogue, he was a witch, and he did not have that kind of respect for him to ever die for him.

In all honesty real answer was no, no he would never die for him, but he could not possibly say that right now, or else he would be killed immediately, Hunter knew how Azazel worked, or so the thought.

"Yes Boss, Yes I would die for you" said Hunter as he looked at Azazel.

"Is that so?" asked Azazel and Hunter nodded.

"Because to me, it took you a long time to reply, which means that you are lying" said Azazel rather calmly.

"No Boss, I am telling you the truth, I would die for you" said Hunter as he decided that the only way to get out of it now was to make sure Azazel believed him one hundred percent, or else.

He could not believe that he could have been so careless as to make Azazel suspicious of him, what was wrong with him lately??? come to think about it, he had not been himself since he had met Nia, and especially with her leaving him.

"If not, if I did not respect you, I would have left since Liam died" said Hunter as he knew that he had to play his cards right.

That statement of his was not completely true, but it was not a lie either, the truth was that he had actually stayed back because he did not want to go back home, and also he wanted to get revenge for Liam and he was only going to do that by killing that wretched woman Selene, but he was sure that with the way things were now, he was not going to be able to do that anytime soon, and that fact killed him, he was revenge and he wanted it now!

"Are you sure about that Hunter?" asked Azazel as he looked at Hunter in his usual cold way.

"I am very sure Boss, trust me I am" said Hunter.

"Hunter, I need to be sure of where your loyalty lies" said Azazel as he seemed calm.

"Whatever I ask you to do, you need to do it, wherever I ask you to go, you will go" said Azazel.

"That is not even a question Boss, I am at your service" said Hunter.

"To tell the truth Hunter, I do not trust you at all" said Azazel.

"I trust the other rogues completely, but you... I do not" said Azazel

"You are the youngest rogue, you are very emotional, very unpredictable and uncalculative" said Azazel

"You can easily do things that no one else can expect" said Azazel.

"Should I go on?" asked Azazel as he looked at Hunter.

"No" said Hunter as he looked down.

"Boss, you are right, all those things that you said about me are true" said Hunter.

"But, I have my reasons" said Hunter as he looked up.

"The same way you have your own reasons" he said as he looked at Azazel.

"I cannot promise that I do not not have my own plans or beliefs" said Hunter.

"But as I said earlier, and as our original agreement, we rogues, including me are loyal to you, and you alone, till the time of our agreement be concluded" said Hunter.

"Hmm, good to know that you remember your agreement" said Azazel.

"I admire your boldness" said Azazel.

"Thank you Boss" said Hunter.

"And I like your honesty" said Azazel

"Anyway, that matter has come to an end for now" said Azazel.

"Gather the troops, I have something very important to do" said Azazel as he smiled.

"Yes Boss" said Hunter as he walked away, things were about to get very serious, and he knew it.
