an unexpected journey

i see bright lights surrounding me from all directions as i struggle to lift my broken body from the floor, i notice a crowd of people looking at me some with pity and some with sadness mixed in with a little curiosity, i try to look around fighting to keep myself conscious trying to call for help but finding out that nothing is coming out of my mouth , i gave up and decided to remember what has happened and how i ended up in such a state that's when it hits me looking at the latter half of my body finding it under a truck i remembered the the accident and then remembering the fear i had at that moment looking at the blood and shattered bones of my legs and part of my calf i began to fell my vision blur as my conscience drifts away leaving me in a world of silence and darkness , as if I'm in the void i am met with nothingness and emptiness as i thought :

( is this where the dead go? no heaven, no hell ? is it all made up ? don't misunderstand im not a religious guy but is it just nothingness ? that's all for all eternity)

i kept contemplating and morning my fate until I hear a voice pulling me back from my stupor

[ dylan , dylan , what are you thinking about ? ]

i turn around in a flurry trying to figure out the source of the voice only to find out an odd addition to to this otherwise dark and empty space , i find out a couple of chairs surrounding a red wood round table with golden carvings in the shape of a majestic Dragon in the middle of it i switch my attention from the table to the chair the stands right in the middle more specifically the figure residing in it it was a mass of whiteness akin to a globe of light without a specific shape sitting the or rather hovering over the chair for the lack of a better word making me even question the presence of the chair in the first place , i look at this globe trying discern what it is suddenly i heard the voice from before speaking in my ear again but this time clearer and with a tinge of amusement mixed in it:

[ dylan boy , you know it's quite rude to stare at people ]

i was surprised as i turned again trying to locate the source of this voice but to no avail and then it downed on me ( quite rude to look ? ) i sat there contemplating and suddenly i turned to look at the seemingly dead white globe as i said as i pointed at myself:

[ arrre you thhe one that spoke to me ? ]

i questioned as i was unsure of what i was seeing and hearing right now , i waited for a response but i got none i moved my eyes away from the globe blaming myself for my stupidity and reminding myself that it was that it is probably the work of my imagination as well as the fact that i was dead and the impossibility of finding another living being here ( it is probably my imagination, i guess I'm starting to feel lonely here and my brain is playing games with me , i hope i don't end up crazy )

i turned to face the globe only to find that it disappeared not leaving any trace behind , i again blame myself for my foolishness, and as i restore my line of sight intending to enter in slumber i was again interrupted by the same voice this time bearing a more joking tone :

[ now now dylan , writing me off as a mere illusion . i guess leaving you for a 1,000 years in the void have began to take a toll on your mental health it wasn't my idea but you have my apologies nonetheless ]

i stop my actions shocked as i look in front of only to find the same globe hovering 10 meters away from me , i try to swallow my shock by taking the initiative and asking the question that's been bugging me since i saw it :

[ who are you or what are you ? and why are you here? ]

i asked in a somewhat awkward voice as i didn't know what is going on

[ aaahhhh dylan boy , who am I is not important now you are not asking the right questions , but i guess anyone in your shoes would like to know, ok it doesn't hurt to tell you a little, as you already know you're dead ][ so it's not a dream after all ][ don't interrupt me dylan boy, i didn't finish yes you are dead and that's an irreversible fact in your old world at least but that's only the beginning ... ]

says the globe in a very mysterious tone .
