First Meeting

It is a foggy night of bone chilling winter in the month of January.Her eyes are filled with rage as Ariana is looking at her phone screen under her quilt. Although it is a cold night, she is feeling hot because of her anger towards him. She puts away her phone and closes her eyes. She starts bringing images from her past in her mind.

One year ago, it was warm evening of October. Ariana went to her usual place "The Clear water Beach" and started waiting for her brother Jacob. Indeed they were not siblings, still they have a sibling bounding amid them as they both are very caring and protective for eachother.

Ariana was sitting on her usual spot near the bonfire. This place is tranquil. Many people were around there, still maintaining the tranquility of the place. The setting Sun was making it more mesmerizing. Ariana was listening to the calm music being played nearby and lost in her day- dreaming.

Ariana is in her early twenties. She is quite simple as compared to the other contemporary girls. She was not wearing any make-up. Yet, decked up her small lips with dark nude lipstick. Her face is round as her eyes. That is the most alluring feature of her face. Her two big almond shaped brown eyes. These two are alone enough to gravitate anyone's attention. Her height is neither too tall nor too short. Her body structure is quite thick. However, the fullness of her chest and lower back has made her physique more noticeable. She was wearing a brown full sleeves top with dark blue jean that was adding beauty to her wheatish complexion. Her hair were wavy and tied in a medium length ponytail.

Ariana startled by an unfamiliar masculine voice from behind. "Hello! Ariana". This isn't her brother's voice who could it be?. Ariana surprisingly turned her face and saw a familiar face. It was Gavin. He is best friend of her good friend Presley. She is 18 years old. Ariana met her on this beach. As she usually visit her, so she knew the visitors who oftenly visit here like her. Gavin was one of them. Ariana has seen him many times talking with Presley but both of them never took initiative to talk with eachother. It was the first time, he talked to her.

Gavin is rather taller than Ariana. Even his complexion is much fairer than her. His eyes are small like beads sparkling in the moonlight. His gaze was deep like the deep black colour of his eyes. The colour of his hair is similar to his eyes. His perfectly sculptured lips like a red pulp is inclining the charm of his oval face. He is neither chubby nor slim. His body is perfectly toned. one can guess about his muscles from his white shirt and black jeans. He looked like an angel from the heaven.

Ariana greeted him with amusement, " Hii!" She really wanted to know about this sudden first meeting. He sat on the next bench where Ariana was sitting. Both didn't say a word after that. Ariana is a talkative girl. However, she is bit reserved, as she doesn't like to talk much with people she doesn't know. Gavin was one of them. Due to this, mostly people consider her arrogant. But who know her well, doesn't have same attitude towards her.

Ariana was wondering why Gavin hasn't spoken any word after that. " Can we take a photo together?" Gavin spoke while breaking the silence between them. Ariana felt awkward after hearing it, since it was quite unusual to ask for a picture like this. Because they didn't really know eachother. Ariana shook her head involuntarily, for she didn't like to have pictures with a stranger. She picked her phone from her purse and started scrolling the newsfeed on social media. Unknowingly she opened Gavin's profile and started scrolling through his photos.

Gavin had posted many photos, majority of them was with girls. Mostly they have worn matching outfits with hashtags of best friends or friends. Ariana felt relieved, instead knowing the reason why would she be insecure for him. In her mind she was imagining to be a partner like him who feel happy to introduce her to the world as her partner. She had completely forgotten that Gavin was still sitting next to her. When she realised she hastily locked her phone and peeked through the side of her eyes whether he was looking or not. She took a deep sigh. He wasn't looking at her. He was just lost in the beauty of night so as Ariana usually did. Ariana felt the similarity between them.

Both of them sat near the bonfire without uttering a word. The night was overlapping the sky and making it more beautiful. Ariana felt secured with his presence. She usually sit here with Jacob but he didn't show up today. ["He might be busy"] Ariana wondered. Ariana stood from her place and about to go home. She gave a heart warming smile to Gavin before leaving. He replied ,"Bye! Good night Ariana". Ariana nodded her head ," You too! Take care".

Remembering all these things makes Ariana more furious. She is regretting her decision of meeting him. She is scolding herself to love this man who doesn't care about her anymore. Again a message popped up on her phone. It is from Gavin. Ariana has deleted his number. Still she knows it's from him. She has an urge to scold him, however she doesn't. This time he has passed the limits. Usually Ariana cries after being angry, while this time she doesn't. She is feeling mixed emotions of anger, frustration and being broken. She can't think more. Hence, she decides to sleep. After a couple of minutes, the deep slumber engulfed her thoughts.
