Kamish

Being blatantly denied the ability to sleep with my wives because of a sudden house rule that Hae-In had come up with on the spot. I woke up the next morning only to find that Hae-In's suite was now surrounded by an armada of cars with Mr. Go at the front.

Teleporting beside Mr. Go, I plant my shoulder on his and I stare at the door with the same amount of intensity of everyone else. Having felt like Mr. Go was about to have a heart attack right then and there; he stares at me, and I stare back worried.

"Shiro…" Mr. Go holds his heart, "I've been meaning to talk with you for some time now. But every time I try… you just disappear and evoke even more problems I must confront you about."

"Problems?"

Giving me the most blank stare possible, Mr. Go presents the building we were staring at.

Upon closer inspection, I turn back to Mr. Go and say, "I don't see a problem with the building… Is there something I'm missing?"

Rubbing at his temples, Mr. Go's eye twitches, "I mean the people inside of it… And before you ask me 'What about them?', I mean your "wives" who had been seen coming out of a Gate beside the Hunter's Headquarters."

Quirking my eyebrow, I try to figure out how exactly that poses as a problem.

To save me from the predicament, my wives emerge from the building and look at the crowd of Hunters visibly distressed. Though, their worry melts when they see me among the crowd.

Watching as Mitsuri hops over to me, I open my arms, ready to embrace her. Mr. Go tries to step forward and halt her progress, but his outstretched hand is quickly maneuvered around and Mitsuri dives in.

Mr. Go, who's eyes were wide in surprise at having been so easily dodged, creaked his head backwards to stare at me, who was giving him a small smile. Rubbing his temples once more and murmuring, "I must be getting old.", Mr. Go makes a signal and the spectators hurriedly disperse.

Knowing that Mr. Go was still waiting for an in-depth explanation of everything that had occurred with me over the past week, I invite him to our Guild Headquarters. Having no other option than to accept my proposal, Mr. Go arrives at our office and I answer all his questions.

Stressing the fact that my wives had come from a Gate, he eventually completely gave up on that topic when my only answer was, "They're my wives."

After getting a rough understanding of the situation at hand, Mr. Go decides that it's the proper time to inform me that I'd be travelling to the International Guild Conference (IGC). The IGC is an annual event hosted by the Federal Bureau of Hunters in America where representatives of all the major guilds from around the world would gather and talk about the current trends and future prospects of the global Hunter industry. As such, only the strongest hunters from every country and their guilds are invited to the conference.

I immediately want to reject the offer to go, after I want to spend some quality time with my wives, but Mr. Go says that he can permit the addition of my wives in the trip to the IGC.

Watching the reactions of my wives travelling by plane was something I very much enjoyed and when we did arrive in the United States, the excitement faded as we didn't even have time to explore as we were very quickly escorted off to the Conference, surrounded with the members of the Korean Bureau with our ever so helpful Woo Jinchul beside us.

Happily having him meet with my wives, I feel us approached by a foreigner. Casting a glance backwards, I see a fear stricken handsome young man with blue eyes and blonde hair. He's wearing a long blue overcoat over a three-piece suit. He was sweating horribly while his eyes darted to staring above me and then below Jinwoo.

Frozen in place and not making a move to meet with us, we're instead approached by the Bureau's branch in Asia.

"With the exception of Hunter Sung and Hunter Urokodaki, the rest of you will be escorted to your rooms."

Like I'd expected, my wives proved to be difficult as they locked themselves to my sides. After ensuring them that I everything I was doing was natural, that they'd never be in danger, giving them all kisses, and telling them, "Even if you are ever in danger, I'll simply swoop in from the heavens," they all relented and head off to the hotel.

Finding ourselves in a luxury car, we head off to the Hunter's Bureau headquarters. Within moments of driving, Adam White pulls out a computer and shows us pictures of an event that occurred just a few days ago. Said event was the death of Hunter Christopher Reid, one of the Nation Level Hunters, and he lost in a rather serious fashion.

Soon after explaining the event in full detail, Adam continues to show us more images, one of a rune and one of a corpse. Both images belonged to mankind's greatest calamity, the dragon "Kamish". But both Jinwoo and I didn't focus a single bit on the rune, but instead on the preserved corpse of "Kamish" that they had in their possession.

Finding that Adam didn't know the location of the corpse, we wait together with him as he tried to get the permission from his higher ups.

Exiting from the room, Adam is soon followed by David Brennon, the director of the Federal Bureau of Hunters. Entering an elevator beside him, we start to descend through the Headquarter.

"I'd like to sit down and talk things through a little more, but… this is what you'd prefer, right?"

Watching as the elevator door opens, we start to traverse down a lit strip until reaching a mechanical door many times our size. Awestruck by the sight of the massive bones, we walk up to the glass.

"Kamish killed hundreds of elite Hunters, before finally being taken down by the 5 remaining Nation-Level Hunters. He's been preserved like this ever since. And the energy used by the Hunter's Association's Headquarters is also supplied by Kamish's Mana Crystal. …So, are you two satisfied now?"

"Please stand back."

Taking a step forward first, Jinwoo plants his hand on the glass and mutters, "Arise."

Failing on his first attempt, he tries once more and a massive shadow starts to emerge from the corpse, and then finally a Shadow Dragon stands atop its bones. Letting out a roar, the everything in the room bursts.

Easily dwarfing Jinwoo with its size, the Dragon asks, "Are you the one who summoned me…? King of the Dead, Shadow Monarch."

Adam and David are easily taken aback by this sudden development and attract the attention of the Dragon, causing it to grow enraged and shatter the glass that held it captive. As the Dragon goes to burn everyone else to a crisp, Jinwoo stops it and starts to converse to it in its tongue. After a short conversation, the Dragon bows its head and tells us a very interesting piece of information.

"Yes, my King. I served the King of Mad Dragons, the Monarch of Destruction."

Watching as it wags its tail while being patted by Jinwoo, it then begins to radiate a white light. "It seems, my King, that I must bid you farewell… It appears that our meeting came about too late, my Lord. I envy your soldiers, who can serve you for all eternity. My King, there are four Humans who have borrowed the strengths of Rulers. Be wary of them, my Lord. Though our time together was brief, it was an honor to meet you, my new k…"

Turning back to nothing but a pile of bones, our excitement for the day seemed to have ended. But instead of turning to leave, Jinwoo turns towards me and nods to the bones. Making my way forward, I stick my hand out.

⸢Light Extraction can be used. However, the Target's Light has been touched by the Shadow. The Strength of the Soldier shall weaken significantly. ⸥

"That's fine… I guess… so just Ascend."

⸢Light Extraction has failed. 2 tries remaining. ⸥

Giving the pile of bones a blank stare, I tell it, "I have no intentions to be your King… All I wish to do is save you from the emptiness of the Void. This offer shall only come once, so Ascend."

Just as the bones start to rattle and rise into the air, I whip my head around and hurriedly ask, "You don't need the bones right."

Seeing them give a shake of the head, I breath out a sigh of relief, get flash banged, and look at my newly emerged soldier.

Dressed in a pale glowing armor with bone lines accentuated, it sprouts a pair of ashen wings from its back, outlined by draconic bones. Clenching its hands into fists, tiny scales sprout out across its body, and horns grow out from its head. Having seemed to finally finish with its transformation, the Soldier kneels.

"Going from one King to another feels deeply wrong of me." It speaks in its tongue.

"As I said before, that was not the intention of transforming you… It was to save you from the fate you would've been subjected to had I not. So, there is no reason to refer to me as King. Instead, refer to me as savior or something akin to that, like Aeri does."

"Yes, my messiah. And since this form seems stable, I ask you to bless me with a name."

"Well, I feel like Kamish still fits, so let's just go with that."

"Thank you, my messiah."

"By the way, what kind of weapon…" Halting midsentence, I look towards the wall, my expression growing stern. "It seems as though a little fish is courageous enough to bite a big one."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Jinwoo arches his eyebrow.

"Oh, it just means that someone's attacking my wives and Jinho."

Jinwoo's eyes triple in size, "Then aren't you going to save them?"

"There's no need for me to," I begin, leisurely walking out of the basement of the American Hunter Bureau, "My wives will be more than enough. I didn't marry weaklings… that's for sure."

(Shinobu POV)

Ever since we've arrived here in this world, everything seems to happen far too quickly. We've learned so much more about Shiro because of this event, and I'm grateful for that, but it makes me uncomfortable, not being able to prepare for a defined threat like I had back when I was part of the Demon Slayer Corps. There are far too many variables amongst the monsters and especially amongst the Hunters.

I mean sure, the Demons did have special abilities that I couldn't know about until they used their Blood Demon Art, but at least they couldn't use magic. Though, I guess that that does pique my curiosity. I wonder if there would be any willing test subjects that would let me dissect them to learns a few truths about this magic.

But getting back on topic, the people here tend to be far more radical in ideologies than ever before. And those who're competent are far greater in numbers than in our world. At the same time however, it has been seen, with Hae-In and Jinah, that things like polygamy are wrong.

I might've thought the same way if I hadn't met Shiro, but now that I've been with him so long, it's impossible to.

And now, we're on the topic of Shiro which has tend to lead to a lot of metal sighs as of late. Not only did we learn that Shiro had been trapped on this weird world without us for two years, but he also managed to enrapture two other young, innocent girls.

Even if we were only away from him for a moment before seeing him again, I feel stuffy for not being always by his sides like I'd promised. But that feeling does tend to disappear moments later because of the fact of him filling the gap, even if it was unintentional.

Everything becomes complicated when it involved Shiro, leaving me irritated and wanting to scream my head off at him. Luckily, my fellow sisters manage to quell my growing anger.

"Hyung-nim says to meet up with him at the Hunter's Bureau Headquarters."

Broken from my thoughts by Jinho, the personal helper/work slave of Jinwoo and Shiro, he immediately cowers under our stares and tries to locate a ride.

"We're not that scary, are we?" Nezuko steps up to me, looking like an adorable rabbit.

"Of course not." I stroke her head, "I think he just fears the wrath of Shiro if he were to ever treat us wrong."

To this, Nezuko nods her head, along with Mitsuri and Kanao.

"Shiro does get scary sometimes… Though… I wouldn't mind if he looked at me with the same stare, he had Muzan."

Looking at Mitsuri whose face was layered red, I smack her on the backside of the head.

"Try not to fall into your delusions, we're still in a public space you know. Also… how do you even know what he looked like when he got angry at Muzan, weren't you down on the ground dying?"

Mitsuri places a hand between her rather generous assets and says, "My young, beautiful Shinobu, it was through the power of l-o-v-e."

"Uh huh."

Hearing someone coughing near us, I look and find Jinho standing there awkwardly.

"Our ride is out front."

Walking out of the car and into a rather luxurious car that was big enough to fit all of it. I think it's called a limousine.

Making small talk with one another as we traveled, we were let out of the car by its Kakushi. Hurriedly entering the car once more, the Kakushi drove off away what might've been the Hunter's Bureau Headquarters.

Though, it was nothing more than a bunch of grey slabs stacked atop one another with construction equipment surrounding it.

"This is the Headquarters?" I ask aloud. "You'd think that they'd have more than enough funds to build something a bit more appeasing to the eye. Even Ubuyashiki, who gave his funds to everyone else, had a better building than this."

"This… this isn't the Headquarters." Jinho starts to back away from the building, stricken with fear.

"Oh, well there's three people over there, why don't we ask them?" Mitsuri chirps, skipping over to the three men.

Turning to face her, a man with black hair in a buzz cut greeted her with an impeccably cruel smile.

The feeling that something was wrong began to crawl across my body.
