A-Rank Dungeon

Releasing my public restrains the moment that I enter the dungeon while paying no head to the screams from my fellow workers and Hunter Cha, I rush past the corpses of high orcs and make my way to the boss room completely uninhibited.

Though, when I enter the boss room, I can't help but stop my steps and stare at the strange fight unfolding in front of me.

Jinwoo stood in the middle of the room, surrounded by his own shadow soldiers with a ring of shadow surrounding them. And diving into this circle, there were well over 1,000 high orcs, all being decimated rather easily. Though everything comes to a halt when the leader of the room uses one of his spells to eradicate a large portion of Jinwoo's shadow army.

Jumping over to Jinwoo, I see him jump ever so slightly when I appear next to him.

"You've certainly grown Jinwoo." I praise, "But since this seems to be a rather dangerous A-Rank Dungeon, let me step in, yeh?"

"I've got it covered, all I have to do," Jinwoo points his dagger at the leader, "Is remove the head of this arrogant orc."

Waving my hand in front of my face, I say, "That's fine, just let me help deal with the small fry."

Jinwoo grumbles, "Sure, but I get to add them to my army."

"… Fiiiiine."

Snapping my fingers, the air above me shimmers and summons my army of soldiers. Though immediately after summoning them, a notification pops up.

⸢[Skill: 'Domain of the Monarch' is currently in effect] Soldiers of Light fighting above the caster's shadow will have their stats decreased by 50%. ⸥

Scoffing, I use one of the skills I had gotten when I leveled up.

Seeing this notification, both Jinwoo and I give a thumbs up to each other.

He then dives off to fight against the boss while I start to fight against the measly High Orcs.

With so many opponents in front of me, I decided to try a dangerous breathing art, wanting to test the upper limits of my stats, and see if they really changed anything about me. Breathing in, all sound seems to be drowned out besides the sound of me breathing.

"Thunder Breathing First Form Fourth Extension: God Speed Eight-Fold."

Finding that my body could withstand the strain of using God Speed consecutively, I zip around the room, cleaving through anything that stood in the path of my technique. Clicking my sword back into its sheath, five hundred high orc corpses fall to the ground.

All high orcs stood there in silence until one let out a rallying cry, soon followed by others who clamored towards me, only to be held back by the Shadow Soldiers or Soldiers of Light.

"The one downside to using breathing arts… they're single target techniques." I can't help but rub my chin while looking at the army which still numbered over the thousands. "And well, these high orcs were easily killed, so I don't think I even need to use my breathing arts."

As I go to just normally kill the high orcs, I watch Shadow Soldiers crawl out from the five hundred high orc corpses I had created. The high orcs then started to fight against one another.

Turning to one of the party members, I ask, "I'm not needed here, am I?"

After all, with the help of the store, Jinwoo could just regenerate all mana that he lost to create even more Shadow Soldiers.

As I stand there and continue watching the carnage, Cha Hae-In joined me.

"Are you alright? What happened here?! You could've gotten seriously injured for rushing in here?"

Holding my hand over my heart, I coo, "Aw, thank you for worrying about me Hunter Cha, but the situation here is being handled by both Jinwoo and I… so you don't need to worry about our safety."

I then look down at her hand to find her holding a pickaxe.

"Also, what're you going to do with that?"

Seeing me give a chuckle, Cha Hae-In jumps and asks, "Do I look weird?"

"Not in the slightest, it's honestly a bit cute."

Tilting her head slightly down and blushing, Cha Hae-In seems to grip her pickaxe harder.

Though her expression grows stiff when Woo Jinchul yells, "W-what the…? Right in front of our eyes… What in the world is happening?"

Waving at Mr. Woo, I cheerfully state, "The creatures that both Jinwoo and I have summoned are fighting against this giant high orc army."

"We came to help after sensing such an overwhelming magical wavelength… but it looks like we weren't needed. Since we're watching the two of you clear an A-Rank Dungeon by yourselves."

"Oh… Jinwoo could've cleared this dungeon by himself. I only came rushing in for the same reason you did… and because I didn't know the current strength of Jinwoo."

Just as I say this, Jinwoo slays the boss and uses his 'Shadow Extraction' on the leader.

As both Jinwoo and I desummon our soldiers, he finally notices the presence of Woo Jinchul and Cha Hae-In, causing his expression to turn worried. The monitoring division then steps in front of Jinwoo and claims that this case is sensitive and nothing of what was seen today should be revealed to the public. Along with that, we receive the sincere thanks of the Hunters B-Force.

Being guided out of the dungeon without a second say, we're then let off with Woo Jinchul telling us to not do something like what we'd just done until we rank up.

Heading to the meeting that we had set up with Jinho, we then proceed to listen to the conversation that he had with his father. Both Jinwoo and I stare at each other, our expressions slightly downcast as Jinwoo tells him the news he didn't want to hear.

Getting to rest, we finally reach the date of our re-examination.

Arriving at the scene, we find a horde of reporters and cameramen already at the scene.

"What's going on here?" Jinwoo asks.

"Mabey, they caught wind."

Though, if that were the case, then the cameras would be pointed at us.

Making our way through the crowd of reporters, getting stood up by a bodyguard, and then brought in by the chairman himself, we enter the re-examination room.

"Before we start the evaluation, we'll confirm your abilities to assign your classes. What kind of abilities can the two of you use?"

""I can do something like this.""

While Jinwoo summons a soldier from his shadow and I summon mine from the air, Gunhee asks if this is our full capabilities.

Both Jinwoo and I grumble before summoning our strongest soldiers plus a few extra. And because of the A-Rank dungeon, and Jinwoo's inability to store all the High Orc's, I filled my cap of Soldiers of Light.

"We can summon a hundred more than this." Jinwoo adds.

Few moments after, we're then handed our new and improved License, giving us an S-Ranking.

As Baek Yoonho tries to have a moment of our time, I quickly put my hands on Jinwoo's shoulders and pull him backwards as he's about to leave through the front door.

Shaking him slightly, I scream in his ear, "Jinwoo, you can't possibly be this scattered brained… There are a lot of reporters waiting right outside that door, we should go out another way."

Pouting, Jinwoo asks, "But then how do we get to our car."

I could see both Baek Yoonho and Choi Jong-In go to offer their car services, but I deadpan at Jinwoo.

"We both have skills that specialize in stealth, don't we?"

A look of realization dawns over Jinwoo and he nods his head. Leaving through the back door while evading the horde of reporters, we make our way home safely.

Heading off to the auction house for items, Jinwoo presents his 'Orb of Avarice' and decides to hold back on selling, instead asking to purchase artifacts with fire resistance. Following the auctioneer into the back where all the flashy items were being held, Jinwoo is led to the dagger section while I'm led to the katana section. And with just a simple glance at all the katanas, I can already tell that the one I have is better. Forgoing the weapons, Jinwoo purchases a ring and cloak to help him against the field's heat inside his personal dungeon.

Arriving home once more, even after evading the public eye, a wave of reporters was already at our door. Jinah, who hadn't expected for the two of us to suddenly become popularity peeked over our apartment window before quickly hiding when she's spotted.

Crawling over to me, she climbs into my lap and acts like a scared cat.

"There, there." I pat her head, "If they bother us anymore than this, just give me the word and I'll go scare them off."

"Nononononono… you can't do that Shiro…" Jinah shakes her head, "The two of you are already being trashed on the internet. Lecturing the reporters will only make it worse."

"If you say so…" I huff.

While Jinwoo stares at the two of us wondering what it is that he should be doing in this situation, our door is knocked on.

"Man, they're knocking on our door now. I'll go talk some sense into them."

Jinah doesn't even try to give him a warning and Jinwoo opens the door to find a crying Jinho instead of a reporter.

"Hyung-nim," Jinho weeps, "My father kicked me out…"

Hearing this, I bet that my face which had turned stone cold looks the same way that Jinwoo's does.

Jinho then continues his speech and asks if he can live here.

"One is enough…" I hear Jinwoo mutter.

"Shouldn't we check who it is?" Jinah asks while cutely gazing up at me.

Booping her on the nose and giggling, I answer, "Nope."

Jinho then leaves the premise and night dawns.

That night both Jinwoo and I enter Jinah's bedroom.

"The two of us really do think alike." I whisper.

"You sure you weren't just coming in here to try and sleep with my sister…" Jinwoo asks while summoning three of his soldiers.

"Oh please… it took me four years to make a move on one of them."

"What does that even mean?" Jinwoo gives me a strange look.

The two of us then give our own personal guards to Jinah to protect her from any danger. And I use the one elite high orc that Jinwoo had stuck in the ceiling and had forgotten to extract.

After that, Jinwoo adds watchmen to the neighborhood, each of which can hide anywhere. On the other hand, I placed my own watchmen in the streetlights.

The very next morning, we enter the van with Jinho.

"Were you able to sleep well?" Jinwoo asks since he had pushed Jinho away yesterday.

"Yes, Hyung-nim. Motel facilities are pretty great these days."

Oh, that's right, this guy is rich.

"Stay there until we can find an office for the guild."

You heard correct, instead of joining with Jinho's guild, Jinwoo and I just decided to make our own. Though, we were still waiting for an available space.

"By the way, Hyung-nim, what kind of business do you have at the World Tower this early?"

Instead of answering Jinho, Jinwoo opens the van door and jumps out, immediately disappearing into the dungeon.

"Did he really just do that?" I see Jinho ask with his eyes soulless.

"Yes," I slam the door shut, "Now, take me to Godoyle Hospital, I have work to do there too."

Jinho still seemed to be shaken by Jinwoo suddenly jumping out as he didn't even try to initiate a conversation with me. Having Jinho safely drop me off, I enter Heaven once more, prepared to finish it.
