He was leaving his brother again, Itachi felt his heart sunk, but he was proud of how Sasuke had grown up to be a fine Shinobi. He might have been messed up by Tobi, but at the end of it he was his own man.

'I should tell Shisui about this.'

Itachi had reunited with his friend before, and he was sure he wouldn't meet up with his little brother again. A part of him thanked Kabuto for this, even though he was reanimated to fight the Shinobi Alliance.

'Naruto... Be good to Sasuke for me.'

All said and done, he had a lot of things to thank the nine-tailed fox's Jinchuriki. He was the only person who stood by his brother, although they had different goals.

'Father and Mother will be proud.'

Itachi had been reunited with his family, even with the Uchiha clan members he slaughtered.

Things weren't great at first, but after explaining himself all the blame was shifted to Danzo and Hiruzen who wasn't dying for some reason.

Danzo was still being tortured by the Uchiha Clan members, and the same fate would befall Hiruzen Sarutobi if they manage to get a hand on his soul.

On his way to the next world, Itachi could see other souls leaving with him. He even spotted Deidera who was sending inhuman curses at him. It was a natural reaction, their relationship was never good.

'Hmm... I don't see Madara.'

Itachi had seen the Uchiha Ghost in the afterlife before, but now there was no sign of him, and he was positive he was brought back by the Edo tensei.

He had seen the previous kage, Nagato, Kakuzu, Sasori, Kinkaku and Ginkaku brothers, the ninja swordsman of the mist...

'Wait... Why isn't he here?'

He was sure of it. That guy was also brought back, but just like Madara he couldn't see him.

"Lord Itachi!"

A familiar voice called out to him, but no matter what, he couldn't see the owner. His vision started being blurry, just like the time he fought Sasuke.

In the midst of his struggle, he was able to spot a face he would never forget, before he passed out.

"Ki...same."

Inside a certain whale's belly, the Straw Hats had just lost their captain. It was his fault for angering the whale, so they didn't even bother about it.

"It's a flower!!" Sanji shouted.

"A flower!?" Zoro questioned.

The figure moved a little to the front, and the Going Merry moved a little closer to the island. The Straw hats were able to clearly see the figure.

With his cigarette in his mouth, Sanji was slightly startled, "No, it's a man."

"A man?" Usopp who was a few inches away from the cook had a little sweat coming out of him.

"He got that neptunian squid like it was nothing!"

"Did he mean to save us or was he fishing?"

The old man pulled the neptunian squid towards his house, and for a brief moment he exchanged eye contact with the cook.

The old man didn't bother much about it, and just took a seat.

"Say something, darn you!!" Sanji yelled, he was greatly bothered by the old man.

"..."

"You're looking for a fight!? We'll take you on!!" Usopp shouted at the old man's calm demeanor, "We've got a cannon!"

The old man stayed silent and looked back at the invaders, "Forget it. Somebody is going to die."

"!!"

Sanji smirked at the unusual threat, "Oh yeah? Who would that be?"

"Me."

"Listen, you!! Sanji had a vein in his head, he just couldn't stand the old man.

Zoro walked up front with a confident smirk, and waved his hand a little at the curly brows.

"Now don't get all steamed up. Who are you, Mister? And where the heck are we?"

Sanji grumbled, "He thinks he can make a fool of me?"

The old man stared at the rude Zoro for a few seconds without talking.

"Isn't it proper etiquette to introduce yourself before you start asking questions?"

"You are right. Sorry about that."

"My name is Crocus. I'm the keeper of the Twin Capes lighthouse. I'm 71, a Germini, and my blood type is AB."

Crocus had cut Zoro's words midway, and that didn't go well with the young swordsman.

"I'm going to chop him up!!"

'Aren't I dead...? Why does my neck hurt, so much?'

Itachi still struggled to open his eyes, but the pain coming from his neck was so intense, that it almost felt like someone had cut him off.

'Why does the voice in my thoughts sound younger?'

He didn't press much on the issue, as his neck felt like it was being squeezed.

To put it bluntly it felt like he was being hanged to death.

He couldn't see, but he could still feel his body parts. However, they were heavier than before.

Moving his hands, that almost felt like they weighed a ton, he touched the thing on his neck, and teared it apart.

Slam–!

Itachi loudly fell to the ground. He felt blood rushing over to his mouth, and he threw it out.

It almost felt like his sickness had stuck with his soul instead.

'There is no way that would happen, I am already dead.'

After a few seconds his eyesight finally returned. Things were clear, just like his time in the afterlife, but he didn't ponder much about that, as he spotted blood on the floor.

'I can smell!'

In the afterlife, the sense of smell was taken. People could few pains, and that's why he didn't bother about the pain in his body, that felt like a thousand spikes stabbing him.

He coughed another mouthful of blood, and he was positive that his sickness had followed him to this place.

He tried his best to move, but his body was just too heavy for him to control properly.

Furthermore, he fell again to the ground, and his head faced the unfamiliar ceiling.

It was extravagant, even a kage wouldn't have such money to waste on a ceiling only.

His hazel black eyes stared at the chandelier, not because it was made out of pure diamond, but because a rope was tied to it.

...did I just try to kill myself?
