1 Chapter 1

The roar of rain in the background drowned out his thoughts as he trudged mindlessly down the streets. Memories flashed through his mind, the good ones being quickly swamped out by the bad, and as each one got worse and worse, he picked up speed until he was full out sprinting through the crowd, their irritated shouts falling short of his ears.

Eventually, his mind cleared enough for him to be able to make out where he was, the roof of the tallest building in the city. Why did he come here? He picked his way through the clutter thrown haphazardly around until he found himself staring down at the late night traffic.

This wasn't what he wanted. Was it? Doesn't his subconscious know what he wants? He moved closer to the edge. No one would care. He could finally end his suffering. A bittersweet smile quirked his lips. He never thought his luck could turn so quickly. A month ago, his life was perfect. He had everything he could ever want. His parents spoiled him and his friends supported him. His grades soared and he was considered a prodigy, studying to get into one of the best colleges in the country.

And then, one week later, everything came crashing down. His dad died in a plane crash and his mom, sinking into despair, drowned herself in alcohol and ended up severely in debt. In order to get out of it, she married someone rich, his snobby, arrogant, asshole of a step-father.

His eyes narrowed in anger as he thought about him. He would surely be angry with him for coming home so late. If he came home. He stepped closer to the edge, half of his foot hanging in the air. And up here, with the wind blowing in his face, he felt free. Happy, like he'd never felt before. A genuine smile lit up his face, and he decided that he wanted to go out with this flutter in his chest and the lightness that graced his bones.

His foot pushed off the roof, and then Noah, on his sixteenth birthday, plummeted to his death with a smile on his face.

~~~~~
He woke up. That was the first thing that was wrong. He shouldn't be waking up. 'Ding. Subject has succesfully reincarnated.'
'What. What the fuck? Where am I?' he was awake but he couldn't feel anything. He couldn't move or talk.
'Ding. Subject is in limbo to the world of Rygaos.'
What? Rygaos? Limbo? Wait did it say reincarnated? And who was talking to him?
'I am known as a system. I can provide you with knowledge and specific benefits.'
'What's the catch?'
'You have to buy it with points. You can get points in different ways but killing humans is the most efficient.'
His mind froze, killing humans? He couldn't do that. He'd be a murderer. But... what had they ever done for him? Humans were shitty and didn't deserve to live. He'd just be doing this new world a favor.
'Alright. How do I do that?'
'Subject starts with 500 points. Subject can upgrade certain aspects of his dungeon or create monsters to defend the dungeon with.'
A screen popped up in front of him and he scanned it.
'Monsters
Expanding
Traps
Body'
It was all pretty self explanatory except
'What's body?'
'It means the body subject has outside of just being a dungeon core. Subject can upgrade and change the body and transfer his soul in it.'
That was awesome. Now that he was passed the panic stage, this was pretty epic. He tapped monsters with his imaginary hands and a huge list opened in front of him. Some were way out of his point limit but a few of the ones that weren't were
'Wolf lvl 5, 50 pt
Snake lvl 3, 25 pt
Young Dragon lvl 40, 450 pt
Orc lvl 15, 150 pt
Goblin lvl 10, 100 pt'
'What're the levels?'
'Levels are how powerful they are compared to other. The average human soldier is level 15. The average human adventurer is level 30 and the average human hero is level 70. Monsters can be upgraded further with points.'
Holy shit, the average human hero was level 70? All of these would be completely demolished by that. And he didn't even know how much points he got by killing humans.
'Ok' Noah clicked on the dragon and the wolf and his points decreased to zero.
'Subject has decided to continue. Transferring subject to cave in the demon lands.'
There was a blinding flash of light and then everything went dark.
