Synopsis

My world is divided into two sides- light and dark, good and bad, and heroes and villains. But sadly, I don't belong to either of those sides. I am a Normal. Not by fate but by choice. I don't work for a hero or a villain. I am someone who doesn't use any superpowers. I am someone who is looked down upon in my academy. The academy- a place where everyone dreams to become great. But I just want to live unnoticed. It all started when I received a letter- sent by me from the future. Vachi is a Normal, studying in the Academy of Heroes and Villains. She isn't studying how to save the world or how to destroy it. She is learning how to troubleshoot problems when the so-called heroes and villains make trouble. It sounds good, right? But she isn't really a Normal more like an undercover one. She has a superpower she intends on hiding till she dies. But will she be able to study in the academy hiding her powers and also saving the world? Who wants to expose her secret? And is the academy really saving them from the chaos that will be unleashed later?

Chapter 1Future warns Present

I can make you regret

I can leave you in hate

I am the weaver of your fate

I have power to make you upset

I am like a threat

You can never forget

You need not know the etiquette

Cause we never met

It's a never-ending debt

That cannot be offset

You are trapped in my net

A nightmare you'll never forget

I am the weaver of your fate

Somewhere in the Future:

A figure in black was running away dodging the almost intelligent beams of light. The beams followed the figure annihilating everything in their way. The person in black looked back and then sped up slowly. The person took a small handheld device from the pocket of the coat and then spoke to it for a long time. The device slowly ejected a handwritten letter and then the person sighed.

"I hope everything will change. Or at least I get more time to unravel the threads. Good Luck, Vachi."

The person then took the letter and then stopped in her way. As the beams were about the touch her, she bowed in place and put the handheld device at the center of the beams that were surrounding her from all sides.

The handheld device which should have met its end surprisingly shed layers of dust and then became lustrous. She quickly inserted the letter inside the device and then the letter disappeared.

The beams of light were absorbed by the device but the person holding the handheld device was also affected. Her hands burned red and her protective black clothing melted. She fell down and fainted not knowing what ripples this letter would cause or if she would ever wake up again. The device then changed its form and a song played from it. The song sounded ominous like a prophecy but no one heard it.

Present Day:

"Are you sure you see nothing?"

A monotonic voice whispered.

Vachi nodded and answered confidently.

"Yes."

"You are a Normal." The voice declared and then Vachi was sent out of the room.

You are a Normal.

These words are like a curse to the majority of the people in her world. Vachi herself thought so too for most of her life. In a world where everyone had superpowers and worshipped superpowers like crazy, being a normal person was indeed seen as a deadly curse.

Vachi herself acted like she was not surprised. Her father was a villain and her mother was a hero. Maybe their powers canceled each other out and made her a normal person.

That's what she wanted everyone to think. Contrary to what everyone thought, it was not the truth. It was nowhere near the truth actually.

Vachi had just turned eighteen when she knew that she had a superpower. This power wasn't the one she could show or display. She didn't have any physically characterized powers or even elemental ones. Vachi had a simple power-prediction ability.

She could just tell if something good or bad was going to happen. She didn't know how her powers would evolve later but it meant that she was gearing up to become a hero or a villain.

Her world had some major factions. Heroes, Villains, Sidekicks, Minions, and Normals.

They were all taught about their roles in the Academy of Heroes and Villains. The name itself showed who was treated as important by everyone.

But she had to change her decision because she received a letter.

Not just from someone else.

It was a letter she had written. To herself. Her from the future who was warning her.

I have no time to tell you. But please don't tell anyone about your owlish ability. Be a Normal and try to see what's wrong everywhere. I am at present running for my life. So, my life and your future life are in your hands.

I wish you victory and peace!

Vachi

If it were anyone else, they would think of this as an elaborate prank. But not Vachi. Because no one knew about her ability. She herself found out about it just an hour ago. And the letter just hit her head out of nowhere suddenly just as she was about to celebrate.

Also, she had just thought that her ability was like an owl who could predict the future, and then she predicted that something would happen the next moment. Cue the letter. The future her really knew how to use words to prove her identity.

So, she knew that it was the truth. And she followed the instructions perfectly.

Vachi became a Normal.

Sure, she would face discrimination and bullying, but that was nothing to the fear she felt when she read about her future self in the letter.

Vachi sat waiting for the appointment letter to be printed. She was still at the testing center where she had just lied to the instructor about her result.

The test was very simple. Every candidate was brought into a Mind realm where the mental powers of the instructors were watching the actions of the test candidates.

And a person with superpowers can easily detect and manipulate mental powers while a normal human cannot.

So, she lied without batting an eye. In fact, she could clearly see everything in the mind realm. Her powers were incredible that way. She could see the colors and understand the emotions from the mind realm of each instructor.

But this also made her realize that her powers were different. And being different was bad. Everywhere. Not only she thought so but everyone did the same.

Being different means being out of control. And no one wanted a total nutcase roaming the streets, right?

The academy taught many world-known superheroes like Captain Justice, Major Help, Invisipower girl, Beast Master, and villains like Doctor Chaos, Sir Beware, Luck Freezer, and Midnight Ruler.

They were legends. Maybe if she had honed herself, she could have become someone who could reach their level. But it wasn't her destiny obviously.

She never thought she would become Normal, did she?

At least being a minion or sidekick was acceptable. Because that way, she wouldn't be squeezed out. The Normals were treated like waste in the Academy and nobody cared about what happened to them.

Vachi was excited and scared too. She could fight but she didn't want to draw attention to herself. She always felt that no matter what your job was, everyone was equal.

The Normals may not have superpowers but they were the ones wiping all the traces of superheroes and villains.

Just imagine, if there wasn't Normal programming on a computer, how could a supervillain manage to launch a missile, and how could a hero manage to unarm it?

Not all jobs could be done using superpowers. Some needed brains too. She could create a team of Normals who provided their services to the heroes and villains like private law firms.

That way, she could be rich and then enjoy her leisurely life.

And if she had time, she could try to find clues about the danger mentioned in the letter.

She had planned her life waiting for the admission letter.

Vachi was the take action type, not the imagine some scenarios, get scared and cry type.

"So, Vachi, are you a hero like me?"

Yes, she remembered what she actually forgot. The letter changed her life but would also influence her friend.

Her best friend, Avni.

Now Avni was a hero, inside and outside. It was easy to determine in her case. She didn't need the test to tell her ability. She had like ninety-nine percent chance of becoming a hero. Her name was a big indicator, in case no one noticed.

Her entire family had fire elemental power. So, it wasn't a surprise that she would be selected as a hero.

"Sorry, Avni. I'm a Normal."

Avni stared at Vachi and burst out laughing.

"You are hilarious."

But her laughing sound reduced gradually and then she stopped like an exponentially decreasing graph.

It was really funny to watch.

"You-you-you-," She stuttered.

Vachi was speechless.

A speechless person and a stuttering person, they were being weird here.

"Stop imitating a tape recorder. I'm a Normal."

Avni was really cute when she was trying to figure out things. You could see the light bulb flickering in her head.

"It's okay, Vachi. You could work with me. We will be the firefighting duo. You pick up the calls and I'll go put the fires out."

Vachi burst out laughing.

She was happy. Ever since she read the letter, she felt an unprecedented emergency. Like she was running with no end in sight. But it was good to know that she had someone caring for her.

She had a friend who would console her after knowing her result. And it looked like she was pretty serious about the firefighting gig she had thought of.

Who would have thought this would happen to her? The first time she predicted, she had to change her life goals. She had to venture to a place totally unknown and had to go there unprepared. All her life, she knew she was going to be someone who wasn't a Normal.

But now, everything changed.

She had to take everything in her hands and make a series of plans so she wouldn't be in trouble later.

She also had to find some backers. Because the academy was like a dungeon where the monsters were the students who wouldn't even spit out the bones of their victims.

"Avni, we have to make some plans."

Yes, Vachi realized. Her best friend was the first one who joined her team. This team was going to change the way the academy saw Normals. She figured that if she had to spend four years being a Normal, she would do it like royalty. And that required changing the status quo.

She wished she could predict again. But she was scared. What if she predicted some kind of doom the next time? It was entirely possible.

What was worse than death itself? Well it was dying knowing that no one would miss you, knowing that your death was a favour to everyone you ever knew. This was exactly how I felt the day I died. I was the love child of the Eclipse Alpha King, in a time where the mate bond was considered sacred, a child born out of wedlock was nothing short of sacrilegious... 'It was his fault, he loved someone other than his mate...' 'It was his fault, he had carnal knowledge of a human woman.' 'It was all his fault, my only crime was being born out of his lust.' But why was that Alpha King father of mine perfectly safe, while I was hated, scorned and blamed for everything instead? Why did I have to be my father's bargaining chip, used to achieve his goals? Why could I not get a rejection like everyone else but was instead murdered by my own mate? Why was I killed before I even had a chance to live? I had a thousand questions and yet there was no one to answer and this was exactly how I died... So why then did my eyes flutter open to that day, a month before my death? Was it because of my little secret? A secret I will tell no one else but you... From the title of my tale, you must think I am an omega wolf... No, you got it wrong...
