Ch. 1 Introduction

Proxina world of sword and magic were elves, dwarfs, beastkin's, humans and many more were fighting each other for thousands of years in endless war, since then many races come extinction, many heroes ended with noble death, many villains meet sword of justice, many villagers died not aware of anything.

Once upon a time end of the Chaos Era come too and from that time peace has came to the world or that's what people hoped for, with the end of great war, many small wars started not too long after, many countries build their might in no time while fighting each other and one day some of the humans come to understanding, if this continues like this we will perish.

After about two thousand years Era of Wars ended and new era has begun. Solar Era that's the name of the new era were different species can live together, wars still continue but one thing has changed, humans accepted rest of inteligent species as the part of humanity.

If this continues as it is they might loose not because of other races, there are real monsters in this world. There are many monsters some of them are stupid while others are inteligent, some of them are strong while others are weak but with great numbers those creatures pose an equal treat.

The last reason why humanity made this decision are demons, no one knows from where they are or what they want but one thing is clear once upon a century those demons will attack with an army and once in half a millennium they will attack with many armies and once in a millennium they will attack with one squad but this squad...

Living in a world like this can be seen as a curse diseases, monsters, natural disasters, demons and of course other humans who are like a living sword who can hurt and protect. Said sword also can be named as Hero who will protect nation while destroying other nations or monsters.

Everything has its price, especially peace. In chaotic world like that next and the next factor only make everything more and more chaotic than it was just a moment ago.

The most unpredictable of them are individuals known as otherworlders. Send to this world as regulators, but what they regulate isn't this world but theirs.

Proxina is like magnet or black hole that sucks unwanted elements from otherworlds and gather everything in one place. How such a world could be stable is mystery but one thing is clear, said unwanted element or rather magic essence is what made this world how it is today.

Otherworldly people or even animals are nothing more than a play of fate. This people simply got sucked up together with magic essence and come to this world as a result.

Although said process isn't so easy. Their body is destroyed next their soul is prepared in a way that they can survive travel and in the end their body is reconstructed in this world.

Thanks to all of this, people who get send here can gain powerful abilities, in proces in which their soul is protected and prepared for coming to this world, part of said energy needed for this process will remain in their soul, giving a birth to unique skill, and the stronger soul the stronger skill.

Why does this happen? For what? Many people asked similar questions many times for nothing. Even if part of process became clear, purpose itself didn't.

Many questions will remain unclear for many years. But asking a question and seeking an answers is what makes us humans.

Kimgdom Obell is one of five great kingdoms on continent Kenmorland. It has great military strength, advanced technology and powerful economy. Most power of this nation come from four great cities, city of Bithell, city of Tchot, city of Tudor and Capital Obell all connected by great river.

Academic city of Tchot is located on the Alta river which connects all great cities of Obell Kingdom. Population reaches over 700 thousands of people. It's beautiful city wich is famous for it's museum, the biggest in country library and academy were many famous scholars and sorcerers come from.

In one of the bars on the outskirts of the city were many ruffians, adventurers and others shady people were drinking one man who clearly didn't fit there was drinking alone some beer.

''Boy, I said it clearly. If you don't have any money you don't leave this place in one piece. Do you understand!''

Clearly troubled and annoyed master warned young man to not do anything stupid. He meet many people who tried to cheat or pull a trick on him but never ever one of them leaved this place looking like before.

''Here old man, take this and pour me another one. I pay rest later."

Little troubled by unfriendly master young man paid for the beer.

"So you have a money after all. But I must say you look like a shit so don't get angry. There are many who try getting some wine for free only to make ruckus later."

Seeing young boy wearing tattered clothes in mud it's no wonder he though about him as troublemaker. He's face is mess with a black eye and swollen lip, bags under eyes and sunken cheeks. Looking at him bar master smells trouble but still decided to service him, after all in this bar isn't anyone who smell differently.

"I see, but you still decided to serve me beer?"

"Well you got a sword and swords can be sold so there is no loss with two beers."

"Only two!? Aren't you terrible."

"Am I? There are worse people. So what you come for here? Most of customers are someone who I know or someone looking for something. So what are you looking for boy?"

As if switching gears bar master started getting more and more familiar as if it was him trying to get informations not customer before him.

"And why would I tell you?"

Little annoyed by the master young man couldn't get rest he hoped for so long. But it still true that he don't know what to do now and informations are essential.

"Why? Are you serious? I am Barman and barmans are people to which other people tell their worries so they can live happily."

"You started talking nonsens old man, isn't this work for priest?"

"Priest don't give you alcohol, besides how could I be happy if priest started doing this job."

"So it's for your happiness! Nevermind get me more beer and let's get to business."

Annoyed by old man he started getting impatient. But his mind still think about what happened few days ago so even this rude master didn't make on him any impressions anymore.

"Seem like it. So what's your story boy? Och and call me Baglen."

Muscular man in his fifty with shiny head and tan skin was Baglen. He was adventurer for more than twenty years and about ten years ago he opened bar for people like him.

"My name is Nakamise Yuuki, call me Yuuki. My story you ask? It's nothing intresting you could tell your friends, I got betrayed and now I don't know what to do, so I go from bar to bar and try not to die in this freaking world."

Whenever he tries to remember his former friends faces anger takes him up, trying to subdue his anger Yuuki takes glass of alcohol and drunk it all in one gulp

*Cough cough "It's not a beer!"

"Yeah It was for me but maybe thats better.

So you say you got betrayed and can't trust anyone."

"Hey it's not that simple!"

"It was you who said it was simple story earlier. But if you can't hunt alone why not buying a slave?"

"Slave? I don't need a whore."

"You don't know what battle slave is? Most of them are criminal but if you got lucky maybe you find female mage. Hahahah."

"You got bad taste old man."

"Yeah you don't seem like a bad guy so I give you some good info....."

It was dark night were only stars and fire from torches lid surrounding. Right now few soldiers were keeping watch on supply which should get to main army on the next day.

On this late night young soldier was checking if everythingthing is alright, just a moment ago he and others heard some noises and decided to check if everything is right.

Right now they are on Hazy plains were many undeads roam, on night like that accidents are bound to happen.

Hazy plains find themselves north of margrave Bithell territory and frontier city.

Wars between Obell kingdom and Nist kingdom are taking place here for more than hundred years, so many blood overflowed this land that is now uninhabitable for humans, east from here Uomo wildrness is placed were many monsters live.

Death bodies, many years of fights, blood and grudges which come with this and powerful magic elements floating from the forest changed this land in to land of undead were miasma takes shape of mist floating around all the time and so the place was named Hazy plains.

In this nonhuman teritory lone young soldier heard the noise of chewing and puffing. Like wild beast something was there, and this thing right now was eating their supplies.

"Should I call the rest? No if I make a noise it may run away, better call others only if I don't manage to kill it in one hit from surprise attack."

After coming closer and closer sound was getting louder and louder. —"It can't be human being" though young brave soldier, if this something can produce sound like that while eating it must be some wild beast never heard of.

Being not to far from enemy, soldier draw his sword carefully trying to not make any sound and prepared himsef to attack at any moment.

"It still didn't notice me, it's my chance."

After calming down young man decided to make a step but what he saw draw all the strength from him momentary and his mind got blank like death come to him and the only thing this young man could do was...

"Kyaaaaaaaa!!!"

"Shit someone saw me!"

Few hours later inside a tent at early morning.

Young soldier sit surrounded by few soldiers with higher rank.

"So what you saw?"

"It wasn't anything from this world! Monster in a shape of woman but bigger, dirtier and and..."

"Just calm down. But honestly I still can't belive you yelled like a girl. Hahahah."

One of the soldiers tried to calm down trembling man but for nothing.

"Are you really saw this or..."

"I know what I saw. It was nightmare, body of woman, beautiful woman with massive exposed breast like melons or even bigger, two and half meters tall or maybe bigger, long hair like water but she was all dirty in mud and blood maybie even flesh was in her hair and this sound she emitted while eating like some kind of monster or even worse she just looked at me and said something in human like language and after that she just run away."

"It's first time I heard such a excuse for stealing food."

"But I'm telling truth she must cursed me I know it. Beware of undead lady I tell, beware of...

Academic city of Tchot beautiful and second most advanced after capital in Obell Kingdom, in one of the laboratories inside academy young girl Mainir was making an experiment. Inside room many flasks and other weird shaped glass cylinders were glowing in green, red, purple and yellow. Scene looks like from the movie or even worse from horror but despiate everything girl looked very happy and excited with sinister smile on her face.

"Finally, after so many failed attempts i did it! Only last touch and my grandma will be able to rest in peace, I can't fail this time or they will throw me out."

Mainir experiments always ended up explosively, professors from academy became anxious about her experiments after third explosion causes by her and after few next the ultimatum was given, she end with this or she gets expelled.

Mainir isn't noble and didn't come from wealthy family only reason why she is in this school is because of her great profinency at sorcery. Sorcerers are in great demand and because of this even rat can enrol to this shool as long as one keep up with everything and show results.

But Mairnir reason for enrolment isn't to become sorcerer her wish is in success research her grandmother leaved when she died. Unfortunately most professors don't see any merits in this and even call her a foolish girl.

"Maybe there isn't much profit but sill if I succeed many will be saved, its what I belive.

Now we only need to add more of this and confide the concentration of this and...."

Unfortunately expectation and reality are different, different all the time. Explosion that occurred destroyed most of the laboratory equipment, and alarmed others. Soon after that Mairnir was dismissed from academy.

Territory of Bithell, in frontier city were many adventurers gather to go to Uomo wildrness which is nearby. To get to frontier city one can get by ship going through the port or by one of the gates, in each gate there are few gateways, one for nobles, one for stagecoaches and carriages and one for people on foot.

There aren't many who come on foot to that far away place, there are many monsters and bandits on the roads and closest village is three days away if going on foot. If anyone come in it must be adventurer or bandit, two soldiers guarding this gate don't have much to do but there are always exceptions.

"Hey did you see the same as me?"

"Yeah isn't she a beauty?"

What the two guards saw was lone woman in her twenties. She is tall and slim with well trained body and strong muscles. She has beautiful face with sharp eyes in magenta color and her pupils are in weird shape like multi-pointed star or some flower. Her hair are sea-green colour reaching to the waist in one hand big iron club is held.

"No not that, how she come here alone? And she's huge."

Yes the woman isn't human she's an ogre over two and half meters tall, she has two red horns on her forehead and tanned colour of skin.

"It's ogre they are taller than humans some even are up to three meters tall. But she doesn't seems to be in good condition."

"Yeah she look like undead in those destroyed clothes and she seems little wild."

"That's right what with this weapon it's as tall as me."

"It's club what you were expecting, but you right now that I look it is made all from iron, given it's size it must weigh half a tone."

"Yeah it's insane."

Unfortunately beauty of this girl couldn't be seen in full because of some accident she meet while going here. Tattered white kimono and purple hakama pants all covered in mud and blood, on her waist something like rope was tied up making big loop on her back, it's named tsuna in some far away countries. She doesn't have any shoes and on both forearms wide black metalic braclets are put on. Holding a kanabo club with rouned spikes on her shoulder and leather bag in other hand she come casually to the gate like nothing happened at all.

"Shut it. She's coming."

"Can you both let me pass."

First words guards heard from women were quite obvious seeing her condition, unfortunately for her, suspicious individuals need to be checked with greater caution.

"Yes but first show us your ID" "

"Do I look like I have any to you. There shoud be a fee or something."

"In that case you need also to give us your name and purpose for visit."

"Can't be helped. Huuh. My name Hooridama and I need shower and new clothes."

"I see and main purpose?"

"You are annoying someone tell you?"

"It's my job not me."

"Probably both. But my purpose huh, I didn't though about this. Most likely I go further after some rest."

"Further? There isn't anything further."

"I mean another way. I come from this hellish forest, I come from ogre settlement behind the forest."

"Surerly you jest. There is no way you could come alone through that forest, better if you take rest after all."

"I'm not joking but thanks."

At evening Yuuki come through some black alleys until finaly coming to old building with big passage leading to underground.

Old two story building in medival style looked well maintained, glass widows despite poor quality looked very good with the rest of building.

Building was not to far away from main street so it is easy to locate, after all thats the purpose. Inside slave store is located, slave stores are legal in this country as long as someone is legally acquired slave such as dept slave or criminal slave they have also their own right.

There are always ways around such as falsification, unfair charges and so on.

In this shop you don't find any of this or that's what they say.

Yuuki taken job from a noble thanks to recommendation from Baglen. Yuuki decided to buy battle slave, he was given a request to rescue a girl in this shop before someone else buy her. Only things he know about her is name, her look, that she is sorcerer and how she was blamed for crime too big for what she has done only to get selled here. If anyone don't buy her today she will be sold to some pervert another day. Seems like some noble has grudge aganist her.

As an reward for making mysterious noble a potential enemy Yuuki can buy himself a slave thanks to reward being paid beforehand.

"Welcome cusomer."

"Yes hello to you too."

What welcomed him was beautiful woman with blue hair and maid outfit, probably to make impression on clients. Around her neck mettalic collar was placed it is slave collar and very high quality one.

"Welcome to my shop, my name's Harney. With what can I help you."

What come next was old man in top hat, monocle and fancy suit with feathers and golden ornaments.

"Yes hello my name is Yuuki. I look for slave, I heard you got something good not too long ago."

"Och you seem well informed, indeed we bought few slaves just another day."

"Is there any who knows magic it would be perfect and another one who can fight."

Yuuki don't have much time so he decided to act as fast as he could. Asking right away what you want isn't good move in negotiations but this one needs to be done fast.

"Magic and fighting huh? I see certainly we could find something good."

"Really? I though my requirements may be too much, you really are not to be underestimated."

Little sweet talk isn't going to gain him too much with this shrewd man but it's better than anything. Besides he can't show him too much so it's better than nothing.

"Och I take it as compliment. You really talk the talk despite young age but I don't know you yet, let's try be a friends at first."

"Yes, if yours products are as good as they say we may see each other in the future."

Calling them products don't get great feeling to Yuuki but he need to hold back for now and get this matter smoth.

"huhuhu I see, than you will come back for sure. Come with me I show you the best and if you don't like it we may find something else."

After coming through corridor they get to a room were slaves were kept like on display. Seems like they brought them here a while ago.

"You really well prepared."

"Of course I do this for years after all, so which one is to your tastes."

"Well I need abilities the most but the red hair one what's her name."

Her hair was in colour of deep red but it wasn't a beauty of her that caught his attention but a description matched with what Yuuki heard, the most worrying is the fact where she was located, it's almost like he know for what Yuuki has come here. Not only they placed them here in short amount of time but also what he want to buy. How did he managed to do all of this in such a short amount of time?

"This one name is Mainir. You got some eyes her magical abilities are the best from here. Of course her price is at the top too."

"Seems like I got lucky, I like rare hair coloured women. But aren't there any wariors?"

Rare colour? Worse lie ever, but unfortunately Yuuki isn't good at improvisation.

Right now Yuuki only tries to play uninterested, but slave merchant didn't seem to care at all and with great confidence lead him further.

"Well that's natural we gathered them in another room."

"I see, after seeing them let's decide, unfortunately my budget is limited."

"That's truly a shame, shall we proceed."

In the first room four women were placed, seems like the finest products, unfortunately Yuuki don't have so much money and after some small talk he to changes to the next room.

In the next one women of poorer health were placed but it would be impossible to give them a role of warrior in the party so he couldn't buy any of them.

In next one five man with athletic build werw placed but their prices also were too high.

"Do you have anything more."

"There is one I can give you with discount, but she troublemaker."

"Troublemaker?"

"Yes after seeing her you will understand."

After going to separate room, a ogre gir could be seen but

"Hey isn't she drunk?"

Yes the girl was sleeping drunk like a baby without a care in the world. Yuuki was astonished most slaves were scared or without a life in their eyes but this one looked like she was on vacations.

"Yes that's why troublemaker, she's beautiful and everything but we barely can keep her here."

"How she manged to get drunk here? Is that even possible?"

"Yes for as many years I work here there were many who tried to run away, but this one only go to kitchen stole a barrel of liquor and came back to her cell."

"Is that even possible?"

"Slave collar only prevent from harming an owner and from going to far away, also if you order them something they must to obey or collar will harm them but this kind of situation happened for the first time."

"I see..."

"But she beauty and has rare hair colour."

"Aren't you terrible one, you led me here from the start."

Ogre girl with sea-green hair, well trained body and low price seems like Yuuki was lead here from the start knowing he couldn't buy anything else or he specially didn't show him anything he could buy.

"So this one and the red one yes? Let's go to another room to talk about contract."

Slave merchant didn't let on any comprise, he saw through Yuuki at start and even use him to dispose of unwanted slave. Yuuki can only obey if he want to complete quest.

And than as if woken by terrible nightmare loud snoring of girl stopped immediately, and with loud noise ogre shouted to merchant.

"Hey this guy can't buy me. I can't rob somebody without money!"

Still drunk and with more confidence in herself than any slave in the world girl talked like she planned this from the start. Is she not accepting the fact she's an slave? Is she simple fool? Yuuki don't know what to think about her, it's the first time something like that happen.

"You can't rob your master anyway stop talking nonsense."

"Old man you are too confident in that toy around my neck, there isn't such a power in this world to stop me. Grahahaha. And give my stuff back I looked for it and couldn't find anywhere."-

"Better be quiet " *bzzz

-"Aghaaaagahaghaa!"

Angry slave dealer by the attitude of woman activated seal on her collar and pain goes through all her body. Slave collars attacks nerves of person so it is impossible to defend unless your nerves don't send any signal to brain but this is impossible for living person.

"You see their are quite effective."

"huh-huuh S-something like that isn't going to stoo- *bzzz* -agahahaaagggaa"

After seeing that she still have some energy left, merchant decided to deal finishing blow before something bad happens.

"Well let's go before she wakes up."

"Oj oj aren't she dangerous why she even here."

"Oh that. It is actually quite simple story, she got drunk and make ruckus in frontier city, after guards come she beat them all and fall asleep right after. But that's doesn't matter for you right? You need her and I need to get rid of her before something bad happens."

"You better give me that discount."

— (Damn you! Why did I take this job? Am I really so desperate? Now that I think about it they all must plot this, bartender, noble and merchant. What they needed was someone who don't have connection to anyone so they can sold this girl without evidence. I don't know how much this merchant knows but he know before that I will come here and for what reason, and if this wasn't everything he even forced me to buy this ogre. I hope anything bad doesn't happen in the future.) — though Yuuki.
