A Poisoned Knot

A series of a boy drunk in other people's stories. Living in a village where entertainment is basically nowhere, a little boy living in the village met a group of adventurers that tells him stories that they experienced while travelling and also stories that they have heard along the way. The story led from one to another and, the little boy decided and sneaked out of the village to discover and learn about more stories currently left unheard by him in this world. *** Hello, Poisonknot here. It may very weird and demanding to say this but, I have started a novel back then called Every Dew Drop: A Lone Man's drink and it grew to view around a thousand. This was a lot for me and I was excited to have people to see my work however, I decided to hide it and stopped updating and releasing chapters. At the time I got a massive boost that people are enjoying what I make but I also doubted myself and sometimes, I am just pessimistic on what I am doing. I saw a thousand views but I cannot see a single "Hi" or even just a critique in my works. This caused my motivation and confidence to drop and I don't blame the people for it. It's just that I am so unsure on "what to do" or "am I doing, writing it ok?" The bottomline is, although it is very demanding, please do leave a comment, a reply or a sign that I may have mistyped incorrectly or I did a good job writing this part etc. I will really appreciate anything and even writing this took a huge amount of my courage. As long as you liked stories and you stay happy, I'll see you soon!

It's quite an interesting book. I've definitely seen stories with similar premise of "emotionless person wanting to understand love" but this still feels fresh. I liked the protagonist and her "little fairy" from the get-go and that is probably the best of the story so far. I'm really curious to see how things go from here. Overall, this is a book I'm willing to follow as it goes on. Keep it up, author!

[This is more or less an impression review as there are only three chapters up so far. I'd probably write another review when we have a whole bunch more] It's a good start. It kept me engaged for the whole part. From just these chapters, I don't know much about where the story is going but it has left enough of an impression on me to keep reading it. I would recommend people who like fantasies, especially light fantasies, to try this one out. Keep the updates coming, Author!

As of this review, 8 chapters have been posted, however, as this is a glance review, I will only be reviewing based on the first five chapters. Writing quality—not bad. Under Webnovel standards, this falls in the mid-range. The author seems to have a large vocabulary but does not quite have a good grasp over them. The grammar is not up to par with my standards, but it is readable. One thing I applaud the author for is the proper use of punctuation. Story—since I only read up until chapter 5, nothing much could be said. For a webnovel, I felt that it was too draggy and disjointed. I have no idea how this story feels both rushed and draggy at the same time. From the first chapter, we are immediately introduced to the main character in, what I think of as, a random setting. No explanations were given as to why the MC was where she was or why she was rushing to go somewhere. Even less explanation was given on why the people in her surroundings felt some sort of fear about her. Like, what did she do to them personally? Who-dun-had-her-dun-dirty? What? Is? Happening? In my honest opinion, the story would’ve been much more enjoyable had the author started the story at the point where the Fairy Queen first became Isabella instead of jumping straight to a time period where she had been inhabiting Isabella’s body for some time already. While cliché, the gruelling backstory arc would at least provide some background information and allow readers to understand and follow the Fairy Queen’s development, because at this point—five chapters in—I feel no affection for this protagonist (or any other characters) nor do I feel like remembering her name. What was her name again? Isabella T. D-something? I forgot. Some editing is necessary, but as far as premise goes, it’s rather refreshing compared to other ‘I-transmigrated-into-so-and-so’ stories. Try not to bomb the potential this story has. All in all, good work, author. Keep writing if you can help it; the more you write the more you refine your writing, so don’t be discouraged by my low ratings. Do look up some writing tips, though.

giving you 5 stars cause you deserve it! It may not be perfect but it has elements and taste. Characters are alive and the world has colors. Its an unpolished gem that just needs a few retouch and bwala! Auto added! Also, this is a review swap. dont forget to add my novel too! xD Blood Type: Dragon (I might edit this post in the future as I am not finished reading em all. Cheers!)
