A Poem Per Dance

Thinking was my detriment.

My eternal sentiment.

Roundabout thoughts.

Leaving me distraught.

Love me. Love me not.

Give it all you got.

I've been laying awake.

For my pasts' sake.

I've been in the abyss.

Of demonic kisses.

Betrayed my Lord.

When I couldn't afford.

To. Trapped in a dream.

Recording every scream.

Silence.

Violence.

Slit wrists bleeding.

hopeless seeming.

I was captured by the world.

I was misunderstood, this girl.

Cut, slice , gouge, etch.

memory far-fetched.

I forgot who I was.

Ripped off my cross.

Whispered my fears to the night.

My dark comfort felt right.

Slapped, stabbed, raped.

Heart held together with tape.

Molested, detested.

Dragged and tested.

I'm still alive.

I cried.

I am not dead.

I said.

I feel the scars raised up.

On my skin, I didn't give up.

I'm here. I declare.

I admit I was scared.

But I saw the light.

That blinding bright white.

shining through the cracks.

Chasing the maniac.

Burning to sing.

Let the intimacy ring.

Christ my sacrifice.

Died for mine.

My sins.

We will win.

Saviour, king of cosmos.

With me everywhere I go.

I see how far I've come.

Since I made Him the only one.

He pulled me from the pit.

Protesting demons loathing it.

Moaning, "return".

I won't. I don't want to burn.

For eternity.
