I was at the verge of screaming. He came towards me slowly like a tiger who was approaching its pray. I went back step by step untill my back hit the wall. I closed my eyes expecting my tragic death. But something unexpected happened.
One of my roommates was an Asian girl. Her father was a hindu priest who performed prayer services called 'pooja.' Because of his work, she also had the knowledge of handling the world we can't see.
The world of ghosts, devils and monsters.
She woke up and looked at me. She cleared her throat. I opened my eyes and saw she was looking at me with the expression of 'What happened?' I pointed at the direction where Hayden was standing and mouthed the word, 'Ghost.'
Nithya quickly sat up and took out some red powder from her drawer and threw them at Hayden's direction while shouting, "Demon, go back to the world you belong to and never return."
She started singing a hindi god's song or something in a low voice.Hayden screamed when the red powder covered his body. I saw his body was burning untill he completely dissapeared. I could no longer see him anymore. Nithya came to me and embraced me tightly between her arms.
I started crying continuously leaning my face on Nithya's shoulder. She calmly and gently patted my back.
"Tell me everything after you finished crying." I heard her whispering. But my attention was stolen by the boy who stood a few steps away from us. He was Hayden Issac. The Hayden I loved. Not the one I feared. When our eyes met, I saw him smile and mouthed a 'Thank you!' before fading away. I instantly stopped my sob. My heart felt extremely sore. Nevertheless, I should be happy about him. After six whole years, he finally got his freedom. If there's another lifetime, let's definitely meet, Hayden Issac.
