A Lone Shadow

A young man had been sleeping soundly, lost in a dream world of his own making. Suddenly, a loud noise jolted him awake.

It was the alarm clock on his left side, beeping insistently. He groaned, feeling a bit annoyed at having his sleep interrupted so abruptly.

But he knew he had to get up and prepare for school. He sat up in bed, rubbed his eyes, and stretched his arms.

He glanced at the clock on his bedside table and saw that it was already past his usual waking time.

He sighed and got out of bed, feeling a bit groggy and disoriented.

As he stumbled to the bathroom to wash his face, he tried to shake off the drowsiness that still clung to him.

He splashed cold water on his face and looked at himself in the mirror, trying to wake himself up.

After a quick shower and getting dressed, he made his way to the kitchen to make his own breakfast.

He quickly made a sandwich and a cup of coffee, and then checked his bag to make sure he had all his things is ready.

Feeling a bit more awake now, he grabbed his bag and headed out the door but as the young man stepped out of his small and crusty apartment on the 2nd floor, he felt a sudden tremor under his feet.

At first, he thought it was just his imagination, but then the tremor grew stronger and he realized that it was an earthquake.

He quickly looked around to see if anyone else had felt the tremor.

He saw his neighbors on the street, looking up at the buildings with worried expressions.

Some were rushing out of their homes and apartments, while others were standing still, unsure of what to do.

The young man felt a bit anxious but tried to remain calm.

He knew that earthquakes could be dangerous and cause a lot of damage, but he also knew that panicking would only make things worse.

He checked his phone to see if there was any news or updates on the earthquake, but there was nothing yet. He sighed and muttered under his breath, "Fuck, why does it have to be today?"

Despite his frustration, he knew he had to focus on staying safe. He quickly assessed his surroundings and he decided it would be best to stay put and wait for the tremors to subside.

After the earthquake had subsided, the young man took a moment to check himself over and make sure he was unharmed. He checked his body for any signs of injury or pain, but thankfully he seemed to be fine.

As he looked around, he saw some of his neighbors looking shocked and shaken.

He walked over to them to see if they were okay and to offer any assistance they might need.

He said"Hey, are you guys okay?"

The Neighbor replied: "Yeah, we're fine. That was just really scary.I can't believe how strong that earthquake was."

He then said "I know, it felt like the whole building was going to collapse. Is there anything I can do to help you guys?"

"No, we're good. But thanks for asking." the neighbor replied.

and he said "Of course, I'm just glad everyone is safe. Let me know if you need anything."

"Will do. Thanks again".

The young man nods and walks away, relieved that his neighbors are okay but still feeling a bit shaken from the earthquake and he breathed a sigh of relief, realizing that the earthquake hadn't caused any significant harm.

He glanced at his phone again and saw that there were a lot of reports and updates about the earthquake online.

He quickly scrolled through the news and social media feeds, trying to get a sense of what had happened.

He saw photos and videos of the earthquake's impact in other areas, and felt grateful that his neighborhood had been spared any major damage.

He knew that earthquakes could be unpredictable and destructive, and that they could strike at any time. He resolved to stay alert and prepared in case of any future disasters.

He felt a sense of gratitude and relief as he made his way through the streets with his bike.

The world around him looked the same as it had before the earthquake, but he knew that things could have been very different.

He felt a renewed appreciation for the safety and security of his community, and he knew that he would never take it for granted again.

After the young man had arrived at Northern National University, he made his way towards the gate.

As he approached, he was suddenly confronted by a stranger who asked him, "Well well, who's this new guy?".

"You're not someone who needs to know my name," he replied coldly.the stranger get mad at him and he said '' YOU FUCKER I WILL FINISH YOU--

Just then, a female individual appeared and intervened, asking what was going on. The young man spoke up first and said, "Well ma'am, this guy wants to punch me."

The stranger also want to say something,'' I, I-

but the woman cut him off and asked the young man politely, "Can I know your name?"

Feeling more at ease with the woman's calm and polite demeanor, the young man introduced himself.

"Oh, I forgot to say. My name is Lucian."
