chapter 34 : vacation with the archduchess

after the auction, stella went to take her 375 gold, is a shame that she can't get that book, but at the very least, the person who buy the book, is someone that she know very well.

'maybe i should visit them, but i wonder why she buy that book, even though i already bid it for 11 gold,' though stella who quite confuse by her mother-in-law action, and even if she can raise the bid, she can also raise it even higher.

stella first was tempted to bid more gold since she had a lot of saving, but she shook her head since if she do that, it will caught a lot of attention from the other, if she and the archduchess competing to buy some unknown book.

"oh my what a pleasent suprise, i never though that you will come to visit stella," say the archduchess who at that time sit while face to face with her daughter-in-law, with putting up a smile.

"hello, archduchess," say stella as she greet her mother in law, with a force smile.

"so, what bring you here stella, do you want to meet my daughter, ?" ask the archduchess with a smile, though she already knew the reason why stella come here, she just want to mess with the little girl.

"well, i.." say stella who don't know what to next since the reason why she here is to borroe the unknown book that was bought by the archduchess, but before she can finish her sntence she was interupped by the archduchess word.

"you want to borrow that book, right. ?" ask the archduchess to stella who just nod while the archduke just laugh at stella acting, it look like stella still not confortable with her.

"you can have it though, but i want you to do me a favor," say archduchess to stella.

"what kind of favor is it, ?" ask stella who doesn't seem to like it.

"i want you accompany me, to our private land," say archduchess to stella.

"private land, ?" say stella who was confuse as she look at the arcduchess with a confuse look as she look at the archduchess.

"Yes, as you know that our kingdom has suffer a great losses after what happen in the previous war, not to mention the noble house such as us who also participate by providing a lot of resources as well," explain the archduchess.

"Why don't you ask the other people, i don't think i'm strong enough to protect you, ?" Ask stella as she try to reasoning with the archduchess since no matter how much she trust stella, she couldn't help to think that it was to risky for them to go alone.

"You strong enough, furthurmore i don't want the royal family to be suspicious of what we're gonna do, the spy itself is still lurking, so i couldn't ask anyone other than you," say the archduchess as stella nod her head about the reason of the archduchess, while she think that is still risky to go alone, at the very least if something happen she going to use her teleportation magic to escape.

"Alright, so when are going, ?" Ask stella to the smiling archduchess.

"Tomorrow, meet me at the front gate of the kingdom in the morning, don't be late alright, since i don't want a lazy daughter-in-law," say the archduchess as she hand over the book to stella.

After that stella left the vincent mansion and went home since it was a very long day to her.

"Welcome back, stella," say sophia who at that time was waiting for her in the front of the mansion while she was helding a sleeping eve on her arm.

"Miss sophia, what are you doing here, ?" Ask stella who was kind of suprise on her tone, as sophia slowly hand over the baby to the brown fox girl so she won't awake.

"Well, i heard from instructur ergi that you come back from your mission, so i was wondering if we could hangout together," say the girl as she touch together her index finger while looking down, feeling embarrassed of what she was going to say, though she still waiting for stella answer.

"Sure," say stella as she make a duplicate of herself and ask her to look after eve while she was going to hangout with her friend, the duplicate only nod as she enter the mansion without saying anything.

"So, shat are we gonna do, ?" Ask stella as sophia tap her chin, thinking about what she gonna do with stella as suddenly her face brighten up as she hold stella hand and make their way toward the garden.

The next day, stella was in front of the gate in the early morning waiting for the archduchess to come and since she want to make a good impression out of her-in-law.

Though she was a morning person, she could help but yawn a little as she lean on the wall while rubbing one of her eye as she waiting for the person to come.

At that time stella spot a person wearing a black rob that cover it's entire body with a hood that also covering it's face, while walking toward her.

"You early, let's go," say the voice who sound feminine but the most part is that stella knew who voice is this.

At that time stella widen her eye as she look at the person who slowly put her index finger in front of her lips, "don't make a scene, and follow me wuietly," say the person who then stella walk with her to the forest where she heard a horse sound.

At the moment, stella look around the area as she spot a fancy carriage who pack a few thing for them such as tend and food.

"We're going to leave the carriage behind, stella help me put what we need in the horse," say the archduchess as stella quickly grab a few thing they will need such as tend and food, though stella can eat animal she found in the forest but she doesn't know about what the archduchess, so she grab a few food and put in in the bag.

After that, to get rid of the people supicious stella use her earth magic to cover the carriage since they will need it when they got home.

"Alright, hold tight," say the archduchess as she and stella wento deep toward the forest where they going to find another mine.
