Felix - safe and sound

AS SOON AS school's over, I drive to the group house through the sewer into the entry. I want to go through a new way but it's just set up weird. Like our school but I know why because it's an old church. Maybe the group home was a church once. When I get there, I see Busk putting things into a backpack.

Hours pass after I wish them luck, I go home safe and sound. Maria's home, I mean.

"Hey," I hug her. "I honestly hope that you get us back."

"Aww," she says leaning on her truck drinking a beer she hands me the beer.

I shake my head as I say to myself wanting to say this to Maria and Gramma, I just wish life was the same. But I know it's not and it will never be.
