Ri Shi swapped the curtain and opened the window, only to look down on the chaos happening down below on the streets.

People were running like headless chickens, most were wailing, some hugging their loved ones while rest scrambled to escape in their vehicles, with the remaining ones looking towards the west, their face reflecting somber expressions and skin in a bronze hue.

*Sigh*

He sighed as he closed the game followed by his computer.

He turned on the T.V, to the news channel, only to see..

While he was watching, someone outside screamed their lungs out.

"They are here!"

He looked out to the west, only the find complete darkness. The sun was hidden behind a wall of black substance, which was closing in with an astonishing speed. It looked like a dark tsunami had arrived, ready to turn back the 2060s to the primordial eras by swallowing them all the same.

His calm heart, which usually never wavered except while playing games, starting beating wildly. His pupils constricted as his back drenched in cold sweat, watching the tide of the end rapidly closing in, he felt the thrill of the incoming death.

"Hehe... Hehehe.. Hahahahaha.. yahahahahaha."

He shuddered as he looked at the dark tide gulped down tall skyscrapers, homes and even a helicopter, his mouth stretching into a wide grin.

'Wonderful, oh how wonderful, is this what fear of death feels? Ahhh, this is much more exciting than my pc games. I never knew this, this unrecognisable feeling, it's too good.'

As he watched the pandemonium below, he saw several office working youths rush towards the tide. Finding someone going against the flow raised his curiousity, making him unable to avert his gaze from them.

"What.. are they really going to put a futile resistance? Wait that's.. pfffff hahahaha."

Many people were desperately trying to escape, but some wiser ones realised that their doom is inevitable so they simply stopped running. Watching them, some bold and courageous ones also slowed down, facing their fate coming from the west. Families hugged each other in a warm embrace, lovers held their hands, among them, many confessed to their partners. They got rewarded a kiss or a slap, depending on whether it was a love confession or a cheating one.

Few people broke down on the spot and started laughing madly, almost nobody tried to resist their fate, except a family which jumped to their death, holding the hands, never to be seperated even in the netherworld.

A small 3 year old girl was holding her parents hands, watching the incoming tide "Mommy, when will we go home?"

The crying mother looked at her daughter, and wiped her tears. Her daughter wasn't crying, how could she as a mother break down? She lifted her child in her arms as her husband hugged them both from behind. The woman calmed down in her husband's embrace, kissed her daughter and replied "Soon my sweetie, soon. Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?"

"No mommy. Hmm? Mommy, Daddy look! What are those uncles doing!"

The little girl turned around and saw a bizzare scene, as she pointed behind them.

The family turned around, as did the other people nearby. The saw multiple office workers, who soon came in front of them.

The multiple young men formed a horizontal line, their faces as solemn as a monkey before it snatches your bananas. They looked at each other, nodded and unzipped.

One man took the lead, and sprayed a small fountain on the road, following him, others also unzipped and started spraying the forbidden golden shower, contributing to the pollution on earth.

"Mom! Dad! Look, a big earthworm!"

At first, people were shocked by such a shameless show as they blocked the eyes of their children or lovers, but soon they started commenting, taunting and laughing which eased the gloomy atmosphere. The man taunted for neddle like rod was sobbing, while the dragon among men finished the forbidden golden shower and accepted the quickie invitation with his nose piercing the heavens. Countless men as well as his brothers in dragon gave him a glaring gaze, which was deflected by his heaven piercing nose and closed eyes.

"What is human nature? People try all their lives to escape from their fate, death. But when it comes, that's when their real state lf mind towards death is revealed. Like now, individually they resisted to the last moment, together they smiled, laughed, cursed, rizzed and jizzed."

Ri Shi sighed as he once again looked at the black tide.

The nanobot storm completely covered his window and blocked the outside view, the only thing illuminating was the solar powered light which enabled him to make out the surface of the dense mass nanobots. They were squirming around like tiny ant, maybe even more detailed, it was simply impossible to make out the details with his naked eyes.

"Why....why stopped? C'mon, I am standing right here. Let's get it over with."

"Huff huff, don't scare me, be quick!"

"Wait, don't tell me I am the special one, messiah, chosen one or some other joke."

As if responding to his taunt, the nano surface blocking the window caved into his room as a face slowly appeared in his view as Ri Shi stumbled back on the floor.

'It' looked at him, it's eyes reflecting the surprised gaze of Ri Shi, as it took in all the reaction patiently. Soon, Ri Shi stared right back at him.

Both maintained a stable eye contact, as a stifling silence filled the room. There was no noise outside, indicating the end of a once lively and vast civilization. The only proof remaining was him, Ri Shi himself, who simply stared at 'himself'.

His heart was pumping wildly, as he tried to make heads or tails of the situation and upon failing, simply maintained the eye contact.

After 5 minutes, the other 'him' opened his 'mouth' and spoke

"Surpise Muthafuka."

In a completely dark space, a being which was certainly not a native was floating.

Drifting without flow.

Time flew by, if there was any. The being remained same, unmoving, unresponsive, maybe in coma? Who knows?

A white beam of light appeared, tearing apart the void, merging with the being and soon disappeared inside.

His finger twitched as his eyeballs moved inside the eyelids, sheltering him from the blank void, but even if he opened them wouldn't make a difference.

He felt his head being pulled, causing a tinge of pain and anxiety. It continued for a few seconds when a monotonic female voice echoed.
