Chapter 21: The Investigation Continues

Emma's heart was still racing as she walked out of her dorm room. She knew that she had to be careful, but she was determined to uncover the truth.

As she walked across campus, Emma noticed a strange car following her. It was a black sedan with tinted windows.

Emma's heart skipped a beat as she quickened her pace. She didn't know what to do, but she knew she had to get away from the car.

She quickly ducked into a nearby building, hoping to lose the car in the crowd. As she looked back, she saw the car drive by, slowing down as it passed the building.

Emma breathed a sigh of relief as she realized she had lost the car. But she knew she couldn't stay hidden forever.

She pulled out her phone and dialed a number. "Hey, Alex," she said, trying to sound calm. "I need your help."

Alex's voice was calm and reassuring on the other end of the line. "What's going on, Emma?" she asked.

Emma took a deep breath, trying to explain the situation. "I think I'm being followed," she said. "I saw a strange car outside my dorm room, and I think it's been following me all day."

Alex's voice was firm and reassuring. "Don't worry, Emma," she said. "I'll come and get you. We'll figure out what's going on together."

Emma felt a wave of relief wash over her as she waited for Alex to arrive. She knew she wasn't alone, and that Alex would do everything she could to help her.

As she waited, Emma couldn't help but think about the notebook she had found. Who had sent it to her? And what did they want her to know?

She pulled out the notebook and began to flip through the pages. The messages were cryptic, but Emma was determined to decipher them.
