Labyrinth

(A/N I forgot to mention that I will be writing based on both the novel and the anime)

*Brandon POV*

This really is surprising I mean reading it from my phone and seeing it in person is really contrasting if I didn't know any better i would've thoughts this is a museum instead of a dungeon with it's sunny atmosphere 

Receptionist chatting and laughing with passing adventures while checking their status plates if I remember correctly that is done so they could keep track of the number of death that occur in the dungeon

I was wearing nothing but a white coat over my school uniform black gloves on both hands with 2 katanas around my waist with my hair tied up in a messy bun and strands hanging on my forward 

I suddenly saw my classmates moving forward so I along with everyone followed captain meld inside once inside just as described in the novel the cheerful atmosphere completely disappeared replaced by a gloomy one instead

In front of us was a passage that was a little over five meters wide.

Though there was no obvious light source, the entire labyrinth was dimly lit, enough

that one could vaguely make out their surroundings without the help of a torch or magical item.

In truth, the passages were all lit by a special mineral called green glowstone that was buried in the walls.

The entire Great Orcus Labyrinth was actually an excavated vein of green glowstone ore.

The party all filed into ranks and slowly advanced through the labyrinth.

After a few

uneventful minutes, the passage we were walking down opened up into a wide plaza.

Towering seven or eight meters above us was a dome-shaped ceiling.

The students were all looking around curiously, when suddenly a number of gray creatures

resembling furballs burst out from cracks in the wall.

"Alright, Kouki, your team's up front! Everyone else fall back! I'll have you switch in

after some time, so stay sharp! These monsters are called Ratmen! They're quick on their feet, but not all that strong.

Keep your cool as you fight!"

As Captain Meld had said, the Ratmen were quite fast, and rushed at us with alarming agility.

Pairs of dark red eyes gleamed with a ghastly light from within the balls of fur. 

Tensing up my tigh muscle my calf sunk a little into the ground I bent my upper body then grabbed the hilt of my sword I shoot forward using ~Perfecf strike~

Decapitating most of the ratman in one strike

"I guess using skills on the first floor is a bit over kill" I said to myself while ignoring the students eyes shining with awe while feeling a glare directed at me which I could guess was probably Kouki mad at me for taking the spotlight

Feeling a presence near me I look to my right to see shizuku 

"My I guess I really was overthinking huh Mr OP protagonist" 

Laughing dryly at shizuku's attempt at a joke I look at hajime 

"Yeah I guess so" I reached forward to hold her hand feeling her body tense up I rub her palm with my thumb while smiling brightly in her direction

I could see her going beet red in a instant 

I decided to spent the rest of the time with Shizuku as nothing eventful will happen and we won't be seeing each other for a few months after today

Me and shizuku moved silently to the back of the group but out of the corner of my eye I saw Kouki staring at me hatefully 

Dismissing him I start flirting with Shizuku occasionally planting kisses on her forehead or hugging her from behind with my chin rested on top of her head as we walked 

Suddenly placing a necklace around her neck while still hugging her from behind 

She turns looking at me with wide eyes

"Do you like it" 

"I love it Brandon" she exclaimed as she pulled me into a tight hug

I responded in kind by squeezing her tighter 

"Always remember to keep it safe as long as you have this necklace around you I'd always be able to find you and as long as the gem in the middle doesn't break it means I'm perfectly safe I had a craftsman in the kingdom craft it for me" I bullshited just to give her a sense of security as I'm feeling bad for going to have to leave her to grief for me thinking I'm dead 

When I fall into the abyss along with Hajime 

We were suddenly brought out of our own little world when we heard Meld screaming at daisuke for acting on his own

[So this is where it starts] I grabbed shizuku and held her as a magic circle similar to the one that transported us to this world lit up under our feet 

Light filled the room, and before long white was the only thing anyone could see.

Everyone was assailed by a momentary sensation of weightlessness.

Me along with the others could feel the atmosphere shift. A moment later, everyone all fell to

the ground with a thud.

Other than me as I was expecting this and shizuku who was in my arm

"hurry up!!Run upstairs!" Melds booming voice could be heard hroughout the dungeon 

However, labyrinth's traps were not so easy to escape.

We would not be allowed to retreat so easily.

New magic circles suddenly appeared on either side of the bridge, accompanied by a swirling torrent of dark red mana.

The magic circle on the passage-side of the bridge was ten meters wide.

The ones on the stairs-side were only one meter each, but there were many.

The dark red magic circles resembled pools of blood, and gave off an ominous feel.

They pulsed once, and waves of monsters began pouring forth.

I decided on helping out with the traum soldiers and left the rest to Hajime and our 'hero' Kouki 

Sticking close to shizuku I helped her deal with the monsters by coating my body along with my sword in aura 

Using Evasion and All-seeing strike in sync which was an AOE skill thats releases aura swords to strike every enemy In sight and evasion being a skill similar to ultra-instinct that allows my body to subconsciously doge any threats directed at me

Dealing a massive blow to the traum soldiers I over hear Kaori and captain meld arguing about Hajime holding the behemoth back on his own

[This is my cue I guess] suddenly grabbing shizuku I pulled her into a kiss resting my left hand on her waist with my right at the back of her head it quickly got steamy as we ended up exchanging saliva

ending the kiss I looked her in her eyes

"I love you" was all I said as I turned around to help Hajime deal with the behemoth 

"i love you too" was all I heard smirking to myself I decided to help Hajime deal with the behemoth
