-Mina: "daniel, you should get back to school, you skipped so many classes"

-Daniel: "I'm good, anya's keeping us updated and professor Matthew knows all about it so this won't cause me no trouble"

-Mina: "but you need to attend classes Danny! You said you'll marry me once you are in college so I won't let you fail"

-Daniel: "we'll go together then"

-Mina: "no.. I'm not ready yet.. everyone in the school must've learned about what happened, I can't.."

-Daniel: "it's okay take your time...

I just want you to keep in mind that we're all by your side, you're never alone."

In that evening kai went to see Daniel,

-Daniel: "is there anything I need to know? What happened with the case?"

-kai: "they're closing it because of lack of evidences"

-Daniel: "what're you saying?! Can you hear yourself kai!!?"

-kai: "I can.. but that's what's happening dan! They didn't find the car mina and I described anywhere.. and these guys left nothing behind that may lead to them"

Daniel hit the table with his both hands,

He looked so angry but also sad and helpless

-Daniel: "damn it.. DAMN IT ALL!"

seeing Daniel in that state, kai started thinking to himself

(-Kai: "It can't be jay.. he has an alibi

he was in some club doing some stupid shit all night long.. he even has witnesses, his friends and the club owner.. the surveillance cameras recordings of that night, his phone was located there as well.. I risked getting myself involved with angelo by giving Jay's name to the police and make them suspect him.. but it was all in vain..

-Gerald: "so Daniel you're going back to school?"

-Daniel: "I wanted mina to come too, but looks like she's still need time"

-Gerald: "I appreciate your efforts and everything you did for my daughter son,"

-Daniel: "this is the least I could do."

On his way to school, Daniel received a text from mina

[wifey: I love you daniel.. thank you for everything, I wish I could meet your mom and thank her for giving birth to a wonderful man like you.. you're all i needed in this life and all I'll need in the next >~<

I'm sorry for hurting you and talking shit behind your back. Growing body hair, being super tall and bulky doesn't make you a man. The way you treat people around you and how good your heart is do.. and you have that... Thank you for giving me a second chance and standing up by my side in my ups and downs.

Daniel read the message while blushing and smiling

-Daniel: "ugh.. who cares about school I wanna be with her, i miss her already"

He said then headed back home

Meanwhile, kai and anya were in school when they received a text from mina as well

-Anya: "hm? It's mina"

-kai: "she texted me too.."

[Mina: anya.. the sister I never had, thank you for accepting me as your friend, thank you for getting me covered whenever I needed your help, thank you for being the amazing girl you are.. let's meet again soon and do each other's makeup]

[Dandan got a gf: hi big boy, thank you for protecting daniel from everything even when it was me.. thank you for keeping an eye on him all the time, thank you for motivating and loving him when everyone turned their backs on him because of his appearance, they were just jealous of him haha.. I want you to keep protecting him just like that~]

-Anya: "this is cute but.. I feel like something's wrong"

-kai: ".. maybe she is happy today and wanted to express her feelings"

-Anya: "yea im glad she moved on and is appreciating the good things in her life"

-kai: "yea.. wasn't daniel coming?"

like everyone else she loves, her dad too received a text from her

[My baby: I love you dad, thank you for not giving up on life when you felt like it just for me.. I will meet my mom one day and tell her about all the sacrifices you did for me:)]

-Gerald: "didn't she say she wanted to take a nap? I think she wants to talk, I'll take her something to drink and go see her"

Daniel was so happy that mina was finally getting better and recovering so he headed to a gifts shop to get her something, then went back to her house

(-Daniel: "I hope she will like this teddy bear.. her room is full of them so I think she will, and her garden is full of flowers so this bouquet of flowers wasn't a bad idea too.")

Once he showed up in front of her house he saw the ambulance and the police. Confusingly and scared Daniel entered the big gate of the house..

He was trying to understand what happened but couldn't figured it out himself so he approached mina's father to ask him when he saw him standing there in the middle of the yard

-Daniel: "what's happening? sir, what's happening?? Is mina okay? Is she hurt?"

-Gerald: "mina.. is gone."

-Daniel: "what do you mean"

He looked around the place

"where did she go?"

Daniel had a lot of questions but the answer to them was one.. he didn't care to ask more when he saw the paramedics carrying her dead body outside

-daniel: "no.. NO NO NO! this can't be true.. she didn't m!!"

He approached the ambulance

"where are you all taking her?!"

"we're sorry for your loss buddy.." said one of the workers before loading her onto the ambulance

-Gerald: "i was asked to leave her alone because she wanted to take a nap and when i went up to check on her the door was locked from the inside.. once i broke in.. she was.."

-Daniel: "why..? Wasn't she getting better?? Wasn't i doing enough?"

-Gerald: "she was depressed.. and that's what we all failed to see."

-Daniel: "..but why didn't she talk to me about it? She didn't.. think i could fix anything?"

-Gerald: "no son.. probably among all the darkness she was sinking into you were her only source of light.. but her depression took over. You did great for a man your age."

-Daniel: "if that's so then why didn't she hold onto the light? Why did she throw it away.. why did she leave it alone surrounded by all that darkness.."

While he was talking to Gerald he saw the ambulance car leaving the house

He then took one of gerald's hands between his two and said in a comforting tone

"sir they're driving off and they have mina!

I won't.. I won't let them take her.. I'll bring her back.. i- I promised you to keep her safe sir.."

Daniel ran after the car as fast as he could screaming and yelling to make them stop

Gerald tried to stop him as he wasn't making any sense but he couldn't

-Daniel: "HEYY!! BRING HER BACKK!! SHE IS OKAY.. SHE IS GETTING BETTER- Y- YOU ALL DON'T EVEN KNOW HER!!"

As he was running trying to catch up to the car he stumbled and fell in the middle of the street, he became all covered with dust and his hands got slightly wounded when he tried to stop the fall

"Give her back" he muttered

"Why won't you stop the car.. I told you, She's not leaving me.. she promised.."

He then kneeled and screamed his lungs out while crying heartily

"MINAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

30minutes.. 30minutes is enough for somebody to take a nap and relieve themseleves from a long day's stress..

30minutes is enough for somebody to make a snack they've been craving..

30minutes is enough for somebody to have a walk and clear their minds..

30minutes is also enough for somebody to lose their lives.. and for somebody to lose their dear ones.

30minutes is all it took Daniel to get the gifts and get back home..

30minutes is all it took him to lose everything after believing that he's gained something.

Kai and anya and some of their classmates went to mina's house after learning about what happened

-kai: "Daniel.. it's not your fault, just be happy that you were able to make her smile and was always by her side"

-Anya: "he is right.."

Daniel was sitting in a corner hugging his knees

-Daniel: "help me go home.. I don't wanna stay here"

Kai gave him a hand and helped him stand up

-kai: "daniel the funeral.."

-Daniel: "I don't wanna stay."

-Anya: "daniel.. her father won't be happy if you don't attend the funeral"

-Daniel: "I don't care I just wanna go home.. I wanna forget all abt it, if I stay up for longer I may end up losing my mind."

Kai grabbed daniel by the collar and started to shake him aggressively

-kai: "SNAP OUT OF IT DANIEL!!

GO BACK TO YOUR SENSES!! YOU CANNOT RUNAWAY AT A TIME LIKE THIS YOU UNDERSTAND??? Do you think her dad doesn't love her enough to just cower in the corner like you do?? But look at him standing up right there performing her last rights as a human and showing her respect.. you always let your emotions get the best of you in the.."

He let go of him strongly causing him to bump into the wall

-Anya: "kai go easy on him. It already hurts as it is.."

Daniel was completely knocked out and losing balance that he couldn't even stand correctly

-Daniel: "I really.. cannot think straight or.. im not that man you want me to be Kai, im sorry for not being enough i've never been.. I'm not- I'm sorry.."

-Anya: "he is not okay,"

Kai hugged Daniel tightly

-kai: "...get yourself together and just hold on for a little longer, her father needs you."

-Daniel: "..I can't stand this anymore, why's it always the people around me but never me?"

-kai: "i hope it'll never be you.."
