The following morning, Ren went to Lexie's house.

When Lexie was about to say something, Luna entered the living room with a happy face.

Lexie and her subordinates were stunned when Luna approached Ren and sat on his lap.

"Luna, big brother has a lollipop for you." Ren bought a lollipop before traveling to Lexie's house because he remembered Luna after leaving the Gentle Star Hotel.

"Thank you, big brother." Luna took the lollipop happily.

Lexie's face blossomed into a smile when she saw her niece's happy face.

'I hope nothing bad will happen to him later.'

Ren could make her niece happy, so she did not want him to die.

"Big brother, are you going to Framingburns forest with auntie Lexie?" Luna asked as she licked her lollipop.

"Yes. We will get a magical herb to cure your disease." Ren gave an honest answer because he thought Luna had already known everything.

"Can you promise me one thing?" Luna uttered.

"What is it?" Ren asked curiously.

"Auntie Lexie is my only family, so I want big brother to protect her. I don't want something bad to happen to auntie Lexie." Luna loved her aunt very much, so she did not want something bad to happen to Lexie.

Lexie was touched by Luna's words, causing a soft smile to spread across her face.

'Luna…'

She knew her niece loved her, but hearing it directly from her mouth made her happy.

"Don't worry. Big brother will protect her and won't let any magical beasts or bad people hurt her." Ren was not lying when he said this.

As someone who was hired by Lexie, it was his duty to protect her and complete the mission.

Luna raised her left little finger. "Promise?"

Ren intertwined his left little finger with hers. "Promise."

Right after his voice stopped, a notification popped up.

"Auntie Lexie, big brother said he would protect you later." Luna uttered.

"I heard it." Lexie smiled softly at her niece.

"Big brother, I will give you auntie Lexie if you can protect her and get the magical herb." Luna said shocking things while licking her lollipop.

Ren almost coughed upon hearing her words.

As for Lexie and her subordinates, they widened their eyes in shock.

However, Lexie and her subordinates did not say anything and only stared at Ren as if they were waiting for his response.

Black lines formed on his forehead when he noticed their gaze.

'Hey, stop looking at me like that. I'm also surprised, you know?'

He did not know what to say, so he said nothing.

"Young miss, you should not say something like that." Julia spoke abruptly.

"Why? Big brother is a good person. If he can protect auntie Lexie from bad people and magical beasts, that means big brother is a powerful person. They could not do anything about it, so they said nothing.

After talking for several minutes, it was finally time to go to Framingburns forest.

Lexie ordered thirty people to protect Luna; ten people protected her openly while the rest protected her from shadow.

"Big brother, don't forget your promise." Luna shouted as she waved goodbye.

Ren nodded his head as he waved goodbye to her.

After Ren and the others slowly disappeared into the distance, Luna mused, "Big brother, please be safe and protect everyone."
