Chapter 100: Domino Became His Own Employee?

"Haha, well, it's not entirely up to me. However, if there's an opportunity, I can certainly recommend you to her," Ethan said, laughing as he pressed the intercom. "Julia, let Inez and Sandy from the Security Department know I need to see them."

"Thank you, sir!" Domino replied with a friendly smile. "Everyone calls me Lucky Domino, by the way."

She settled in on the sofa with ease, seemingly unaffected by the rumors surrounding Ethan, the so-called "Ice Demon." She quickly picked up that this young man wasn't exactly the villain some made him out to be.

"Sit wherever you like," Ethan invited, taking a seat at his desk. "Inez and Sandy will be here shortly. I just need to finish some work while we wait."

"No problem, sir." Domino responded, her tone relaxed.

As he signed documents, Ethan struck up a conversation. "So, I'm curious about this Wade you mentioned. His healing ability—does that come from Wolverine, Logan?"

Domino chuckled. "I don't know all the details, but he's an interesting one. Let's just say his morals are… flexible. He might not be your kind of guy."

Domino leaned back, feeling comfortable. "But lately, Wade's been pretty low-key. Ever since the Devil's Island incident, he's practically disappeared. Cable's still hunting him down, something about Wade stealing something valuable."

"That's unfortunate," Ethan replied, smiling. "Osborn has the resources to heal him. His regenerative powers could make him an asset."

Domino raised an eyebrow. "I doubt Wade sees it that way. Speaking of Osborn, though—Dr. Connors used to work here, right? He's the one who became… the Lizard?"

"Right. Dr. Connors was a brilliant geneticist," Ethan replied. "He got impatient, though, and ended up experimenting on himself. Now? He's HYDRA's top genetic researcher, attempting to unlock and replicate the mutant X-gene."

Domino's eyes widened in horror. "That's terrifying."

Their conversation was interrupted as Inez and Sandy entered, surprised to see Domino. Sandy, with her vibrant red hair, smiled and waved at her, while Inez quickly masked her surprise, giving only a slight frown.

"Come in," Ethan invited, and Sandy stepped forward with a playful grin. "Look who's here! Lucky Domino, in the flesh."

Domino grinned back. "Hey, Sandy, Inez. It's been a while."

After some small talk, Ethan opened a portal using his Sling Ring, revealing a view of his Long Island villa. Domino, without hesitation, stepped through, followed by the others, who looked around in awe at the lavish space on the other side.

"This place is amazing," Domino marveled.

Ethan chuckled. "Maybe you could buy a place like this if you didn't spend so much time gambling."

Sandy and Inez laughed knowingly, and Domino shrugged. "Hey, I gamble to shake off bad luck."

"Seems like it's the opposite," Ethan remarked with a raised eyebrow.

While the women helped him prepare a meal of bluefin tuna, king crabs, and other delicacies from his recent fishing trip, Domino glanced at Ethan's physique through the floor-to-ceiling windows. "Ladies," she said, barely concealing her appreciation, "don't you think Ethan's got an amazing figure?"

Sandy and Inez exchanged a knowing look and grinned. They had all seen enough of Ethan to appreciate his build and charisma. Domino sensed a hidden story between them and narrowed her eyes.

"No way," she said, intrigued. "Do you two have a… story with the Ice Demon?"

"Alright, Domino," Sandy interrupted, quickly steering the conversation. "Why are you here in New York?"

Domino's smile turned serious. "Colossus and Logan wanted me to find you. With everything happening, Wizel School for Gifted Youth needs all hands on deck. They're hoping you'll return."

Inez shook her head. "Thanks, Domino, but we're Osborn employees now. We won't be going back to Wizel."

Sandy leaned in, adding with a smile, "And frankly, we're doing fine right here. This job has perks that are hard to give up."

Domino tilted her head, curious. "Perks?"

Inez gave her a nod. "Our annual salary is five million, after tax, and the company covers our medical expenses—everything from dentist visits to plastic surgery, if we wanted it."

"Wang Defa!" Domino exclaimed, eyes wide. "Seriously?"

"Seriously," Sandy replied. "Our meals, car fuel, lodging, even our clothes are reimbursed. Osborn takes care of us."

Domino leaned forward, excitement lighting up her face. "Please tell me they're hiring!"

Sandy and Inez exchanged another smile. "Actually, I was just about to say—Domino, you'd make a great fit here. You should definitely consider joining."

Before Domino could respond, Ethan reappeared, his arms full of fresh seafood. "Ladies, enjoy your conversation. I'm going to prepare the grill outside. Feel free to help yourselves."

With a smile, Domino took a step back and watched as Ethan prepared the meal, clearly impressed. Sandy and Inez, meanwhile, continued sharing stories of the company's many benefits with her. As they enjoyed their time together, Domino felt that, in joining Osborn, she might just have found a new, lucky place to call home.
