Marvel 7

Max marveled at the black sword in his hand, the fusion of darkness, space, and death creating a weapon that seemed to absorb the very light around it. The hilt was smooth but cold to the touch, and the blade itself was sharp, almost humming with energy. The particles still swirled faintly around the sword, as if the weapon was alive, drawing power from the forces it was made of.

"That's insane," he muttered, feeling the weight and balance of the sword. Despite its heavy appearance, it was light in his hand, perfectly attuned to him.

He swung it experimentally, watching as it left a faint trail of darkness in the air. When he focused harder, the sword's edge glowed slightly with the eerie, nebula-like shimmer of space particles, giving it a surreal, otherworldly feel.

Max smirked. Night Disciple was turning out to be even cooler than he expected. His newfound control over the elements of death, darkness, and space gave him a sense of limitless possibilities.

"Now I just need to test it in real combat," Max thought, gripping the sword tightly as it pulsed with raw power in his hand.

"But for now, let's check the other things out," he mumbled, bringing out the Night Monarch Set.

[Error… Host cannot use it until reaching the Night Monarch level.]

Seeing this, his face fell. It was like having a cake right in front of you, but you couldn't eat it—just stare at it. He looked at the Night Monarch Set, which consisted of three pieces.

The first was a crown, beautifully crafted from black material with sparkling white diamonds embedded in it.

The second was a full-body armor, following the same black-and-white theme. It came with a cape that resembled the midnight sky, adding to its majestic appearance.

Lastly, there was a ring, called Sword of Night, which had a morphing ability. It could change into three forms: a ring for mages, a sword for warriors, and a bow for ranged combat.

Max put the Night Monarch Set back, feeling a bit disappointed that he couldn't use it after seeing its incredible stats. Finally, he took out the last item, the Night Monarch Inherent Trait.

"What is this Trait?" Max asked, his curiosity piqued, as his Omni-Energy Ruler itself is trait.

[In the Night Monarch's universe, it was akin to their superpowers,] Yue replied as Max nodded, deciding to inherit it.

Suddenly, the system messages appeared:

[Host obtained the Trait: Dance of Light and Darkness]

[Dance of Light and Darkness: A Supreme Trait that is formed after the perfect fusion between light and darkness. It allows complete control of both elements.

Grants fusion of light and darkness.

Allows the creation of various abilities based on their combination into a single element.]

"hmm, trait, must be Night Monarch world thing" Max thought as he let it go and decided to try to use it.

[Yes, in that world everyone awakens a Trait and start their journey] Yue said as Max nodded looked at his palm as he tried to use the Supreme Trait.

Max focused on the swirling dark vortex in his hand, a grin forming on his face. "It's easier than it looks," he mumbled, his eyes fixed on the energy swirling before him.

Yue, his guide, quickly dampened his excitement. [This is like a parlor trick. When you try to use it on a bigger scale, it'll be much harder.]

Max rolled his eyes, acknowledging the jab with a nod. Still, he mused, where can I practice without causing a scene?

As he considered his options, an idea came to him. "New York's full of abandoned places," he muttered with a shrug. He quickly got ready, deciding to explore the outskirts of the city, hoping to find a perfect, deserted spot to train without drawing attention from authorities or endangering anyone.

"Yue, do you know a place like that?" Max asked, remembering that he could use UP in any way he wanted, hoping it included information.

[Yes, but it'll cost 1 UP], Yue responded. Max paid, and after hearing the information and the location, he facepalmed.

"Seriously? The same place where Miles Morales got a love bite from his glitching spider?" Max mumbled to himself as he jumped out of his room, which was on the second floor, landing directly in front of his house.

"Whoa, kid! Stop doing parkour near people! It's dangerous for both you and others!" a passerby, an older man, exclaimed, surprised by Max's sudden appearance.

"Sorry!" Max called out over his shoulder as he sprinted off, leaving the startled man behind. He weaved through the streets, his pace quickening as excitement surged through him. It didn't take long before he reached the metro entrance, descending into the underground.

The bustling city noise faded as he ventured deeper into the system. Soon, he arrived at an abandoned station, long forgotten by commuters and now overrun with dust and graffiti. The dim lights flickered overhead, casting eerie shadows along the cracked tiles.

Max paused for a moment, catching his breath. "This is it," he muttered, looking around. It was perfect—isolated and completely off the grid.

"Hmm, let's decorate it a bit," Max mumbled to himself as he brought his hands together in front of him, activating his Mist Ruler ability. A massive amount of black mist-like gas poured out from his palms, spreading quickly throughout the entire abandoned station and even flowing into the tunnels.

Max's eyes widened as he realized something new. "Hm, I can feel and see everything inside the mist," he said, surprised by this discovery. With a grin, he began controlling the mist, clearing out all the dirt and graffiti from the station. The place slowly transformed, the once rundown station now eerily clean and pristine.

Next, he focused on securing the area. He manipulated the mist, forming a thick wall at the entrance to the tunnels, ensuring no one could wander in. He adjusted the mist to create the illusion of an old, crumbling wall to any normal passerby outside. From the inside, though, it was his new hidden domain.

"Perfect," Max whispered, admiring his handiwork.

"Now, I have my super hero base" Max nodded to himself as he looked around.
