Everyone was reminiscing, so Azeroth had to join in on the fun too. He also began reflecting on his own past…
Several hours earlier… Wait, something seemed off. Others had memories spanning decades, so why did he only have a few hours?
Thinking back, he realized he really had no so-called "past" because, truthfully, he had only been born not long ago.
His existence was solely for the purpose of completing a single mission, and outside of that mission, the rest of his life was insignificant.
"In just one day, I've already been to two different planets. Now that I'm following Lei Feng, my chances of completing the mission have significantly increased. He really is a suitable emperor." he muttered before falling asleep.
A quiet night passed, and the sunlight gradually emerged. Other than being slightly different from Earth, the sun still rose in the east.
How did they know it was the east? Was it really important? Just calling it the east was fine—after all, it was just a name.
The bodies of the four were quite sensitive. As soon as the sun's rays touched them, they woke up not long after.
"Are all of you awake?" Lei Feng asked.
"Yes!" the three responded.
At that moment, titles like 'Your Majesty' or Emperor didn't matter; having just woken up, they were all too lazy to talk.
Although they did admire Lei Feng, this group was far from ordinary, and by common standards, their behavior didn't make much sense.
Lei Feng clearly didn't bother with such trivialities, and he said,
"Let's quickly find something to eat, then get going to find another target. Also, staying in one place isn't safe. Yesterday, Xue Lian killed quite a few red dragons, so there's a high chance there's a larger group of red dragons not far from here."
The others nodded and went off to find food. Suddenly, Xue Lian raised her head and saw several watermelons growing on a wooden tree trunk. Her mouth twitched, and she asked,
"Is that… a watermelon?"
The others looked where she was pointing and, sure enough, it was a watermelon. Lei Feng glanced at Azeroth and asked:
"Does this make sense?"
Azeroth felt wronged. He didn't create this world. He barely knew anything about it—just a few basic details, really.
"I really don't know. Just think of this place as not being Earth, so weird things aren't that big of a deal."
If they didn't understand something, they could just blame it on the fact that this wasn't Earth. After all, who could argue with that?
At that moment, Xue Lian had already sprinted over and climbed the tree. Her movements were agile, and with a burst of strength, she climbed quickly.
She grabbed the watermelon and said,
"Come here and catch this so I can climb down."
She considered jumping, but the tree was over seven meters high—too risky to make a rash move.
Upon hearing her, Azeroth stepped forward and caught the watermelon, while she quickly climbed down herself.
"Give it to me," she said, then immediately split the watermelon in half. The red flesh inside looked just like a real watermelon, and it seemed quite delicious. She said,
"Azeroth, since you caught it, you eat first."
He nodded and took a bite, but soon realized something was off. It wasn't the taste—the fruit was indeed edible—but there was something about Xue Lian.
"Did you just use me to test if it was poisonous?"
"Ah, no! Don't talk nonsense. I was just being nice and letting you try first because it looked really tasty."
"Do you even believe what you're saying?"
"No."
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward. The four of them didn't know what to say. A few seconds later, Azeroth broke the silence,
"I'm weaker than you, and you have much higher poison resistance than I do. There's no need for me to test it. Anyway, it tastes fine—no issues."
"Hehe, as long as it's fine. I'll need you to test more later. You can finish that one, I'll go grab some more."
"Uh, what? Why do you need me to test more? I'm not immortal, you know."
Azeroth was at a loss for words. Despite his unusual origins, he knew he wasn't invincible.
"Haha, don't mind her. She probably didn't mean any harm." Lei Feng chuckled.
In this situation, even if Azeroth wanted to seriously explain on her behalf, he couldn't think of anything to say. With no other choice, he gave a half-hearted response.
"I'm not blaming her. She's just that kind of person—free-spirited, does whatever the heck she feels like. Absolutely can't let her take any leadership roles. If she did, the whole system would turn into a chaotic mess."
"Your Majesty, I completely agree. She absolutely cannot be a leader." Long Wei nodded in agreement.
Lei Feng clearly wasn't foolish; from the moment he first met her, he knew that she and the word 'leader' had nothing to do with each other.
"You don't need to worry. As long as I'm alive, she will never lead any organization."
Free-spirited individuals do have their flaws, particularly when it comes to working within a team. A free spirit tends to act impulsively, which makes them a fine employee but an unreliable leader.
Letting her take on a temporary leadership role might be tolerable, but long-term? She could easily wreck the entire organization on a whim.
Not long after, each person had a watermelon in hand, and their breakfast was considered done. If they got hungry later, they could pick some wild fruit. After all, this place wasn't lacking in fruit.
"Alright, grab your weapons and let's move out. This time, we're going to investigate the red dragons." Lei Feng said.
The three others followed him, heading in a direction opposite to where the red dragons had gone.
They weren't certain if they would actually encounter the red dragons, but it wasn't out of the question.
Following the trail the red dragons had left the night before, they traveled for quite some time—probably about three or four kilometers—until they came across a camp.
The camp was hastily built but still better than their own situation (they had simply slept leaning against trees).
But no one could blame the others for putting in extra effort; after all, most people didn't know that this world had no dangerous insects or reptiles.
The only 'bug' in this world had already fallen into Lei Feng's hands, and no one else should even think about getting it.
At this moment, the group was quietly moving behind trees and through bushes to stay hidden. Until they could assess the enemy's strength and any potential traps, they couldn't act recklessly.
"You check this direction, you check this direction, and you check this direction. Quickly see if there are any traps." Lei Feng instructed.
