Alice coughed and coughed and then looked up to find three people staring at her like they had seen a ghost.
There was Mark, Devon, and Miss Stella.
"What? Is there a party that I didn't know of?" She asked, rubbing her throat and they crowded her.
But Miss Stella beat all of them to it and hugged Alice, pressing her head to her bloated yet soft chest.
"Oh, thank goodness. I was so worried." She said. "It's a miracle, honestly."
"Alice, are you okay?" Both guys ended up asking simultaneously and it got the other irritated. They exchanged fierce glances before turning to worry about Alice.
"Yes, I'm fine. What's going on?" She asked. "I thought Miss Stella was only going to be here by Saturday to give me my uniform." She said. "And why are you two looking at me like that, I'm not dead, so cut it out."
"You can't blame them," Miss Stella said. "Especially given how much blood you threw up."
