The once luxurious and opulent carriage of the Banks family seemed less conspicuous on the streets of Stormwind City. Such carriages were common, with many even more lavishly decorated.
The Adventurers' Guild headquarters in Stormwind City was a five-story building, with the first floor serving as the mission hall. Many adventurers came and went, busy with their tasks.
"I wonder how Emil and the others are doing," Helag thought, remembering that Emil had also become an adventurer, taking on various missions with Jimmy and the rest to make a living.
After settling in Moonlight Forest, Helag had written a letter to Emil.
However, it would take a long time for Emil to receive it, as the letter had to cross the ocean and wait for a ship to pass by the Corso Continent.
There were many potential mishaps along the way, and the letter might never reach its destination.
"By now, Emil's child should be born. I'm his godfather," Helag reminisced with a sense of nostalgia.
"Malcolm…"
Helag thought of Malcolm, a very famous and powerful Level 1 wizard even in Green Cottage.
Baron Buck's fate was unfortunate, falling into Malcolm's hands and having his entire family wiped out, leaving only Emil.
Such actions by Malcolm would be stopped on the Karag Continent, but on the Corso Continent, no one could control him, allowing him to act with impunity.
Helag wouldn't foolishly stand up to Malcolm for massacring ordinary people. Without enough strength, he could only avoid Malcolm.
As Helag entered the hall, he attracted many glances.
The hall was filled with adventurers, and knight-level experts were common.
Helag's naturally powerful aura made these adventurers instinctively wary, giving him a wide berth.
Sid took the initiative to find a guild staff member, and soon he returned with a blond man.
"Sir, this is Miro Kale, the vice president of the Stormwind City Adventurers' Guild," Sid introduced.
Miro nodded and extended his hand. "Hello, esteemed guest. I'm the vice president here. You can tell me whatever you need."
Helag took out the introduction letter from Count Huen. "This is a letter of introduction from Count Huen Banks."
"Oh, it's addressed to the president, but he's currently not in Stormwind City. Since it's an introduction letter, I can handle it as I temporarily oversee all the president's affairs," Miro said, taking the letter and carefully reading it, verifying the signature before nodding.
"Mr. Helag, please come upstairs. It's more private," Miro invited Helag to discuss matters upstairs.
The second floor housed Miro's office. Sid stopped at the door, standing guard.
Miro poured Helag a glass of water and said, "Mr. Helag, are you a mystic?"
"Yes, that's correct," Helag nodded.
Miro smiled. "Don't misunderstand, Mr. Helag. According to Duke Theodore's regulations, we need to register any mystics entering the city."
"I understand," Helag replied, aware of the rule.
To ordinary people, wizards were too dangerous, so large cities often had such regulations.
However, most wizards wouldn't voluntarily register, and local authorities typically wouldn't provoke them. The rule's practical significance was limited.
"Where is Robert now?" Helag asked directly.
Miro nodded. "We've already notified him. We received Count Huen's notice before you arrived, so Robert has stayed in Stormwind City to wait for you."
"Alright, I'll wait here for him. By the way, do you have many great knight-level members in your guild?" Helag asked, relaxing on the sofa with his eyes closed.
Miro was a bit taken aback but then smiled. "There are only three great knight-level members in Stormwind City, and Robert is the only one who regularly takes missions."
Helag had a good idea now. "It seems the one following me that day was Robert. His skills are quite good."
Half an hour later, there was a knock on the door, and a man's steady voice called out, "Miro, I'm here."
"Robert has arrived. Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Helag," Miro said, getting up to open the door.
When the door opened, Helag saw Robert and confirmed he was the great knight-level thief who had followed him.
Robert initially froze upon seeing Helag, his expression changing slightly, but he quickly composed himself, pretending not to recognize Helag.
"Is it really him? Did he recognize me? No, he should have only sensed my presence that day, not seen my face. He shouldn't recognize me," Robert thought as he walked over.
"Robert, this is Mr. Helag. He has some questions for you. I'll leave you two to talk while I attend to guild matters," Miro said, feeling his task was complete.
"Have a seat," Helag said, sitting on the sofa and taking a sip of water.
"Alright," Robert replied, feeling inexplicably nervous. He had never trembled while killing, but now he was inexplicably tense.
He sat on the sofa, his body stiff, like a child caught doing something wrong.
"Did you get this?" Helag asked, taking out the Cursed Doll and getting straight to the point.
Robert gasped upon seeing the doll.
"I… I…" Robert stammered, unsure how to respond.
He knew Helag was a mysterious wizard and feared for his life if he answered incorrectly.
"Don't be nervous. I just want to know where you got it. I won't do anything to you," Helag reassured him.
Robert took a deep breath and calmed down. "I did get the doll, but I found it."
"Found it?" Helag asked skeptically.
Seeing Helag's doubtful look, Robert quickly added, "Really, I found it. The person who had it was a wizard, wearing a robe and holding the doll. I thought anything a wizard held onto before dying must be valuable, so I took it."
"But after I got it, the doll made me feel very uncomfortable. It seemed like a bad omen, so I sold it to Count Huen. Those nobles love collecting such things."
Helag monitored Robert's state closely, and Deep Blue's analysis showed,
[Probability of truth: 99.6%.]
After thinking for a moment, Helag asked, "Where did you find it?"
