Who Won?

*Gasps* rang throughout the room with people shocked at the revelation.

"How have you been oh brother of mine?" The Darklord asked calmly.

"I've never been better. But you seem to be in pain, Sullivan." Jacob said with a similar patience.

"Pain?! Ha! I haven't known any pain since I've come this far brother, if only you'd see things my way. If you did you'd know things like pain are but a burden, an imperfection, a mistake in creation."

"And look where it has got you, no one stands by your side anymore."

"People!! Tell me, brother!! Do people bow down to you each time they see you!!?"

"I don't need people bowing down to me brother, especially not in fear. While you have millions who can do such a thing for you, you don't have a single person who can stand by your side."

"Stand by my side? Such a thing is a high privilege, yes. I do feel lonely sometimes. But such is life. Such is the price you have to pay to reach the top. You who haven't seen what it is like from up here cannot even begin to understand this privilege that is far greater!!"

"You're drunk. Drunk on your power. You haven't reached the top brother, all you've done is sacrifice everyone that was above you to claim that you're on top. Pathetic."

"You wouldn't understand the pain I've gone through to reach here! You're a measly auror! What could you know about this!! What could you know about what I've been through."

"I might not know about a lot brother, but I do know quite a bit about pain. Do you remember? The day Mom and Dad died in that accident? I've worked my life away to give you all that you need!"

"Ahhh~ yes. I remember them. Terrible people they were, their magic had stagnated and they couldn't progress, so I killed them."

"...what!?"

"Yes….I still remember it, as fresh as it were yesterday. I remember setting up that trap in mom's potion-making room, it must've exploded in their faces since they weren't careful enough."

"Sullivan!!! You!! You bastard!!!"

A flash of red emitted from Jacob's wand as it swam through the air and moved at blinding speed toward the man floating in the air.

But the man was strong, he swiped his wand through the air and caused the spell to deflect away from him.

"You'll have to do more than that to kill me, brother."

"I'm no longer your brother!! I am dead to you!!"

"Oh, very soon you will be. Like the rest that were lined for their graves before you."

This time it was the man floating in the air was the one who initiated an attack and it was a blunt one, "Avada Kedavra!!"

A thick beam of green light shot through the air and moved towards Jacob.

Quick on his feet Jacob swiped his wand upwards and caused a portion of the floor to rise up like a barrier and block the thick beam of light.

But given that the killing curse cast by Sullivan was strong, it effortlessly pierced through the stone barrier and exploded the barrier, except Jacob had used that short delay he bought to dive away from the spell's reach.

"Good. Good. This wouldn't be fun if you couldn't even do this much."

"Avada Kedavra!!"

Jacob dove behind a new set of rocks and with a swift wave of his wand shouted a charm, "Magnus Avis!!!"

Instantly out of nowhere, seven giant pterodactyls appeared in the air and dove sharply at Sullivan while aiming to bite his head off with their sharp beaks.

"Hmpf. Arrogant! As if mere birds could ever hurt me."

Sullivan turned his focus to the birds and waved his wand wordlessly, causing a set of equally large snakes to appear from the ground and chomp on those pterodactyls, snapping their necks in half and eating them up in one big gulp.

"Now, it's time for you to die brother." Aiming his wand right at Jacob's chest, Sullivan spoke once again in a cold manner.

"Avada Kedavra!"

A thick pulse of green light travelled through the air and struck Jacob's chest, sending him flying back as he crashed into the boulders afar.

Everyone froze in shock.

'Shouldn't the hero win!?'

'Why is the villain winning!?'

Everyone grew confused and so did Sullivan.

He arrogantly floated towards Jacob's unmoving and cold body as he searched for him in the rubble created.

Sullivan effortlessly shifted tons of rocks and finally found Jacob's body.

"I guess that is all you had to offer to me, brother." There seemed to be an unhinged madness to his tone that sent all the students in the classroom shivering with fear.

But suddenly like everyone in the audience, Sullivan became stunned when the body crumbled into dust.

He immediately turned around and looked behind him, only to realise he had been caught.

"This is the end of the road for you brother." Jacob whispered like the devil as he placed his wand on Sullivan's neck.

"What are you going to do? Kill you only brother? Don't you have some sympathy for me?"

Jacob snarled as those words came out of Sullivan's mouth and Sullivan dropped the act yet a smirk became prominent on his face.

"Do you really want to do this brother?" Sullivan asked insidiously as he waved his wand and caused a piece of the rubble to fly up and float in the air.

Jacob's eyes reluctantly left Sullivan but his eyes instantly widened as he saw what was underneath the rock.

"Louisa!!!!"

Louisa remained under the rock, unconscious, as Jacob's heart throbbed with pain as he looked at the condition she was in.

"Anything happens to me and the boulder above her will crush her and then she'll die."

"You won't!!" Jacob snarled, his eyes turning red with anger.

"You told me that I didn't have any people beside me in the beginning, didn't you brother, now don't you see? She's but a burden for you, someone who can be used to tie you down, you aren't free." Sullivan smirked.

Jacob hesitated and closed his eyes.

Just as he was about to lower his wand, Sullivan and Jacob both heard a groan.

Louisa had woken up.

She looked around for a bit and then her eyes focused on Jacob holding his wand on Sullivan's neck.

"Jacob!!!" she screamed. "Don't listen to him!!! Don't worry!! I will protect myself!!! Defeat him!!!!"

"Ha!! Protect yourself?! With what?!? You don't even have your wand anymore." Sullivan spoke in derision.

Jacob looked at Louisa who was only a hand's distance away from him, yet in this moment she seemed so far away.

Sullivan felt Jacob's wand twitch a little and then loosen from his neck.

"Yes, yes, that's right, lower your wand."

Jacob closed his eyes and when he opened them under Sullivan's continuous taunting, they seemed to tremble with fear.

"Do i-" Sullivan started, but Jacob shouted, "BOMBARDA MAXIMA!!!!"

A huge explosion rang throughout the classroom and the entire stage was covered in a cloud of dust.

All students, even McGonagall, were enthralled by the play as they leaned in, hoping for the dust to clear faster so they could see the result of the explosion.

The spotlight went off and only the sounds of small rocks tumbling down were heard for a moment, bringing everyone to the edge of their seats.

'Who won?'
