Law Of Convergence.

Loki woke up with a bright smile on his face as he sipped on tea casually and got ready to reach King's Cross station.

"Kreacher! Let's go." Loki shouted only for the house elf to pop in front of him using apparition and gracefully holding Loki's hand to apparate to King's Cross Station.

"Goodbye Master Loki.", Kreacher said with a polite bow and vanished with a soft *pop*.

Looking at the red train engine spewing a tone of white smoke from the top of its chimney, "Hmm…now which cabin would be good?" Loki mumbled under his breath.

Stepping into the train and searching for an empty compartment, Loki eventually found the one right next to the Prefects' compartment like always and entered it.

He tucked away his trunk on the top of the storage area using a flick of his wand and then once everything was fine, collapsed into his seat to continue practising Occlumency.

Unlike always, Loki found no one coming to his compartment this time as he continued to immerse himself in the world of the book he was reading.

'Hmm…so now all I need to do to get started and protect my mind with occlumency is to conjure up some runes while my mind is empty.'

'But which runes do I conjure up? And what effects do the different runes have?' Loki wondered as he flipped the pages of the book to read further.

"There are several runes one can imagine inside their mind to protect their secrets. Elemental runes powered by spirituality can express a torrent of natural calamities to fight against the Legilimens.-"

"-One can also use several other means like self-created or standard charms in the form of runes to attack their Legilimens like a trap so that they can know specifically which part of their mind was targeted."

'Huh. I see.'

Reading further Loki realised the runes could be stacked upon each other to form various ruinc arrays to create multiple effects and defend against the attacker.

In the end, he learnt about how using the right runes can help him fight back against any mind modifications charms that an enemy might use.

And although not directly, by continuous practice of complicated runic arrays inside the mind, one can also strengthen their will to counter the Imperius curse.

"But what exactly is stopping someone from blocking the Imperius Curse?"

"Why exactly can't it be blocked or defended against using magic like the Protego charm?"

'How do these unforgivable curses work anyway?' Loki pondered but unfortunately, since he was reading a book about occlumency there wasn't much about the curses mentioned in it.

*knock* *knock*

Loki slid open the door to find the cart lady waiting outside.

"What would you like dear?"

"Erm…chocolate frogs? Got any?" Loki asked casually.

"Yes, in fact, I have a few left, how many do you need?"

"Three or four will be good." Loki nodded.

"Alright." As the lady collected the right amount, four, from her cart, she casually conversed with Loki.

"Stay safe dear, I've heard from students gossiping on the train that Sirius Black is coming to Hogwarts."

"To Hogwarts? For what?" Loki asked a little surprised.

"I don't know but if I were to make a guess, it might be because of Harry Potter, doesn't he get involved with everything each year?" The old lady chided as she held out the frogs for Loki who held out the corresponding payment.

There was a glimmer in the lady's eyes as she saw the money and she was about to pocket it when the train suddenly grew cold.

'Why's is it so cold all of a sudden?' Loki wondered and looked at the window to see if there was anything outside that was turning the temperature like this.

Looking outside, Loki first spotted the dense clouds that had gathered up above, hiding the sun and then recognised the several black-cloaked figures floating about as frost began to gather on the windows.

"Ah!!!" The cart lady screamed shortly and shouted, "Dementors!!! Who let the Dementors board the train!!"

As the situation worsened in a matter of seconds, with temperatures dropping dangerously low causing fog to appear out of Loki's mouth and nose each time he breathed, Loki heard the door of the compartment next to him slide open as Prefects stepped out.

Their faces were grim and Loki could tell they were tense.

"Student, please return to your compartment and lock the door." A prefect spoke to Loki while softly pushing him back into his compartment.

Loki did as he was told and locked the door, huddling himself in the middle, away from both the window and the door.

'It feels depressing.' Loki thought as a sense of dread invaded his heart like a growing web of cracks.

Time ticked by and as the train grew colder Loki found himself being able to listen to a scraping noise from outside his compartment.

The noise stopped after a few seconds, and just when he was about to breathe a sigh of relief a sense of dread washed over him.

The door *rattled* with heavy shaking and Loki found himself feeling vulnerable.

'Where are the prefects? And why aren't they doing anything?'

Loki kept his gaze frozen on the door, clutching his wand tightly while priming his spirituality to be ready for anything.

The lock on the door snapped open and the rattling immediately stopped.

The door began to slide open as Loki found himself face to face with a floating mass dressed in torn pitch-black robes while a hood covered the creature's face in shadows and darkness.

The lights outside had flickered, plunging the environment of the compartment into darkness as Loki found himself having trouble paying attention to the Dementor's body which kept blending into the darkness.

It stretched its bony hands towards Loki causing his stomach to twist and turn into knots.

Loki felt as if the world was ending.

It felt as if there'd be nothing to do anymore.

He felt scared and also alone.

He felt as if there was no point in living anymore.

But just as the dementor moved, Loki snapped his wand in its direction and shouted, "Velox Acus!!!"

A bolt of invisible wind, lighting and ice needle pierced through the air and reached the Dementor in an instant.

The Dementor attempted to dodge, but there wasn't enough time.

The sharp wind needle pierced into the Dementor's robes sending a flurry of wind that pulled away its hood.

But it didn't end there.

The skull inside the hood burst open and the Dementor was thrown backwards into the wall of the train as Loki jumped at the occasion to rush through the train to find someone who could help him.

'Damn! I should've learnt the Patronous charm!!' Loki complained since he could do nothing except run.

As Loki ran past the Dementor, he noticed something peculiar, one of its forearms had a single bone instead of the regular two.

Loki's brain immediately turned gears to realise the coincidence as he connected it with his own wand, sending shivers down his spine and causing him to freeze for a moment.

But Loki didn't stand on the occasion and immediately escaped, trying to find either a prefect or a professor.

An unholy scratch resounded from behind him, but Loki didn't look back and continued ahead through the dark and cold swaying corridors.

'Holy Merlin of God!!'
