Alchemy: Result of Change(I/II)

"Run! Wallace, run!" HR shouted, stopwatch in hand. They were deep in the Speed Lab, with HR supervising Wally's training, closely monitoring his increasing speed.

"And... time!" HR signaled the end of the session, his voice echoing across the room. Wally skidded to a halt, his breath coming in heavy gasps before he quickly recovered.

"What's my current speed?" Wally asked, tossing a towel to HR, who was grinning from ear to ear.

"You, Wallace," HR said, holding up the stopwatch triumphantly, "are clocking in at Mach 6.1! Impressive, my friend. You're really starting to close that gap between you and Barry."

Wally couldn't help but smile. "Still a long way to go, but I'm getting there."

HR nodded. "At this rate, you'll be the fastest man alive in no time!"

Wally wiped his face with the towel, thinking about all the work still ahead. "Can't stop now," he muttered. "Savitar's out there, and I have to be ready."

"You're getting faster every day," HR said encouragingly, but Wally just nodded, his thoughts already drifting to what more he could do. His powers were growing, but was it enough?

"Okay, if that's all, then I need to get back to my studying," Wally said before he sped off, leaving HR in a daze. "He's so fast," HR muttered before going off to make his first... fifth coffee of the day.

Appearing on the outskirts of Coast City, his personalized building stood just a few meters ahead of him. He glanced at his phone, switching it off to ensure it couldn't be tracked. With the addition of radio wave dampeners surrounding the building, he was now truly safe.

Taking out his other phone, he walked into the building, the cold, fresh air bombarding his nostrils. His gaze washed over his clones, who were still working at full speed without rest.

It had been three days since Christmas, and business had been booming. His orders had multiplied. However, no matter how many there were, it was no match for five clones constantly sweeping them away.

In total, he had accumulated $356,600. With this, he planned to go deeper into the business industry, intending to buy stocks that would appreciate over time.

On other matters, Jesse had returned to Earth-2 to personally inform Harry of the recent developments about Savitar and Alchemy and her role in it.

It had been a day since she left, so naturally, she should be returning anytime today. Other developments included his attempts at figuring out a way to phase-proof his hideout and workshop.

Phase-proofing it was the easy part, as he figured out all he needed to do was encase the buildings in negative tachyons, thereby negating speed. However, knowing how was a totally different thing from being able to do it. Negative tachyons weren't as easily generated as positive ones. He had been studying the Tachyon prism for ways to both dampen phasing and breaching, but he had made practically no progress.

'Since I have nothing to do, I better just finish my new suit at Star Labs then.' "Keep up the good work," he said aloud to his clones, who paused for a few seconds, almost wanting to say something. However, the next second, they resumed action.

Speeding off back to Central City, he took the chance to properly enjoy the feeling of running at superspeed, the wind grazing and parting as he ran, the electricity flowing through his blood like a shock. For the first time, he truly felt at peace since he had arrived in this new world, this new life of his.

"Wally!!" Suddenly hearing his name, he was snapped out of his trance, his eyes widening as he lost control of his speed. Boom! He crashed into the walls of Star Labs, successfully triggering an alarm.

Within seconds, Barry was already upon him. "Wally, are you okay? What happened?"

"What did you see?" Jay, standing in a casual outfit, inquired, his gaze nonchalant but heavy.

"I saw myself... on the ground... bleeding. Jesse was there; she was the one that called my name," he finished, his gaze cast away from the two before him.

"What? What's that supposed to mean?" Barry asked, his gaze filled with both worry and confusion. "Wally, don't worry so much. What you saw was probably just your imagination, right?" Barry added, shifting over to Jay.

Jay, staring at the two, simply wondered how Wally had been capable of seeing a future where he died. Naturally, he tied the reason for the vision to the Speed Force. But what confused him was why the Speed Force would show someone what could possibly alter or endanger the timeline. Was everything he knew a lie... incomplete? Just before he could continue, Barry once again spoke. "Jay, right?"

Snapped out of his thoughts, he focused on the matter at hand. "Not necessarily. You see, Wally, it seems to me that you might have a different type of connection to the Speed Force... you may have developed an ability that neither Barry nor I have," Jay continued. "The Speed Force is vast, and its connection with each speedster is unique. What you saw might be more than just a random vision—it could be a glimpse of an alternate future or a warning of some sort."

Wally's eyes narrowed in feigned confusion as he processed the information. "So... you're saying I might be seeing into the future?" 'Future sight activated now?' he thought, feeling fearful as the previous relief he had felt in the past few days vanished like dust.

Cisco's voice crackled over the speakers, "Barry, we need you in the breach room. Like, ASAP."

Without a second thought, Wally knew it was Jesse. For some reason, he felt both relief and fear stir inside him.

"Guys, let's go," Barry said, cutting through the tension. "We'll talk about this later, but in the meantime, don't mention this to anyone, okay?" His eyes briefly met Wally's before he sped off toward the breach room, Wally and Jay close behind.

Whoosh! The three of them appeared in the breach room where Iris, Caitlin, HR, Cisco, and even Joe stood, all eyes locked on the portal.

In a flash of light, Jesse appeared—Harry in hand.

"Well, well, if it isn't Harry. What brought you back so soon?" Cisco quipped, walking up to Harry with a grin before pulling him into a hug.

"Jesse here mentioned another evil speedster. Naturally, I had to come," Harry replied, his gaze briefly settling on Wally with hidden intent.

After exchanging greetings, everyone left the breach room one by one, leaving Barry and Harry alone.

"Barry," Harry began, his tone sharp, "how many times have I told you not to time travel?"

Barry stayed quiet, unable to meet Harry's gaze.

"Now look at the mess you've made." He paused before adding, "But you helped me clean up my mess. It's only fair I do the same for you."

"Thanks, Harry, I really appreciate it," Barry said, his voice sincere as they finally made their way into the Cortex. Without missing a beat, they all set to work.

Iris stood by the monitors, her arms crossed tightly over her chest, her brow furrowed in deep thought. Her gaze flicked between Cisco, Harry, and Caitlin. "How do we find Savitar?" she asked.

"We need to find Alchemy first," Caitlin replied without looking up from her keyboard. "If we can track him down, we're one step closer to finding Savitar."

Harry, his eyes squinting at a screen, suddenly paused and glanced over at HR, who was leaning idly against a nearby table. His expression turned into one of mild annoyance. "Aren't you going to help?" he asked sharply, his brows drawing together in a hard line.

HR blinked, startled, stuttering as if caught off guard. "Huh? Uh… I—"

Cisco rolled his chair over with a dramatic flourish, saving HR from fumbling further. "Jesse didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?" Harry asked, his eyes darting to Jesse, who was chatting away with Wally on the other side of the room.

"He's a big, fat fake!" Cisco declared, the words sharp and cutting, his tone half-teasing, half-serious.

HR straightened up defensively, raising his hands as if to ward off the blow. "I wouldn't put it like that," he protested, his voice rising an octave, clearly uncomfortable with the label.

Cisco didn't miss a beat, spinning around in his chair with a smirk. "Oh yeah? Then how was I supposed to put it?"

Wally, tuning out everything the rest of Team Flash were talking and bantering about, focused on Jesse, her smile making his heart beat even faster.

"Damn, is this love? he chuckled internally.

"Wally, have Cisco made you a suit?" she asked, particularly curious.

"No, he didn't; I made my suit myself. Wanna see it?" he asked with a grin.

"Yeah, I would like to," she replied, following Wally out of the Cortex, with Harry's gaze lingering on them, his thoughts unknown but easily reflecting in his eyes.
