"How did you know she was lying?" Hyun Soo asked as they walked down the hallway.

Min Jun hesitated slightly before responding. "It just seemed like a good way to extort money from the Park Family. I wasn't entirely sure she was lying about being pregnant with... your father's child," he admitted.

"But how did you know so much about her? When did you start spying on her?" Min Jun's curiosity was piqued.

Hyun Soo sighed, his expression hardening as he recalled the details. "Why would a twenty-eight-year-old woman waste her entire life on an old man like my father? She didn't care about anything except money. I followed her once and found out she was in a relationship with a guy almost the same age as hers," he explained, hiding the pain he felt.
