Just the two of us

The air stewardess took a step back which was a relief.

Within that moment the tension between them all plummeted.

Even though Lithe had no choice but to be near her in the small space it didn't feel as forceful as before. 

In Lithe's mind they were still a little too close for comfort but at least it was more bearable. 

"The Starke Tribe is seeking a reconciliation with the Wulfhart Tribe. It's common knowledge that they plan to go about this through an arranged marriage. There is no way members of his tribe will stand for you being the consort of the Wolf King."

She gave that heinous laugh again that reminded Lithe of a feral hyena. 

"Well, Zen believes that we are true mates so it doesn't matter what you or the rest of the world believes, this is a private matter between just the two of us."
