Universal Distribution System

The sound of a hydraulic door opening caused me to turn my head toward the new threat. Seeing that there were three more demons entering the med bay, I panicked.

One of the taller males had horns that practically touched the ceiling, and I could see all six of his horns on full display as he strolled closer to me as if he owned me. His eyes were bright silver, looking like liquid metal, as he gave me a heated look.

The muscles under his slight grey skin rippled with every step he took, and a beautiful blue color snaked around darker grey markings that looked like a combination of a tattoo and the ridges of multiple scars.

He had a longish beard coming to points beneath his chin and under both cheeks. His ears looked almost like an elf's, pointed out to the side. There were more blue markings on his forehead between the biggest horns jutting up to the ceiling, making it look like he had a Viking helmet on. Two more horns grew straight from either side of his head, while the smaller ones were behind each ear.

Like the purple demon who was holding me like I was as light as a feather, the male staring at me wasn't attractive in the traditional sense. And that made me happy.

The Prophet was attractive; the General who stole me from the pleasure station was attractive. I was beginning to understand that the more attractive the outside was, the darker and more viscous the inside was.

"She's awake," sneered a voice, and one of the shorter males, the same color as the one staring at me, appeared in my line of sight. While he might have looked like the first male, my body was reacting quite differently to him.

Everything inside of me was screaming that I needed to get out of the room, that the shorter grey male and monster beside him were a threat to me.

It was funny that I didn't feel that about the other four males in the room. But I would figure that out later.

Right now, I needed to escape.

As if sensing my thoughts, the purple dude flexed his muscles, his grip on me tightening just a fraction. But I tilted my head back and screamed like I was in pain. Frantic, thinking that he was hurting me, the purple guy relaxed his hold even more.

Realizing that this was the perfect time, I grabbed his curved horns and quickly pulled myself out of his grasp. Using his height and horns, I scrambled up his body. Pushing up on the ceiling, I quickly escaped the med bay, the sound of four very ticked off males following me.

----

"Find her! She's in the ceiling," hissed Ba'dqeel, turning to look at the guards standing outside of the med bay, their backs to the scene. He couldn't believe what he was seeing as he watched his mate climb up Zua'the and into the ceiling. Never before had he witnessed such speed and agility.

It was like she was a majmun, her footsteps sure as she ran away from the perceived threat.

"Yes, Sire," saluted the guards as they fanned out. The problem was that she had gone up into the ceiling, and there wasn't enough space in it for any of the Nycteromys to fit. They would have to find another species to try and get her down.

But who was that small?

----

I could feel my heart pounding as I replaced the tile I escaped through. Crawling on my hands and knees, I just went forward. I had no idea where I was going or even what I was doing, but I knew I needed to get away from those two males.

At every junction I found myself in, I went straight until I couldn't go forward anymore. Letting out a long sigh, I looked around, trying to think of my next move. Everything was a bright silver color, with multiple colored electrical cords running along each side of the corridor.

There were no signs or anything like that to tell me where I was, and I was getting tired.

It was great that my bones were no longer sticking out of my body, and I was no longer suffering from an infection. But while my fever might have gone down, I was still feeling sick.

I was no longer in pain, but rather, my muscles were aching so much that it made me wonder what truck had hit me.

Lost in my own thoughts I missed the black shadow that was right beside my hand until it brushed my skin. I let out a startled yelp before I quickly slammed my hand over my mouth.

Looking down in fear as to what might have touched me, I was greeted with two bright yellow circles for eyes. The being looked like a giant fluffball, almost a perfect circle with two triangle-type ears poking out from the top of its head and a little pink nose that looked like an inverted triangle.

I narrowed my eyes as I continued to look at the creature, and I saw two little paws poking out from around its waist and another two paws where the ball was sitting on the floor.

As if realizing that I was studying it, it licked its paws the best it could and started patting down the fur around its stomach. "Meow," it squeaked, its tiny mouth opening to reveal two of the smallest fangs possible.

It was, without a doubt, the cutest thing I had ever seen.

"Hello," I murmured softly, taking my hand from where it covered my mouth and holding it out to the creature. It sniffed my appendage delicately before deciding that it liked me. Rubbing its smaller fluff ball of a head against my skin, the creature started to purr.

Picking it up, I brought it closer to my chest, wrapping both arms around it. It continued to purr louder, the sound relaxing me.

Finally, the universal cat distribution system had granted me a tiny black kitten of my own.
