Fortunately, I didn't have to walk to Shibuya; the temples had other means for quick travel. After packing my essentials, I was stopped by the high priestess. She led me to one of the countless armories hidden within the temple and handed me what appeared to be a simple black kimono.

Seeing my puzzled expression, she laughed and said, "Ama-chan, look at it again, but this time not with your eyes, but with your blessed heart!"

As instructed, I did so, and almost immediately, I saw the millions of fiery kanji inscribed on the kimono. The calligraphy was unique and so beautiful that I couldn't take my eyes off the garment.

"It is filled with talismans and was crafted by Amaterasu's finest weavers just for you. Take it; it will protect your life better than any armor, though hopefully, you'll never need it..."

Lost in thought, I donned the kimono right in front of the high priestess, who promptly turned around out of modesty.

The kimono fit like a second skin and felt as light as a feather. I ran my hand over the fine fabric, deep in thought, when the high priestess snapped me out of my reverie.

"And as a second gift from our temple, we have this for you... you should remember it from your sun ceremony. Its name is Hikari no Ken, the Sword of Light. According to legend, it was a gift from the emperor when the temple was founded. Bind it to yourself with a drop of blood."

I took the beautiful katana in my hands. It was forged from white steel with subtle red accents, enhancing the sword's perfection. It was about nine hand lengths long, just right for me. I lightly pressed my finger against the blade, and a drop of blood fell onto it, which the sword eagerly absorbed. I immediately felt a connection to the sword, and as I followed it, it transformed into a small good luck charm with the kanji for "light."

With another thought, it turned back into a katana.

With a tearful glance, I bowed before the high priestess and expressed my deep gratitude: "Thank you, Hina-sama! Thank you, Amaterasu-sama! I will never forget these gifts and will always treat them with the utmost respect!"

"Yes, yes, enough with the sentimentality, Ama-chan! You know I don't like that! Come on, Hina, take him to the temple port; time is of the essence for the people in Shibuya!" the goddess called out loudly. Without further comment, the high priestess grabbed me by the collar and carried me to the deepest part of the temple.

'The temple port should take me directly to a Shinto shrine near Shibuya. Hopefully, it works as Granny explained...' I thought as I was unceremoniously tossed into a large basin filled with holy water. The bottom of the basin was inscribed with a large kanji, which glowed softly.

I emerged spluttering and was about to complain to Hina, the high priestess, when I realized the temple port had already worked. I was no longer in the Jingū Shrine but in a small, unassuming shrine whose name I didn't even know.

"Honored blade, you were expected..." greeted me a frail, elderly voice from a priest who looked as if he was already half in the grave.

I bowed slightly, as I had been taught in the temple school, and immediately inquired about the direction of the Shibuya terminal.

The old priest led me out of the shrine and pointed out the direction on a map. It was confusing with many turns, but the priest reassured me that the way was well-signposted.

Finally, he said, "Please hurry, Amaterasu's blade! I feel great fear from many people! May the goddess guide you!"

I also felt the massive knot of fear and darkness a few hundred meters ahead, growing steadily larger.

After a quick bow, I sprinted off, using the sun breathing technique to its fullest extent for the first time in a while. With each breath, I became faster, and my feet emitted white sunfire. I was so fast that I easily overtook cars and motorcycles.

As there was no time for a covert approach, I relied entirely on the Mist's abilities to conceal my flaming sprint. I followed the old priest's directions and then the signs, which led me ever closer to Shibuya Station until I abruptly stopped, faced with a massive barrier.

As I cautiously pressed my hand against the barrier circle, I felt it permit me entry without resistance. Summoning my courage, I leaped fully into the circle. The scene that greeted me froze the blood in my veins. I couldn't help but vomit; before me lay the famous Shibuya Crossing, drenched in the blood of thousands.

Half-eaten corpses were scattered everywhere, and various cursed spirits were hunting the remaining survivors.

I could see yokai, onryo, and a few tsukumogami laughing and jeering as they played with human lives. An overwhelming rage welled up inside me, not only my own but also Amaterasu's.

I took a deep breath, and the sun breathing technique ignited within me hotter than ever. My left eye, where Amaterasu and I had embedded my new technique, blazed with white fire, and Hikari no Ken in my right hand glowed with the flames of my fury.

With a scream on my lips, I practically teleported to a yokai that was stuffing a little girl into its mouth. Without hesitation, I executed the first move of my sword dance, cleanly severing the yokai's head. I stood behind it as my fire flared, incinerating the severed head. With a hate-filled gaze, I looked at the over 100 vengeful spirits that had now noticed me.

"Burn! Burn in Amaterasu's fire! You have broken the pact, so let the fires of the sun punish you!" I shouted, my voice sounding eerie and dissonant. It was not just my voice; Amaterasu was also speaking through my flames to the vengeful spirits.

"ITACHI NO AMATERASU," I screamed the name of my new technique with fury, and from my burning eye, a thin laser of sunfire shot out, incinerating everything I set my gaze upon. Within seconds, all the vengeful spirits under my gaze were annihilated.

I could faintly hear Amaterasu's voice whispering to me: "Now you're on your own... I can't project any more of my flames through you; otherwise, I would burn you as well. But do not fear, the fire in your heart still burns as hot as the sun..."

The last words were so soft that I could barely hear them.

"So, just the Shibuya Station left," I said aloud to myself, as burning tears streamed from my left eye.
