CH2- Dear Mama

-Barry Allen's View-

*CRASH!* *CRASH!*

*THUD!*

*BOOM!*

I sat up in my bed with a gasp at the sudden loud sounds that had taken over the house. I quickly got out of bed and rushed over to Isaac to shake him awake. He slowly opened his eyes as more crashing and booming sounds resounded.

His eyes were now as wide as mine as we both ran down the stairs to investigate. I held his hand and kept him behind me to protect him from any potential danger.

When we made it downstairs, it was like watching a horror movie. No, it was like being in a horror movie. A storm of red and yellow lightning was revolving around my Mom as she screamed in horror. Dad was trying to get close to save her, but everytime he got close, he would get knocked back.

"Wait by the stairs." I told Isaac.

"But, Barry-"

"Isaac I said wait!" I turned to him and yelled sternly, leaving no room for discussion. Without looking back at him, I ran towards the storm, trying to get to her.

"Mom!"

"Barry!"

"Mom!" I stepped closer. As I stared into the storm, I swore I saw a man in that storm. It was a man in a yellow suit, with glaring red eyes.

"Barry! Stay away! Get you and your brother away!" Suddenly, Dad had me in his grasp and looked at me. His face, it was drenched in fear. His face scared me more than the man in yellow, because I had never seen my Dad's face look like this before.

"Run Barry, run!"

*ZZZZSSH*

In less than a second, I found myself outside on the street. I knew what block I was on because these were routes I would take to evade bullies when Isaac wasn't around to protect me.

I ran back home as fast as I could, afraid that the man in yellow might take something important from me. My family.

-Isaac Allen's View-

When I saw that Barry disappeared, I quickly ran and hid under the stairs, trying my best to avoid Eobard Thawne. I don't know what I might've done to him in the future, and I don't want to find out. If I screwed him over nearly as much as Barry did, then he'd definitely try and kill me too.

Dad had been knocked down again, but this time he wasn't getting up. I knew he was fine, but I also knew who wasn't going to be fine. After I acknowledged that future Barry nor Eobard wasn't going to return, I crawled from under the stairs and made my way towards mom.

I was waiting for the other future Barry to come and have his heart to heart before she died, but he never came.

'Perhaps in the future he comes to terms with her passing better than in canon?'

Although future Barry got over it, present me is far from it. I'm glad the other future Barry didn't come, because I could easily feel that current me would need this conversation even more than him.

"Mom?" She turned towards me weakly.

"M-My baby boy."

I laughed sadly, but behind that laugh was more than sadness. I don't recall the last time I've actually cried in both lives, but I knew that record was being broken right now.

"Mom, I-I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I-I'm sorry. I should've-"

"No, no, no, you listen to me." She put both her blood stained hands on my face and made me look at her.

"This is not your fault and there was nothing you could've done." I cried into her hands even harder. Even in her last moments, she was so loving and caring to me, something I never experienced in my last life. My mother in my past life, I won't ever talk about her again after this experience.

Nora Allen is my real mother, not her. Now that I was thinking about it, my Dad is set to be pierced through the heart by Zoom in season two of "The Flash".

'I couldn't save her, but I'll do anything to save him.'

"M-Mom, me and Barry are gonna find the man in yellow. We'll find him-"

"Shh, shh." She shushed me, smiling sadly, knowing she'd rather die in silence in the comfort of her son, than die in the middle of my overbearing tangent.

I held her hand and laid my head on her chest. I always knew this day would come when I chose this family to reincarnate into, but now that it's actually arrived, I wish I didn't remember this.

"I love you mom. So, so much." I closed my eyes and enjoyed the embrace of her shallow breaths and shaky hand.

"I-I love you too Ta..te…"

"Mom?" I noticed that her breathing and heartbeat had stopped. And her hand let go of mine. I looked up, and seeing the lack of life in her eyes almost broke my spirit, but I knew what lied ahead of me for this road, there's going to be a lot more hardships, but I was unsure whether or not they'd be worse..

I couldn't even cry anymore, my eyes were all dried up from only the last few minutes. I could only caress her peaceful face and listen to my own slow beating heart, wishing it was hers instead.

-3rd Person View-

After the death of Nora Allen, Henry Allen had woken up from unconscious to find his wife with a knife in her chest, and his emotionless son on his knees, caressing her face.

He attempted a late resuscitation, but it was far to late, his wife, and the mother of his children was gone. On the surface, he hoped the cops would help him bring that man in yellow to justice, but deep deep down, he knew that he would potentially be arrested and convicted for his wife's murder. The claim of a lightning man in his house sounded quite unbelievable.

As the police and ambulance sirens closed in on the house and assessed the situation, Barry Allen, after running back 10 blocks, had come back home to a very horrific sight. His father being dragged out of the house in handcuffs, pleading for his innocence, and his brother sitting in the back of an ambulance with a blanket, devoid of any emotion.

Isaac's face broke Barry, thoughts about how he should've stayed with him so he wouldn't have to have endured that on his own had invaded his mind, but it was of no use now.

The reality of this situation hit Barry hard, like a truck. His father was being arrested, his mother was murdered, and his brother is potentially depressed, where does that lead the future of the Allen family? Believe it or not, despite such a tragic beginning for the family, they'll be just fine in the future.
