36. Unexpected Fight

The Pidgeot was flying towards me with a fierce determination in its eyes. Like, it was on a mission to rip me a new beakhole. I could tell it was not happy, and I had a feeling I was in for a world of trouble.

I let out a nervous squawk, flapping my wings anxiously. Misty looked up at me, concerned. "What's wrong?" she asked, but I just shook my head, making a series of worried chirps and tweets.

Misty's expression turned from concern to confusion. "What's going on?" she asked again, but I just kept squawking and flapping my wings. I was trying to warn her, but all that came out was a bunch of bird noises.

Fuck, I can't speak to her in this goddamn form.

The Pidgeot was getting closer and closer, its eyes fixed on me with a fierce glare.

The Pidgeot swooped in, its eyes blazing with fury. "PIDGEOTTTTT! PIDGEOTTTT!" (You're the one who's been saying mean things to my baby boy! You're the one who's been bullying him!)

I tried to defuse the situation, but it was no use. I let out a series of calming chirps and tweets, trying to explain that it was all just a misunderstanding. But the Pidgeot was having none of it.

"PIDGEOTTTT! PIDGEOTTTT!" (You're a mean bird! You're a bully! My baby boy is innocent!)

I realized that I was in a bit of a pickle. I hadn't mimicked a Pidgeotto strictly, so I didn't know all of its moves. I had only used Quick Attack so far, and I wasn't sure if I could use it effectively in this situation. Plus, I needed to transform back into Ditto form in order to mimic a Pokémon, and I couldn't exactly do that with Misty on my back.

And even if I could use Quick Attack, it might not be the best idea. With Misty on my back, I didn't want to risk using a move that could potentially send her tumbling through the air.

But the Pidgeot wasn't interested in listening to reason. It just kept squawking and flapping its wings, accusing me of being a mean bird and a bully.

"PIDGEOTTTT! PIDGEOTTTT!" (You're going to pay for what you did to my baby boy! You're going to regret ever crossing me!)

I tried to reason with the Pidgeot, but it was no use. It was like trying to talk to a brick wall.

Suddenly, the Pidgeot's baby boy flew up to us, chirping and tweeting excitedly. "PIDGEOTTO!

PIDGEOTTO!" (Mommy, Mommy! He said mean things to me! He's a bully!)

The Pidgeot turned to its baby boy, cooing and comforting it. "PIDGEOTTTT! PIDGEOTTTT!" (Don't worry, baby boy. Mommy's here. Mommy will take care of this mean bird.)

I realized that I was in trouble.

The Pidgeot and its baby boy continued to squawk and chirp, their voices growing louder and more shrill. But to me, their squeaking had become incoherent, reverting back to just angry Pokémon squeals.

Misty looked at me with concern, her voice laced with worry. "I don't think the situation is good, Ditto."

I uttered a nervous squeak in response, my feathers ruffled with anxiety.

But as I listened to the Pidgeot and its baby boy, I realized that they were both completely and utterly retarded. And if I remained there, I would also become retarded by association.

So I did the best thing in the situation. I packed my shit and ran.

Or rather, I flapped my wings and took off, leaving the Pidgeot and its baby boy to their incoherent squawking. I didn't look back, didn't dare to. I just kept flying, my heart pounding in my chest.

Misty held on tight, her arms wrapped around my neck. "Slow down a bit bastarddd" she shouted over the wind.

I just kept flying, my wings beating rapidly as I put as much distance between us and the Pidgeot as possible.

I thought I had escaped the Pidgeot's notice, but sadly, it didn't work. In just a few seconds, the bigger of the retarded birds noticed me and started giving chase.

Apparently, it's not just size that determines speed, but also some Pokémon bullshit magic or maybe evolution just makes the muscles stronger. Whatever the reason, the Pidgeot was gaining on me fast.

I quickly thought of a viable strategy to escape the current predicament. I didn't have much time, so I had to act fast.

"Ditto, what are you doing?!" Misty shouted, her voice full of panic.

But I didn't respond. I just stopped flying, my eyes fixed on the ground below.

Misty's grip on my neck tightened as she realized what I was planning.

"Noooo-!"

My massive body started diving toward the ground, my wings tucked in. Misty's voice was a mixture of fear and curses, but I couldn't hear her over the rushing wind.

We were mere seconds away from crashing head-first into the ground and becoming a puddle of goo.

With just 5-10 seconds to spare, I quickly started flapping my wings downward. It decreased my speed just enough to make a quick landing without accidents.

I landed with a thud, my wings spread wide to balance myself. I quickly squeaked to Misty to get down.

Fortunately, either because she understood me (low chances) or because she needed to vomit her guts out (higher chances), she got off my back.

Misty stumbled away from me, her face green with nausea.

After dropping Misty off, I turned back and headed straight for the Pidgeot, who was still rushing towards me with a fierce determination. But I wasn't having it. I flew with full speed towards her, my wings beating rapidly as I gained momentum.

The Pidgeot's expression changed from anger to surprise as I came hurtling towards her. She clearly didn't expect me to turn the tables on her like this.

I used Quick Attack to rush towards her, but just as I was about to collide with her, she suddenly unleashed a Hurricane. What the fuck? Who uses a high-power move at the start? Shouldn't we start with some easy moves and gradually ramp it up? This bird is crazy!

The winds of the Hurricane surrounded me, trapping me in a vortex of swirling air. The sharpness of the winds left cuts and bruises on my body, and I could feel my power dwindling. I wasn't strong enough to break free of it.

And to make matters worse, I dared not transform back into Ditto form. I would become mincemeat or jelly in this state.

But I refused to give up. I gritted my teeth and focused all my energy on using Quick Attack once more. This time, I aimed upwards, trying to break free of the Hurricane's grasp.

The winds howled around me as I burst upwards, my body straining against the force of the Hurricane. For a moment, I thought I was going to be torn apart, but then I felt a surge of energy and

I broke free of the vortex.

I emerged from the Hurricane, my feathers ruffled and my body battered, but I was still flying.

Motherfucking ouch, that hurt more than I had expected. The Pidgeot looked at me with a bit of glee at my poor state, its eyes gleaming with a sadistic pleasure.

You fucker, you just wait.

Without giving it a moment to respond, I again used Quick Attack, beak-first in its face. But the Pidgeot easily dodged the attack, its reaction rate dwarfing mine. At least when it wasn't arguing like a retard, it seemed to have some semblance of intelligence.

The Pidgeot released a torrent of Wing Attacks on my back, shredding my soft feathers. I stumbled in the air, my wings not really supporting my weight. The retarded bird squealed in a malevolent glee, its eyes shining with a cruel light.

"PIDGEOTOTOTOT!" I squawked, my feathers ruffled with anger. (Just wait fat ass!)

The Pidgeot's beak was struck open in shock as my large body started compressing and becoming a small globe of pink slime, freefalling through the skies. I could almost hear its brain cells short-circuiting as it tried to process what was happening.

And then, moments later, my body started becoming large once again, and I kept looking at the retarded bird with a confident smirk.

"PIDGEOTT" (Get prepared to have your fat ass whooped!) I squeaked, my feathers ruffled with excitement.

Fuckk, this thing is buffed as hell! I realized after mimicking it that this was a definitely high-level Pokémon (not that level existed explicitly in this universe). It had a plethora of moves, 18 to be exact. It even had Sand Attack, Aerial Ace, Feather Dance, Air Slash and even Hyper Beam among others, not to forget the Hurricane it used earlier.

All fucking high-damage moves, especially the Hyper Beam. I wasn't even sure I could even use it based on how much energy it saps from user.

But I wasn't intimidated. I had a plan. I used Hurricane to trap the Pidgeot, creating a massive vortex of swirling air that would make it hard for it to move.

The Pidgeot, however, was not one to back down. It used Air Slash to meet the winds mid-flight, and we both collided in a loud boom. The force of the impact sent us both flying back, but I didn't give it a moment's respite.

Without hesitation, I used Aerial Ace, an attack that was so fast it was documented as unavoidable in the Pokédex. I used the earlier attack as cover to sneak up on it from above, and before it could even react, I was upon it.

But I knew that my enemy was fast, and I also didn't have the reserve of energy to use the sequence of high-energy attacks again. So, I had to get creative. I used Tailwind in conjunction with Aerial Ace, increasing my speed fourfold.

The retarded bird never saw me coming until I was near. It tried to use Sand Attack in hopes to disrupt me, but before it could, I crashed headfirst into it with the power of a thousand suns.

BOOM!

The impact was so intense that it sent shockwaves through the air, creating a miniature whirlwind that lifted nearby leaves and debris off the ground. The Pidgeot stumbled back, its feathers ruffled and its eyes dazed.

I, on the other hand, was grinning from ear to ear. That was one hell of a combo.
