Hunter sighed, pushing the covers off and swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "That's too bad," he said, standing up to face her. "Because what I have to say is serious. And I want you to hear it right now, he said stubbornly as he held her gaze.

Delilah's eyes flickered with irritation, and she quickly turned to leave. But before she could do that Hunter's hand shot out and he grabbed her wrist.
