Exposed

Gabriel felt as though someone had slapped him in the face. A gust of wind blew, removing all the intense feelings and leaving only barren land.

"Punishment? "But I did not yell!" Gabriel took offense and forced himself to sit.

His eyes were unbelievably fixed on Eveline, who simply gave him a lazy look.

"It was not for screaming, but for the night you slept on me after pushing me to the peak."

"And you dare to drink," Eveline said, ready to leave him stranded, but the next moment she found herself pinned beneath him, his eyes blazing fire as he looked at her deeply.

"And I promise never to touch it again in my life. So, why the punishment?" he asked.

Eveline looked at Gabriel with surprise. Her eyes searched for sanity, which appeared to be lost in the midst of his rage.

She regretted even playing him after pushing him to the brink of bursting, but she was determined to exact revenge on him.
