Ch - 49 The Streak?

When Barry left, Swayam also headed toward the incident site. Although he could have arrived there much faster, he deliberately refrained from showing his full capabilities.

Just as he arrived near the incident site, Barry, who had gone to S.T.A.R. Labs first to change into his superhero suit, approached from behind and handed Swayam his own suit.

As Barry handed Swayam his suit, they heard a terrified scream from above them. When they looked up, they spotted a window washer hanging from the edge of a bosun chair.

Seeing the situation, Swayam hastily donned his suit. While he did that, Barry contacted Caitlin and Cisco, informing them of the situation. "Guys, there's a window washer, and he's gonna fall."

Upon hearing about the situation, Cisco immediately responded, "Don't try and catch him. You don't have super strength. Let Sam do it."

Swayam, who had just donned his suit, heard their conversation and interjected, "I don't think that would be a good idea. I can do it, but the gravitational impact of his fall and the sudden halt would quite possibly result in his death."

Everyone realized the flaw in this plan.

Given the dire situation, Cisco suggested another idea, "Sam, could you consecutively jump and catch him mid-air while he's falling?"

Seeing the feasibility of the idea, Swayam considered it, but just as he was about to execute the plan, Caitlin interjected, "Although this seems feasible, the impact from Sam's sudden stop while carrying that man would still apply to him, which could result in his bones breaking and organs rupturing."

Just as Caitlin finished speaking, Barry, who was standing near Swayam and listening to their conversation through the coms, suggested an idea. "Is there a bed store nearby? What if we get mattresses and stack them?"

Caitlin, seeing the flaw in this idea, scoffed and said, "Barry, this isn't a Road Runner cartoon."

"Help! Help!"

Seeing the window washer screaming for his life, Barry thought of something and spoke, "How fast would I need to go to run up a building?"

Cisco, curious about Barry's idea but needing more information, asked, "How far up do you need to go?"

Seeing that Barry was working out a plan to save the window washer, Swayam went toward the building to help the cops barricade the area and guide people away from the falling debris.

While moving away from the building, Barry replied to Cisco, "Uh, I don't know, 50 meters give or take."

With the necessary information, Cisco began to calculate. "Thirty-two point fifty-seven..."

Seeing that the man's grip could loosen at any time or the bosun chair could break and fall, Swayam urged them to come up with a solution faster. "Guys, hurry."

Understanding the urgency, Caitlin hastily replied, "Just run really fast and you'll be fine. But you need to maintain your velocity on the way down, or..." She provided Barry with all the information she could but didn't finish her sentence out of fear of what might happen if Barry didn't maintain his velocity.

Growing anxious, Barry hastily questioned her, "Or what?"

Caitlin replied after a brief pause, "Splat."

Barry, once again, managed to pull off the impossible and ran up the vertical building. He maintained his velocity and saved the window washer. Since he had the window washer in his hands, he couldn't stop the bosun chair from falling, but thankfully Swayam was present. He managed to stop it from falling on anyone.

While Swayam easily held the broken bosun chair with his hands, and Barry stood near the rescued window washer, Iris suddenly appeared in front of them and saw them in their superhero suits.

Although Shadow, Swayam's hero name, had appeared in front of many people, it was the first time Barry appeared in front of someone, especially Iris. Barry knew that Iris was writing a blog about the superhero Streak, but all those were minor mentions from different people's statements about being saved without seeing the individual. Now that she had seen him with her own eyes, she could write about him with confidence, hope, and reassurance that Central City, just like Starling City, now had guardians who silently protected it and its citizens without asking anything in return.

Fearing that Iris, with whom he had grown up, would easily recognize him under the mask, Barry left the scene using his super speed. As for Swayam, after reassuring himself that no one was in danger and that no one needed help anymore, he camouflaged with the night and retreated from the place.
