Two Camps

The next morning, Kein woke up from a good night's sleep. He stretched for three minutes and decided to wash his face before his morning jog. Meanwhile, he didn't realise that since he woke up, his heart was still beating fast and his smile was still there, though not as obvious as before he went to bed.

What makes him happy is how different he is now from how he was last year. Back then, he was selected as the dormitory's representative even though it ended tragically and he didn't get the chance to play for much longer. But seeing how far he'd come and continued to train without complaint or consistency, Kein could feel a significant difference so there was no way he was just an afterthought this time around.

After all, if Damian was selected for this year's competition for reasons known only to the coach and his assistants, it's possible that Sherla had a big role to play in suggesting the two of them because lately they sometimes chat after class.
