Not many of them can stay on the court for five minutes. Basketball relies on quick attacks and momentum, considering that every movement is limited and no mistakes can be made. That is also a problem for each individual in addition to the mentality that must also be formed. It is not easy to become a professional in any field.
"In the future, we will do more cardio training. Although basketball is also cardio, the development of breathing is still below other sports. I have asked the athletics division for permission to borrow some parts of the court for you guys. After that, we'll use the gymnasium to get your bodies in shape.
"Don't forget that basketball also relies on a sturdy physique or else you'll be knocked down by your opponent and humiliated. This is all thanks to Sherla who supervised your training this afternoon."
"Really? Just one look?"
"I really don't believe it. She's not clairvoyant or psychic, is she?"
Many of them doubted the assistant coach's ability to name a few exercises that should be on the list. Although Coach Marlon would occasionally schedule physical conditioning sessions, he rarely used the gymnasium as his first choice. As far as calisthenics is concerned, it is more than enough to strengthen muscle mass and there is no need to use heavy equipment and weights.
In fact, almost every sports academy or club uses the gymnasium for targeted muscle building. Naturally, Sherla gave them an unfortunate look after finding out that 80 per cent of them were skinny and barely able to accentuate the muscles of their arms and legs.
"There is definitely a lot of work to be done on our part. I know we made it to the finals of the official competition a few months ago. But even if you make it, I'm sure we won't be able to compete fiercely considering how much we have to improve. Sherla comes with her experience as an assistant who not only replaces my role but also gives me advice on training or anything else that I can't fully understand."
They had yet to understand the actual duties of the coach because it was none of their business. But after the coach talked a bit about his grievances, it seemed that it was indeed their coach who could not control himself and threw his responsibilities on others. Here, Sherla is either a victim or a hero, it's just a matter of how they deal with Coach Marlon's behaviour in the future.
On the other hand, Kein was busy gawking, observing the 'system' that was trying to break down the daily tasks that were still outstanding.
"You're daydreaming again. What are you thinking about?" This time Damian was really curious. He pointed at his friend's head quite loudly and repeatedly, almost causing an unnecessary commotion.
Kein swatted Damian's hand away quite hard, the look on his face suddenly changed, his forehead frowning deeply. "Can you lower your hand or I'll separate it from your body?"
"Relax mate, relax. I'm trying to care for you as a close friend, is that wrong?" Damian couldn't retaliate against her behaviour or the problem would escalate further.
"For now, I want you to keep quiet because nothing is happening to me at all. You know I always tell you if something happens to me, right?"
Damian nodded, "You're right. I shouldn't have to worry about you to this extent. I'm sorry, mate."
"Don't worry about it too deeply. I'm sure you have your thoughts."
Kein patted his friend's shoulder. Although he did not like being interrupted when he understood something annoying, still, the concern of a close friend should not be ignored. His services were too great for Kein. When they decided to live in the dormitory, their roommates could be said to be their second family besides their biological family. Exchanging stories, expressing opinions and so on.
Since being abandoned by his family, Kein had no one to talk to but his current dorm mates. His uncle was not an unemployed person who was always willing to listen to his complaints. After all, Kein didn't want to trouble his uncle who worked for the family, but also still left his income for his nephew.
"That's all I have to tell you. Go back to your rooms and rest well. You all will have a tough day tomorrow."
"Yes, coach." Their shouts echoed in their ears. Showing that their preparations were not half-hearted and changing their minds if their training sessions seemed to have increased since the arrival of the assistant coach.

Returning to the room after training with a mixed heart, Kein lay down on the bed. He hadn't picked up his mobile phone since morning due to the cruel 'system' that kept urging him to complete his daily missions.
Although it was not a hindrance to him, it could be said that he had two training sessions without the coach's knowledge. His eyes closed as he rested his body for a moment. Damian was still Damian, who was so fanatical about games that he always spent his free time playing games. But what surprised his friends was that his addiction to two-dimensional games did not lower the quality of his play on the pitch.
With nothing else to do, Kein decided to observe how far he had come.
'I want to see my stats. Can you?' Kein seemed to be talking to the 'system through telepathy.
[Nicolas Kein]
[Skill: 67]
[Ball Handle 80]
[Passing: 82]
[Shooting: 60]
[Vision: 85]
[Strength: 30]
[Unique Ability: Special Jump]
'Again and again. Why is my strength so low? Does this have anything to do with my skinny posture like a stick? Kein observed himself for a moment before he sighed. The voice was heard by his friend who was busy maintaining the dominance of victory.
"What is it, Kein? Do you need anything?"Damian asked.
"Focus on your phone. I'm just a little tired" " Kein's answer wasn't entirely lying.
There was no reply from the figure of a friend on the top mattress and instead, he seemed happy after winning the game.
Despite seeing his strength stats only increase slightly, on the other hand, he seemed happy because the points on his shooting skill increased by two points. That figure isn't too much but he still appreciates the process over the years.
'Even the 'system' also added the ability that I just got today. Is that necessary? What if I unlock all the skills and the screen is filled with whatever I'm good at?'
