Chapter 29: A Million dollar kiss! (Edited)

I take the container with the two-whole roasted chickens from Aunt May's hands so she doesn't have to carry it, and the three of us head across the road to Aunt Cass's house.

I notice a red Tesla in the garage, signalling MJ's arrival as well. Knocking on the door, the door opens with MJ standing in front of me.

"Oh, Penny, Aunt May, come inside," MJ says with a smile, completely ignoring me.

Aunt May looks at me with a raised eyebrow, but I just shrug helplessly.

As we go in and head towards the living room, I put the containers in the kitchen and join everyone else.

I sit on an empty sofa as Maggie, Aunt May, Aunt Cass, and Mother seem to be reminiscing about their college days.

I knew that Aunt May and mother had been friends for a long time and had gone together to Barnard College here in New York, where they were roommates. But I didn't know that Maggie and Aunt Cass had also attended the same college and were roommates too.

Just as I sit down, Cassie stops teasing Mochi and moves closer to me.

"So, Lucas, are you on FaceSpace?" she asks expectantly, pulling out her phone with a shy expression.

From the other sofa, MJ snickers and looks away as I glance towards her.

"Do you not use social media?" Cassie asks, puzzled by MJ's reaction.

"It's just that you're asking the owner of FaceSpace if he has an account," Penny remarks with a small smile.

"Please don't ask him if he has an Insta-Gram account too," MJ adds with an amused expression.

Cassie's jaw drops in shock as she looks at me, unsure if they were joking or telling the truth.

"Ignore them, let me add you," I say with a smile, pulling out my phone. To my surprise, Cassie's profile is already open, courtesy of D.A.I.S.Y.'s proactive assistance. Luckily, Cassie seems too shocked to notice.

I simply click on the "Add Friend" button, and a notification pops up on Cassie's phone. She looks at me, and I nod, prompting her to accept the request.

Before Cassie can question me further, Aunt Cass calls everyone to the Dining room for Dinner.

The Dinner was delightful, with delicious food and even better company. The lively conversation revolved mainly around me, mom, Aunt Cass, and MJ. Cassie appeared to be engrossed in her phone. Penny is always a bit reserved around new people, so she kept to herself. And Maggie seemed somewhat distracted, frequently casting glances in my direction.

After dinner, Aunt Cass cheerfully opens her wine cabinet, taking out multiple bottles of wine. "This is a celebration, so we should celebrate!" she declares, her tone brimming with joy.

"Hmph" Cassie seemed upset and it wasn't just I who noticed this.

Sensing the tension, Aunt Cass swiftly intervened. "Mary, why don't you take Penny and Cassie upstairs? Show them the new PS console I have bought," she suggests, her smile warm.

"Alright," MJ readily agreed, taking Penny and Cassie's hands and leading them upstairs. She seemed to understand that it was time for a private conversation.

Aunt Cass handed everyone a glass and began pouring the wine. I sipped mine, observing the nervous energy in the room, particularly focused on Maggie, who appeared fidgety.

"Okay, I will tell him then," Aunt Cass began, "Luke Magg-"

But before she could continue, Maggie interjected, "No, let me say it."

I focus my attention on her.

"I have been recently divorced," Maggie began, her voice steady as she sipped her wine.

"Yeah, that's what this party is for," Aunt Cass chimed in with a hint of jest in her tone.

"Umm, yes... so Scott is in jail now, and I have to now earn for the two of us, which is fine," Maggie continues, her gaze fixed on her wine cup.

"You could join my coffee house; I wouldn't mind an extra hand there," Aunt Cass offers her sincerely.

"Thanks, Cass," Maggie says looking at her gratefully,"But much more recently, Cassie... started having difficulty breathing when she exercised, and she is almost always tired," she continues, taking a deep breath. "So when my ex-husband's trial was going on, I took her to a hospital, and they tested her and said that she has a severe case of an untreated congenital heart defect (CHD)," she explains with a blank face.

Aunt Cass came beside her and started caressing her back, offering silent support. "The things they were saying... were very scary, so with the help of Cass, I was able to bring her to a very famous heart surgeon," Maggie says, her gaze shifting to Aunt Cass with a grateful expression, who just responded with a polite smile.

"Still the diagnosis remained the same; she was born with a 'weak' heart, but we never discovered it during her birth or even until now. And now her heart… it was already underdeveloped, and now it has been severely damaged. There has been damage to her heart muscle, blood vessels, aorta, so the circulation of oxygenated blood is… very difficult," Maggie explains, her voice cracking as her eyes grew misty.

"What did the doctor say? Is it treatable? Our Watson Aid Network can help you with the fees so you don't have to worry about it," Aunt May offers softly, her gaze shifting to me for confirmation, which I provide with a nod.

"Haah, it's not just about money… The doctor said that surgery is extremely complex, and there is a very high chance of heart failure," Maggie explains, tears streaming down her face. "I don't want to lose my little girl," she says, breaking down. "First Scott, and now this… God seems to be punishing us!" She cries, overcome with emotion.

Aunt Cass hugs her tightly, offering silent comfort as Maggie wept in her embrace.

"Can I see her reports?" I ask thoughtfully.

"Here, I have them ready," Aunt Cass replies, opening her phone and handing it to me.

I examine the reports and scans of Cassie's heart, and even though I am not an expert in the field, it's evident why the doctor expressed such grave concerns. Her heart is damaged severely... infact all I can see is a dying heart.

"The doctor also said that even if the surgery is successful, it will only add a few more years to her life," Maggie says, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Don't worry," Madeline reassures with a comforting smile. "My son will definitely save your daughter," she declares, her faith in me unwavering.

I was well aware of mom's extraordinary belief in me, and honestly, it filled me with a sense of profound happiness to have her back me up always.

"It is certainly possible to cure her completely," I say with an easygoing smile.

Well she can't be cured normally, as even my Watson Labs doesn't have someone with such a skill, but I can just cheat my way out of it, with other non-normal methods.

"Really?" Maggie asks in surprise, her hope shining through her tears as she looks at me. She lifts her head from Aunt Cass's embrace, eyes wide with disbelief. "She can really be saved?" she asks, her voice trembling with emotion.

"100 percent," I affirm, my conviction unwavering.

Maggie stands up and rushes to hug me, overwhelmed with gratitude. "Thank you! Thank you, Lucas!" she cries, her tears soaking my chest.

"See, I told you. Luke is a miracle boy; there is nothing difficult for him," Madeline says with a proud smile.

Aunt Cass breathes a sigh of relief, her tension dissipating as she smiles warmly at Maggie, who is still overcome with emotion. Aunt May joins in, her expression reflecting happiness and relief.

"Yes, just bring her to Watson Labs tomorrow, and we will start her treatment," I say gently, rubbing Maggie's back reassuringly.

"Good, okay, stop hugging my nephew now," Aunt Cass interjects in a teasing tone.

Maggie recoils in shock, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, and she quickly releases me from the hug, wiping away her tears.

"This calls for a celebration, so let's stop all this crying and drink up!" Aunt Cass declares, her voice carrying a note of joviality as she opens another bottle of wine.

"You guys drink; I will go and do the dishes," Aunt May offers, standing up.

"No, you stay here; let me do it," I interject, rising from my seat.

"No, it's fine, Luke. I'm a light drinker anyways," Aunt May insists, smiling.

"No, you all made such a good dinner. Let me do this in return," I counter, already making my way towards the kitchen.

"Alright then," Aunt May sighs in defeat, settling back down on the couch.

I could hear Aunt Cass encouraging others to drink up as I busied myself with putting the dishes in the dishwasher.

Suddenly, I sensed someone entering the kitchen.

Glancing back, I saw Cassie, and I could immediately notice two 'huge' difference which surprised me. Well even with such a serious heart condition she has grown up really nicely, her deep cleavage can attest to that.

"Lucas Watson, I looked you up online, and you're like, really famous," Cassie says, her tone deliberately sultry. "And rich," she adds, moving closer to my body, gazing up at me with pursed lips.

Observing her behaviour today, I concluded that Maggie hadn't fully informed Cassie of the seriousness of her condition. Nevertheless, I was enjoying this 'performance' of hers.

"And how can I help you, Cassie?" I ask, smiling.

"W-will … will you be my Suger Daddy?" She asks looking at me with determined eyes.

"Huh?" My expression betrayed my surprise as I look at the young girl in front of me. "Do you even know what that term means?" I ask, curiosity colouring my tone. After all, it was possible she misunderstood its implications.

"Yes I know" She replies looking at me with a nervous look, "I have heard girls in my class discussing how a senior has a sugar daddy for her who is very rich." Cassie responds with a small blush covering her face.

"Why do you want me to be your... Sugar Daddy?" I ask narrowing my eyes in suspicion.

"That, that... Y-you have a lot of money, right?" Cassie's voice trembles with nerves as she spoke, but her eyes were filled with hope. "S-so you can definitely save my father! He is in prison now, and Mom has abandoned him. He will stay in that bad place for years, and only I am the one who wants to help him!" Cassie's eyes misted over with tears as she pleads with me.

Now I understood why Cassie had been so angry with Maggie; she was upset about the divorce, unaware of the gravity of her own health condition

"And do you know what a girl does for her Sugar Daddy?" I ask with a curious look.

"Of course I know, I am not a kid" Cassie says thrusting her breasts more in front of me,"But you can help my father right?" She asks with a hopeful tone.

I take out my mobile phone, thinking of how she really doesn't look like a kid right now.

"Yes, D.A.I.S.Y., prepare a lawyer for a person called Scott Lang; he must be in prison right now. Let's try to bring him out 'soon,'" I instruct, noticing Cassie's surprised and happy expression.

"And which lawyer team should I hire?" D.A.I.S.Y.'s voice comes from my mobile.

"Let's hire Nelson and Murdock, the new law firm from Hell's Kitchen. I heard they are very good,"I tell her with an amused expression.

"Consider it done," affirms D.A.I.S.Y., and I put the phone back in my pocket.

"Thank you, Lucas!" Cassie says, her beautiful smile reflecting her happiness as she looked at me.

"Call me Luke," I tell her with a smile, "Now as your Sugar Daddy, lets taste my 'daughter' first" I say holding Cassie's chin with my fingers and leaning down towards her pink cherry lips.

Cassie seems to panic for a moment, but then she closes her eyes shut.

Our lips meet gently, initiating a slow, deliberate kiss. I savour the sensation, exploring her lips at first before deepening the kiss. My tongue finds its way into her mouth, and I taste the sweetness of her kiss.

"Haaah... Hhaaa..."

When I break the kiss, Cassie is breathing heavily, her body pressed against mine. Her face is flushed red, and her chest rises and falls rapidly with each breath.

I look at Cassie with concern, realising that I completely forgot about her condition in the heat of the moment.

"That was wonderful," she says with a shy expression. "My father will be saved now, right?"

"Even if the lawyers fail, I can just buy that million-dollar company easily and order them to drop the case against your father," I say with a simple smile.

"But that's a lot of money," Cassie says, her eyes widening.

"This kiss was worth a million dollars," I say, tracing my fingers over her pink, moist lips.
