I rested for a while, then decided to wake Huan Huan up.

But Huan Huan was sleeping so soundly that no matter how I called, she wouldn't wake up. She was even muttering words I couldn't understand.

I sighed helplessly, realizing Huan Huan was completely drunk; I had no choice but to steel myself and carry her out of the private room.

When I got into a taxi with Huan Huan, I found it was already eleven o'clock at night, and I didn't know where she lived, so I could only take her to my place to stay overnight.

I struggled to usher Huan Huan into my room; throughout the whole process, she was utterly unresponsive, a testament to how drunk she was.

My husband was already home, lying on the couch, sound asleep, with empty bottles of alcohol all over the table—it seemed he'd been drowning his sorrows in drink.

I laid Huan Huan on the bed and collapsed tiredly next to her.
